A YouTube video by Jayson Lowe (uploaded March 25, 2023) about boom-and-bust economic cycles. The speaker argues history shows repeating patterns, mentioning short (5–10 year) boom–bust cycles layered beneath larger generational cycles, and suggests we are currently in one of those larger time frames.
Like we had a historical record that we could go back on where we could see previous examples of this kind of shenanigan happening. We're literally seeing certain aspects and components of history repeating itself. And you go through these generational cycles. There's like five to ten year boom bust cycles, and then there's these larger, more intrinsic generational cycles that take place. And I believe that's kind of the time frame that we find ourselves in right now.
