Hello and welcome to the Evidence Based Chiropractor. I AM your host, Dr. Jeff Langmead. This week's episode is going to be one that you will want to listen to again and again and it is because we are going to talk about how you can take one piece of content and utilize and maximize its efficiency across multiple platforms. We all know that content is king, but we also need to know that distribution is queen. So we want to make sure that with any piece of content we are putting out there into the world and we'll talk about why that's important in a moment, but that it is getting maximum impact to as many people as possible. Whether you are a doc out there putting out video, whether you're putting up blog posts, whether you're posting informational graphics to Facebook. That's all content. Content is how you educate, inspire, enlighten your audience or your community. Now I will, I'm gonna go on a little bit of an aside before we dive into the tactics and strategies need to know to be successful putting out content. But I want to do a little bit of an aside. If your website is loaded with canned content from your web host, you want to double check that. Because the bottom line is if you and everybody else. I was looking at a bunch of chiropractic websites this past week and if I saw one more that said wellness awaits you at the top, I was, I don't know what I was going to do, but nobody knows what that means. That messaging is not congruent with what people want. But that's a whole nother story regarding the content itself on a lot of these pages. If you and every other Guy in your town that has blah blah, blah, website host.com is putting up the same blog. Google can't tell the difference. So they actually not only don't give you props for it, they don't help you out, they penalize you. Google knows if websites, blogs have the same blogs as everybody else and if that is the case, then you are being penalized for it. So please, please, please, if your web host sold you on the fact that they're gonna do all this wonderful content for you and 8,000 other chiropractors across planet earth, you want to get that stuff off of your website as quickly as possible because you are hurting your local ranking. And you definitely want to be in that top two or three. If someone types in Tampa, chiropract here, chiropractor, you want to be in that top two or three. 70% of the traffic goes to the top three to five search results. And you want to do everything you can to make sure, especially if it's free, you want to do everything you can that's free to make sure you're ending up in that top heap of search results. And if you are using canned content from your web host, I can guarantee you it is hurting you, not helping you. But when you do create a piece of content, or maybe you do have a little bit of help. And that is where with the smart chiropractor and also with the evidence based chiropractor, we provide our members with some formats and templates that they can use to get information and education out there and then they can fine tune it for themselves. But when that's the case, or if you like to write your own, fantastic. But I want to go through a little bit and we're going to use video for an example. If you take a small video, I want you to understand how you can use that video across multiple different platforms. So when you make that one piece of content, that video, you get the most use out of it. The thing I hate to see is chiropractors. You're busy out there. I'm busy too, believe me. And when you take the time to create a piece of content, you don't want to have to do it 80 times a day. That's just inefficient. We're all too busy for that. But you don't have to. But you need to be smart with how you go about setting yourself apart. Here's what I mean by that. If you film a video of yourself and you're going through, let's say, a little talk about research that's always near and dear to my heart. So let's say you're talking a little bit about how flexion distraction technique can help how chiropractic can help people with spinal stenosis live a better quality of life. That's a topic we touched on on the evidence based chiropractor podcast within the last couple weeks here. So if you do a short video of that, let's say it's two minutes long, here's what you can do. Let's say you do that on Facebook. You wanna be native to Facebook. So if you do that for a Facebook Live video, which I'd recommend, Facebook Live is going to get you the most people in your audience that actually sees it. So that is important. Do a Facebook Live video talking a little bit about how chiropractic care can help people with lumbar spinal stenosis. Then what you can do is you can download that video. There are plenty of programs that can rip video, so to speak, off of Facebook. So you can just type in into Google, download video from Facebook and you'll see some web results pop up that are free, where you just put in the address of that video and it will download it to your desktop. And now you have a nice little MP4, let's say a video of that video. You have a video file. Well, what you can do then is you can take that video, the same one, and upload it to your YouTube channel. So now it's native to YouTube. You're not linking from Facebook to YouTube. Facebook doesn't like that, which is why you did the Facebook Live video to start. You downloaded that Facebook Live video, you have that little file and you upload that file to YouTube. That's just what we talked through there. So now you've already got this. Now on two places, you have it on Facebook Live, you touch your audience there, inspired, enlightened them, and you have it on your YouTube channel. Fantastic. You don't need to end there. Then what you're able to do is go to your LinkedIn profile. With the LinkedIn profile, LinkedIn is very, very friendly to YouTube. So you can use your YouTube L and just set the video there. And in most LinkedIn accounts it actually autoplays. So as somebody scrolls through, the video begins playing and that gives you credit or views, which YouTube then says, we gotta show your video to more people on YouTube because all of these people are watching it. So it's a little tip or a little hack there, but here's where you can get really tactical you can then use a service like Trint T R I N T or Reverend R E V that you can upload your video. All of what we talked about is free. So far these two services cost a couple bucks, like I think a buck a minute. So it's pretty cheap. And you upload your video and they will transcribe it and give you back the whole text document of exactly what you said in your video. Well, guess what? Now you have a fantastic original blog post for your blog. How chiropractic care can help people with lumbar stenosis live a better quality of life. However you wanna word that title. You can then make a blog post for a couple bucks with what you've got from Trent or Rev. And guess what? I recommend you make that blog post, put it up on your website and halfway down stick the video itself in that blog post. Just embed that video. A link from the YouTube page again, that's a great way again to reinforce the message. It makes the content more dynam. People love it and Google loves it too when they see that there is not only picture but a nice title, a video and the text and it all is saying the same message. They say this is high quality content and that helps boost you locally for your search engine optimization. These are very, very important tactics. And what we just talked about got you on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and a new piece of content for your blog for maybe a couple bucks maximum. And all you had to do was shoot that single video. So absolutely be sure, make sure as you are building out your content library, as you are talking about health and wellness, as you're talking about your practice and how you've been able to help people. So take your hard work and make sure that you are making it work across multiple platforms. Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and one other that we didn't touch on your website. And one other take your title. We made up a fake title right there. We just said, you know, how chiropractic care can help you have a better quality of life. If you're suffering from stenosis. That's a little bit long of a title, but you get the point. You can take that, put that directly onto Twitter, just the title and link back to the blog post that has the video and the transcription you already have done that gets you touching five different channels. Your website, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Twitter, all for just a couple bucks. So I hope this was very valuable for you and get a better understanding of how you can utilize and increase your reach, help your Google search engine optimization and overall get your message out to more people.
