We all have them. That customer that's just really challenging. You know, you might call them a difficult customer, and you're probably wondering how to better serve them, or perhaps how to get rid of them. The first step to managing a difficult or challenging customer is to take the time to listen to them. Not interrupt them, just let them tell their story. The second thing that you need to do in that equation is repeat back to them a summary of what you understood. And then the third step is to give them really clear steps that you're going to take to resolve their problem. Problem. And if you can't resolve their problem completely, be open and transparent about that from the beginning so that you start to repair the trust and help that customer become a customer for life. If you have a friend that has some challenging customers and needs some help serving them, be sure to share this video with them.
