Jayson Lowe (speaker) advises against becoming "taken out of service"—arguing that fully retiring can lead to mental and physical stagnation. He recommends reframing retirement as creating a lifestyle supported by passive income and aiming to design the life you want (no fixed target age), noting people live longer and thus have years to pursue goals.

It means to be taken out of service. And not if but when you get to a point in your life where maybe you want to slow down a little bit or you want to do something completely different, there's a force that you have to fight against. And so if you take yourself out of service then you're going to essentially become stagnant. You'll become stagnant mentally, you'll become stagnant physically. And so don't become low hanging fruit for gravity. Maybe replace the word retirement with the words passive income with the words lifestyle. Because listen, there's no age where hey look, why don't you shoot for creating the lifestyle that you want versus reacting to the one that you have. Why don't you shoot for achieving that by age 55 and there's no target age for that. People are living longer than ever before. You've got so many years ahead of you to set out to achieve the the things that you want to get done.
