Hello and welcome to the Evidence Based Chiropractor. I AM your host, Dr. Jeff Langme. This week we are going to talk all about Facebook Live Video, why it is important, why you should be doing it, and how you can overcome your fears. Get some topics together and get started immediately. Before we dive in, I'll say a few words as I do each and every week about Rock Tape. You can check that out@rocktape.com rockstock it is their annual movement seminar. It's taking place this September 22nd and 23rd in beautiful Huntington Beach, California. I will be out there interviewing people doing some live Facebook type events. Good timely coordination with our topic. Today there's gonna be 12 hours of continuing education. There'll be some morning activities, lunch will be provided. There's music all throughout. And if you get your tickets before June 15, there is early bird pricing which saves you a hundred bucks. But for today's episode, it is all about Facebook Live Video and we're going to talk a few things. There's a lot of chiropractors out there that are either scared or nervous to get started. They don't know what to talk about. There's a variety of reasons why people haven't got going with Facebook Live video. I see more and more people out there doing it. But I wanted to touch on a few things. If you're already doing it, how you can make yours better and certainly if you haven't started, why you should and also some topics to get you going up and running easily. So without further ado, let's talk a little bit about Facebook Live Video. If you have been following the Evidence Based Chiropractor, you know that I have been doing a pretty solid amount of Facebook Live video for probably the last year or so. And really that takes the reason why is twofold. Number one is there's no better way to tell your story. It's the ultimate medium for storytelling. In other words, people get the audio, they get the visual, of course, and you can easily translate that into text as well because you can see that there's often the subtitles going across. So it really hits all aspects of how we as people intake information. So I love video for that nature. The second component on why it's so important is that Facebook favors it. They want people doing video right now. So if you'll notice, if you put up a post on Facebook that has a picture versus a post on Facebook that has a link versus a post on Facebook that's a Facebook Live video, your Facebook Live video will get to a lot, and I'm talking a lot more people than just text, picture or link. So Facebook themselves act to encourage people to do more video because of course they want to monetize it down the road. But for now they are, and they've started to do that already. But right now, you can put out a Facebook Live video and hit way more people that are following your professional page or your personal page than if you put out a post by itself. So that should get everybody that's listening to this right now. That should get all of you really thinking, whoa, that's important because it is. It's absolutely free, it's easy, and it's going to reach a lot of people. And it's a medium, Facebook Live video, that'll help you tell your story at the highest level. So for all of those reasons, that is absolutely why you should be doing Facebook Live video right now. And if you have been scared to start, I'll tell you, just like any skill, you will get better the more that you do of it. I'm going to do a kind of a how to on the gear side of Facebook Live videos a little bit down the road. But really there's a couple things you want to pay attention to. Number one is lighting. Number two is audio quality. So make sure that you have good lighting. Dim videos stink. So make sure that you have good, good lighting. You can be near a window sometimes just your office has good lighting. If you need to buy a light. They are cheap and easy. We'll dive into detail on that at a later date. Second component is you gotta make sure your audio is crystal clear. Audio will make people turn off video super, super quick if it's staticy, if it sounds like you're in a tunnel or anything else like that. So make sure you keep your audio good. Now, iPhones do a great job collecting audio, which is awesome, but you can also buy a $20 little microphone that clips on. That makes it even better. So again, we'll talk gear later on, but keep in mind, make sure that your audio sounds clear and make sure that your video is nice and bright. Those are two simple things to get started. So then the question really becomes what do I talk about? And this is where a lot of chiropractors get stumped. And I'm gonna give a few examples, five or six on items that you can literally listen to this podcast right now. And before the end of the day, get going with Facebook Live video on your own practice webpage. And by the way, I just said practice webpage. I recommend that you do it on your business page specifically if you're gonna be talking about chiropractic care, health and wellness. Because ult ultimately you want to drive people into your practice. So definitely going from your Facebook business page is nice. If you want to do it from your personal page, you can do that as well. But ultimately the goal is to drive people to that business page and really hit your audience there. One of the big stumbling blocks for a lot of chiropractors has been content like what do I talk about? Am I an expert? I don't know. Well, first of all, you are. There is nobody that's a better natural health expert than all all of the chiropractors out there right now. I'm going to give you a few examples, but I'll also touch on something with the smart chiropractor that you heard me talk about a month ago is a project Jason Deutsch and I launched and it's really marketing chiropractic for modern chiropractors and it's patient focused. So you guys know the evidence based chiropractors specifically focus towards other healthcare providers and bridging that gap