A YouTube video by Jayson Lowe explaining the Infinite Banking Concept (becoming your own banker). The speaker emphasizes recapturing interest paid to banks, framing interest as a real lost-opportunity cost, and arguing individuals should perform the ‘banking’ function for their own transactions.

The process of banking has been in existence for thousands of years. And what we're talking about here is we're talking about the essence of becoming your own banker, which is to recapture the interest that you presently pay to banks and the finance companies. And one must recognize the fundamental principle that we either pay interest to access someone else's pile of money or we give up the opportunity that our money could have earned otherwise. In terms of interest, it's lost opportunity cost. So many people pay lip service to the words lost opportunity cost, but very few people actually reckon with it. It is beyond legitimate. It's a fact that we need the use of money throughout the course of our lifetime and that money must flow from one supply source to another in a relatively short time frame. Otherwise no transactions take place in your life. Someone must perform that function as it relates to your needs and, and that person should be you. So it is legitimate.
