Hello and welcome to the Evidence Based Chiropractor. I AM your host, Dr. Jeff Langmaid. Each and every week we talk about the latest research and marketing and a lot of times it is focused on bridging the gap and building relationships with other healthcare providers in your community. Today we're gonna switch it up and talk a little bit about how you can reach out to your community, your audience directly, B2C to the people in your community and how social media fits into into that and some things you can do to make sure you're getting the best results possible. Before we get started, I want to say a few words about Rocktape Roc Tape is revolutionizing the soft tissue world again with new Rock Blades Mohawk. Rock Blades Mohawk unlock never before seen treatment protocols to reduce pain, improve mobility and address issues like nerve glide and neuropathy. I think all of us at this point know that social media, Facebook, LinkedIn, using our email, these are absolutely crucial tools to build our practice in the modern age. What I have heard time and time again from docs is just producing the content is tough. And believe me, I'm a content producer. You guys see I put out a ton of video, audio, text and it takes a ton of work. So I feel you. But I wanna break down some of what you can or should be doing, where the high impact is made and then talk through it a little bit to make sure that you have a crystal clear plan on how you can utilize social media to ultimately get out there at a higher level with your community. And I think first I'm gonna break it down even a little bit simpler than that. And that is I'm talking old school social media, meaning face to face. Number one thing that you can do is have handouts in your practice, have updated handouts. I mean we probably all remember it from when we were in school or when we were very young chiropractors, the old school trifold Brochures, now they look all dated and things like that, but there are new systems, new tools, new processes out there that provide some fantastic weekly handouts. Notice I said week. It's great to switch it up each and every week with your patients. Where we found a lot of success is having a monthly topic, right? Your monthly topic might be, you know, pregnancy, it might be neck pain, it might be low back pain, it might be sports, chiropractic. You know, you can have a monthly topic and then have each week tie into that overall arching monthly topic, right? So you can map out your topics. And then each week you have a handout that ties back, a new handout, different handout that ties back to that monthly topic. That's a huge win. Then what you can do is utilize a lot of that, that content to create a blog post. You can utilize that exactly as your blog post. So now you're getting content up on your website each and every week. Talk about great for SEO, search engine optimization, but now you're getting some of those keywords, right? These are important, important things. And when you tie it to a topic, you're speaking on a patient's level. This is where the magic happens. So it's not you preaching to the person, but you choose a nice topic like sports, chiropract, like neck pain, like low back pain, like pregnancy related care. And these are items that people in your community are dealing with or they have friends, loved ones, you know, colleagues, coworkers that are dealing with these things. So now you're speaking their language and you're putting it in the context of your practice, what you do and how you may be able to help. And this is where social media becomes powerful. Now we also recommend, and we've seen great success with multiple times a week, posting some high impact images. Again, tying to your monthly topic, right? Posting those images on your Facebook page, that is a huge, huge win. Now if you want to take that one step further, where the magic is really happening with social media, we all know, is video, right? Video is able to get to, you know, 10 to 20 times more individuals than just a picture or text alone. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't do the picture or the text at all. You need to do that. But mixing in and having a variety of content, including video, is absolutely clutch. We'll do a separate podcast episode specifically talking about recording video in the near future. But I just want to put that bug in your ear that if you've been shy about getting on camera, video is a really, really Important tool. It's one of the most powerful tools that you have to reach out to other people in your community. I was recently reached out to by a student who actually started a private Instagram page. And what she's is she's just getting her reps in, right? She's practicing doing it because she knows that like any skill practice makes, eh, maybe not perfect, but as close to perfect as any of us can be. So she's actually just been going through and talking each and every day getting comfortable with how that feels. So again, I like the process of tying this again back to a monthly topic because now you have a theme that everybody in your office can get behind and you probably already see what's going on here. Let's if we kind of recap some of these most important items. If we talk about weekly handouts, that's a physical, you know, it's an in person in office physical type marketing tool, outreach type tool. So that's important. We've all seen it work, we've all know about it, but it's always good to be reminded. Second to that we look towards our social media posts, right? We look towards our social media posts, getting out there on our Facebook page, on our LinkedIn pages, interacting with other people. Again, tying to a monthly topic, something that a lot of people are going to be dealing with. We can then utilize the same type of content to our blog. Your blog is what's going to hit Google. It's going to. What's going to the SEO is going to be what is the result you want search engine optimization. So you want to make sure that you're hitting keywords that people are searching. And when you have a nice monthly topic that you know people in your community are searching for the answers to, well now you start to make a pretty compelling case to Google that you're putting out consistently high quality content around that topic. It's gonna shoot you to the top. And if you support that then with video now you are over the top and you're doing a great job again getting your message out there, highlighting the research, the topics that are relevant to these individuals. Now this probably also sounds like it's a heck of a lot of work and I can understand that. So certainly there are a var of tool sets available to you out there if you do not know. I have teamed up and I actually run the Smart Chiropractor. T h e the smartchiropractor.com, where we provide all of these tools to chiropractors around the country specifically to communicate to their patients in their community. So please remember the evidence based chiropractor is all about that. B2B. It's all about communicating to other physicians. It is laser focused on that. But the smart chiropractor is laser focused are focused on the other side of the coin. And I have a bunch of docs that utilize both programs to great success. So with the smart chiropractor we provide all of these tools that I've currently gone through. If you want to be able to, if you have the bandwidth and you can produce that content, go for it. I want to lay out the playbook for you. Video, social media post, blog post in office handouts and yes, a reception area video that changes weekly is also fantastic. These are your crucial components to gaining traction online. Let me say that one more time at least. Weekly videos with you speaking weekly, blog posts multiple times per week, social media posts and making sure that you have weekly new and fresh handouts for your patients in your office as well. This gives you an online and an offline, right. You have your social media, you have your videos, but you also have those handouts in the office. It gives you online and offline marketing, which is where the gold is. That 360 approach is where the success is. And now if you can produce that, go for it. I've seen bunch of docs producing content at a very high level, but I know for a lot of you listening time is of the essence and having that done in a way that looks beautiful, that's evidence informed, that's research backed and supporting what you do is just a huge, huge win for your practice. And if that sounds like something that you need help with and that you would like to hop on board, head on over to thesmartchiropractor.com we provide that for you. All of that content. When I say all that content, videos that are actually done for you by me. We provide you the scripts for those videos if you wanna do them yourself. We provide you weekly blog posts, we provide you multiple time per week social media graphics, we provide you weekly handouts to use in your practice. And we provide you in office videos that change each and every week as well. So we give it all to you, so packaged, ready to go in a way that takes all of that content creation off your plate and you can focus on getting it out there to your community an easy way. We have ways to implement it and we have implementation checklists to make things super simple for you so there's no hiccups whatsoever, you can take the content, run with it, and continue to build your name in your brand, in your community. So again, if you want to go through it, I have a couple key points for you. Video, blog posts, social media, graphics and handouts are your core, core components of any outreach. And if you want to go with that, go for it. But if you need a little bit of extra help creating that content and you want it, quite frankly done probably better than you're able to do it.
