Save $5 a day, about $1,800 a year. That small, consistent amount is the foundation of personal finance. It's big enough to matter but small enough to actually stick with.

Save $5 a day, about $1,800 a year. That small, consistent amount is the foundation of personal finance. It's big enough to matter but small enough to actually stick with.
So I want you to be very clear and make that commitment that I'm going to, you know, take that $5 a day and I'm going to put it away. I'm going to do that consistently over time. That builds the foundation. That's what you need to do. So we're going to look a little just at the foundation. Now people will ask, you know, could I do more than $1,800 a year? Well, the answer is yes, your foundation could be more than that. But I'm telling you, you want to make it meaningful, because if it isn't meaningful, you will lose interest. So $1,800 a year as a base required premium will give you the ability to do something that's very meaningful.
