Today we continue the series of talking about the trends that you can find in the 2024 trends for breakthrough success. That's breakthrough business success in 2024. There's a total of 15 trends. It's a free report that you can download by going to Jason sbradrill.com trends, where in the report you'll discover those 15 items that businesses should be paying attention to in 2024. And in the report, you'll see that I recommend that you only focus on two to three of them. Those that are those that represent the biggest opportunity for you and your business to achieve breakthrough success in 2024. Indeed, the way to win in 2024 is to deliver consistently in the areas that matter, because that consistency will help set you apart from your competitors. Now, today's trend is trend number 10. So after today, we've got five more to go. And it's titled flexibility, Workplace, play, and Pay. Now, this is an emerging theme in 2024, but the reality is it's been around forever. We just find that organizations are using the COVID pandemic as an excuse to change their behavior and, well, it's just not acceptable. So the reality is before COVID individuals had the level of flexibility in their business and it varied in their jobs and it varied from business to business. That shouldn't change just because we had a pandemic where flexibility really went out the window and everyone had to work remotely for some period of time, if not an extended period of time. So why are so many businesses struggling with this idea in 2024 of instead of being flexible, they're being rigid? Instead of letting people work, work from home a couple of days a week, there, everyone's in the office. I'm not saying you don't need people to come together in the office. In fact, I encourage it. But it doesn't mean that everyone has to be in the office every single day. More importantly, this is a nuanced trend. It's not just about work from home or remote work, whatever you want to call it. It's specifically titled flexibility, work, play, and pay. And what we're seeing is that there is a number of groups, employee groups, where pay isn't the number one thing. In fact, many of there, there is a growing number of people that would prefer less pay for more benefits or for more paid time off, for example, or for just more time off. Some would, some would take less pay to work from home. Some want more pay and more restrictions. The reality of of this trend is it's all about the employee experience. How can you attract the right people, the right talent who will absolutely consistently nail getting the job done? And when you attract those, how those individuals, how can you create an employment package that is flexible to their needs while still delivering on your business needs? So I'd encourage you to have a look at the report and to start considering total cost of employment versus just bucketing the money into specific areas. At the end of the day, it's not going to cost you, the employer more to offer the individual more flexibility and in return you'll have higher engagement, more loyalty, less turnover and happier customers. So look at that total cost of employment and be flexible about how you package it up to suit the best talent for your role. Of course, if you're looking to accelerate your growth in 2024, well, I'm here to help. And I have a program called the Business Breakthrough Coaching program. It's a 12 week growth accelerator. So it's complimentary to set out that application.
