Trend 15 Generative AI

Jason S. Bradshaw argues generative AI like ChatGPT should unblock creative thinking, not replace workers. He shares a client workshop where a stuck discussion restarted when someone used ChatGPT on their phone, and describes using AI himself to get back into flow state. Organizations should adopt it tactically in 2024 to speed work while keeping human creativity central.

Welcome to a live edition of Talking Points with Jason. I'm Jason Espretcher, of course, and it's so great that you're taking time out of your day to catch up with this episode where we're Talking about the 15th trend from the Breakthrough Business Success Trends report. And the 15th trend is the last trend and it's generative AI. Now if you haven't seen me talk about each of the trends over the last 15 episodes, be sure to grab yourself a copy of the report@jasonesbradshaw.com trends. You can download it completely free of charge. And there you'll see the 15 trends that I predict will help organizations in 2024 achieve in their business and in their teams. Breakthrough success. Now, 15 sounds like a lot. And I'm exactly saying in the report, don't try and work on all 15. I encourage you to look at those two or three areas that present the greatest opportunity for you to close the gap between where you currently are and where your expectation, where your customers and employees expectations are. Now, I can help you do that through my breakthrough coaching program, but we'll talk more about that a little bit later. Let's get into today's trend Now. Today's trend, as I said, is generative AI things like ChatGPT things programs that can help generate ideas, whether they be visual or or text based, even audio based ones. Now. Now, before we get too far into this trend, I want to clarify one thing. I don't think generative AI's primary purpose is to replace employees. I know there's a lot of hype out there that you can save yourself employees if you use generative AI tools. That may be the case, but what you'll be producing isn't your own work completely. It's certainly aided with a lot of technology behind you. Where I think generative AI can come through is in your organization right now is in in ways that are practical but helpful. So let me give you an example. Last year I was working with a client of facilitating a organizational promise and ways of working. Now in the room was the founder, the CEO, the cfo, the head of retail, myself and from time to time other people. Now, it wasn't a large group of people, but it was a really important topic and we hit a number of roadblocks where some individuals would say the sky is blue and others would say it's only blue because of the reflection of the sun on the horizon or it doesn't matter what they were saying. My point was we'd get To a point where we were stuck. And this is an example of where generative AI can come out and help because each individual in the room picked up their phones, jumped on Chat GPT, put in their own unique command to ChatGPT and from that generated responses. Now those responses restarted the conversation. It fueled the conversation, it allowed individuals to break through that mental barrier that we're currently in that block state and get back into a flow state. And so through that use of generative AI we were able to collaborate and get to a conclusion of what great would look like within the organization. Now that is just one example, but it highlights that used correctly it can help you get back into a flow state. Equally if you know I'm sitting here at my desk in my office and I'm having a bit of a block, I will send at times use generative aid AI tools not to create content, although some people do, but rather again to get me into that flow state to challenge myself, to allow my curiosity to run wild if you like to be creative and then create myself my piece of work. So I think organizations in 2024 that achieve breakthrough success will find ways to use generative AI to speed up their organization to ensure that the organization is in a flow state more then it's in a block state. So that's generative AI in a nutshell. I would certainly encourage you though to continue to create your own work and not completely use generative AI to do the work for you. Now all this season I've been talking to you about how I have a one on one bespoke coaching program for leaders just like you who who want in 2024 to accelerate their growth, to achieve in their business, in their teams breakthrough success. Now the 12 week program is has a series of elements including one on one time where you and I will work on breaking through and achieving success in those areas that represent the greatest opportunities to accelerate your growth in 2024. Now I do limit the number of people I work with at any one time purely because I want to make sure that I have the capacity and the focus to help you achieve. And so with that there is an application process. It's business breakthrough coaching.net you'll learn a little bit more about the program. You'll also be able to apply for the program and the application is free. But the process of the application is to help me get a bit of an understanding of where you are in your business and also for me to make an assessment of whether I'm going to be able to help you accelerate your growth, and if not, there's no problems. I'll certainly recommend you to someone that can. And if I do believe that I can help you accelerate in 2024, then I or the team will reach out and set up your onboarding call. So that's business breakthrough coaching.net go check it out. Fill out the application. And and I look forward to working with you in 2024 to achieve that success that you've been looking for. I am Jason Ayres Bradshaw, and until next time we speak, I wish you great success.