and building that relationship. The smart chiropractor is social media graphics, blog posts in office reception area slides. It really has you completely covered from a social media aspect in terms of a marketing service for chiropractic the stuff looks better. It's weekly handouts, it's monthly handouts for you. It's so all encompassing it's hard for me to dive into on just this episode. But a key piece of that is that we installed Facebook Live video. So we actually give every member of the smart chiropractor. You can check it out@thesmartchiropractor.com we give every member of the smart chiropractor a Facebook a new Video Facebook Live video script that they can follow every single week. In addition to that, I do a Facebook Live video completely done for you. So if you still are hesitant to do it yourself, you have me speaking directly to your patients, completely patient focused and it is extremely powerful. Our docs have been getting crazy good results, reaching tons of people and really stepped up their game as a result of using the videos that we create and some of those real go getter docs using the scripts that we give, the exact same script that I use so they can do their own. If you would like a free sample of that, email me jeffevidencebasedchiropractor.com I will actually send you a completely free Facebook Live video script and an example of our video as well. So Facebook Live video, you can hit me up jeffeevidencebasedchiropractor.com and just say facebook Live video. I'll know it's you and I'm happy to send you a completely free example of our Facebook Live video that's done for you. And also I'll shoot you over a free Facebook Live video script. But with that being said, let's talk about a few examples that you could use right now for your practice. So what are some things that you can talk about? Number one is you can talk about what you're seeing online. It sounds so simple. But the items that we're posting at the Evidence based Chiropractor, maybe you follow Amplified, maybe you follow Mercola, maybe you follow Becker's Spine Journal. Just keep an eye on the feedback. And when you have your two cents, and you're gonna have your two cents as a health expert, when you feel something, hop on Facebook Live and chat about it for a few minutes. Doesn't matter if it's 30 seconds, 3 minutes or 30 minutes, just go for it, make it engaging, make it fun and take a stand. So that's a little bit esoteric. Let's even get more specific. One way you can go about things is to address blog comments. So typically most chiropractors, all of us have Facebook pages and websites and we see people post comments to our website, maybe on the blog, or they post comments on our Facebook page. So just take a look at those and give answers. Super simple. So if somebody is written in and asked on your Facebook page, hey, my brother is suffering from sciatica, do you think you can help? Well, you don't need to name the person by name, but you can hop on, do five minutes about sciatica and chiropractic it's engaging, it's fun, and it's directly relevant to the questions that people are asking. And you know, if somebody's asked that question, there's 50 more people that think it, but haven't asked it yet. Number two, give a look inside your business. So you've seen a few of these. We've done some with the evidence based chiropractor, kind of behind the scenes of the studio setup here, but give a behind the scenes. Give an inside look at your business. Walk people through the front door, show them your reception area. Show them the beautiful reception area video that's playing by the smart chiropractor. Show them the handouts that you have from the smart chiropractor. Show them your front desk area. Show them the treatment area, the chiropractic table that they'll be taken care of on. People love that and that deconstructs, decreases friction and decreases fear. Once they know what the inside of your office looks like, it's a lot easier to take that first step through the front door. So give an inside look at your business is a great thing you can do starting right now. Number three, you can promote an upcoming event. So with that, if you have dinner with a doc program, maybe you have a chamber of commerce event or a business networking event, anything that's open, hop on, talk about it. Promote any upcoming event that you have in your office. If it's a food drive, perhaps it's a gift drive around the holidays, hop on Facebook Live once a week and really promote it again. You're gonna get better reach, more engagement and it's a great way to tell your story. Another way that you can go about Facebook Live video starting right now is if you have a new product or service coming in. Maybe you're just getting a decompression table. Maybe you started doing soft tissue work, maybe you started having some sort of foam rollers that are branded. Hop on Facebook Live and talk about it. Tease those new products, let people know what's going on in your office and talk about why it's important to them and their. Another way you can go about it is frequently asked questions. Almost everybody has questions about coming into a chiropractic office. Whether that's. Is it going to hurt to do you take my insurance? So anything in between there that you want to touch on, you can simply do a frequently asked questions Facebook Live video. Again, your patients are going to appreciate it. Stimulate engagement, ask for comments, build it up in your office and then promote it online. So those are just a few different ways that you can start utilizing Facebook Live video for your practice starting right And I will make it a point again if you wanna see a completely done for you video and I'll even give you your own Facebook Live script so you can get started right now. Hit me up. Jeffeevidencebasedchiropractor.com I am happy to share. Thank you for listening. Keep spreading the message of chiropractic care. Keep getting people well. I will talk to you next week.
