Hello and welcome to the Evidence Based Chiropractor. I AM your host, Dr. Jeff Langmaid. Happy Christmas Eve. Kwanzaa's coming up this week as well. I hope you have a fantastic week. We're gonna have some fun on the podcast today. We're gonna go through some of my favorite software tools. If you are a practice or a business owner, you know systems and processes can be challenging. But there are a plethora of really awesome pieces of software that can help automate your marketing, automate things in your practice, your life easier. I'm going to go through 12 of my favorites in pretty rapid succession today and additionally you can grab a download of this that link to all of these pieces of software@the evidencebasedchiropractor.com software, the evidence basedchiropractor.com software and you can grab a written explanation of these 12 tools. So if you have a couple extra bucks after the Christmas holiday and you're looking to make your office run smoother, these are going to be great tools for you. But before we get started, I will say a few words about Rock Tape. Rock Tape is revolutionizing the soft tissue world again with new rock blades Mohawk. Featuring three tools in one, a surgical stainless steel hand polished tool, two attachments that silicon sleeve and the ABS comb Mohawk unlock never before seen treatment protocols. It's 1/75 bucks. You can check it out and you can see all of their upcoming educational courses at Rocktape. So today we are going to go through my 12 favorite pieces of software. These are things that I utilize I rely on day in and day out. If you follow what I do at the Evidence Based Chiropractor, you know I put out a ton of content. LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, this podcast, my membership products, you name it. I'm putting out content as quickly and as frequently as I can in the highest quality possible as well. And my team consists of me and Paul, my videographer. So almost everything you see is coming down from me. But that would be exceptionally challenging, if not impossible if I didn't have the tools that we're gonna talk about today to help make it happen. So without further ado, let's dive into this toolset. Number one tool, and these are in no particular order, but number one tool on my list is Sumo S U M O Sumo basically allows you to build an email list, basically build your brand via your website. So if you go on somebody's website and something pops up and say, hey, do you want more information? You know, enter your email here and I'll deliver you X, Y, Z. That is a Sumo product. Within the Sumo family of products, there is a ton of stuff. Heat maps, where are people clicking on your website? Smart links, determining if somebody clicks somewhere. What's action are they likely to take next? Sumo is a very easy tool set to use, but there are a lot of stuff under their banner. I would really recommend if you have a website, you should check out what they have going on. And I use their software products all the time. There's also some really interesting and cool things. If you probably have been to cnn, you've seen this, you try to click out of the website and that's when the pop up, hey, don't leave. You know, do you want more information? Sumo makes those kind of tools. So if you have a website, you want to grow your email list and your audience, I'd highly encourage you to check out Sumo. And I believe it's Sumo.com, super easy. So go there and check it out. Second tool, Trint T R I N T it is AI powered transcription. Trent will take your audio and video and magically convert it to the text you can use for your blog. So basically you're able to take a piece of software like Trent. You can take a video that you shoot, you can take a podcast that you do. Really anything like that, you upload it into Trent. Super easy. You kind of drag and drop and it gives you a complete transcription word for word of what you said. So that makes things. You can see where this is going, right? You have a video that you do. You're like, I did a pretty good job. I like how I said that. You can upload it to Trent. Trent gives you the transcription. Now you have something that you can utilize on your blog. You have something you can utilize in your email. Trent is a lifesaver. Be sure to check that out. Now, once you have that transcription, you want to make sure that your grammar is well done, which is a bad, poor grammar right there. But Grammarly, G R A M M A R L Y Grammarly is a great tool for grammar and spell checking. So many of us speak differently than we write conversation for a different day. But many times when we speak we have these starts and stops. It's part of a natural conversation. But when you put that into a transcription. It's like, oh my gosh, I can't believe I speak like that. Grammarly will help you clean that up. And it's a very, very, very good tool. Nobody wants to put things out there with grammatical errors, with spelling errors. So Grammarly helps clean all of that up. Fantastic tool that I'd encourage you to check out. Mailchimp. If you are just getting started with email marketing, mailchimp's the way to go. Simple to use email marketing and automation. If you're new to this, mailchimp again is a great place to start. It's easy, easy, it's cheap. There's even a free version as you get started if you don't have very many contacts to get started. And it helps get your mind around in a very simple way. Automated emails, which probably people are cringing just hearing that. Oh my gosh, that sounds technical. It's not that technical to start. You can make it technical. But mailchimp is a fantastic place to get started with things like that. Next tool on my list is called Beacon B A C O N. Beacon is a great tool to create beautiful PDFs so they make it easy. You don't to be a wizard in terms of Photoshop or in terms of, you know, Apple pages to really make beautiful documents. Beacon is a fantastic tool to help you make PDFs, to help you make patient education tools. And it's really cool. So it's drag and drop. Beautiful images, great templates to get started. So definitely check that out. Now as you talk about images, Stencil is a tool that I use S T E N C I L Stencil is a tool that I use to make a lot of the social images that you see that come on the evidence based chiropractor Facebook page Stencil you can upload pictures or they have templates and then you can put text over it again without having to be that kind of Photoshop wizard. So Stencil is a great tool to make social media graphics. LeadPages is another lead generation tool quickly and simply Collect email addresses. LeadPage. LeadPages in Sumo have a little bit of overlap between the two. To be honest with you. I lean towards Sumo because they have so much more tools in their tool belt, so to speak. Under the, when you pay for, you know, a Sumo product, you get all of their software and there's just so much there that's very, very valuable. But leadpages is kind of the, the old player in this space. I have both. There's slightly different use cases and I'm, I'm happy to get technical on a follow up podcast if you want to email me. But LeadPages is a good tool that I still utilize. Now as we talk through all of this, it's like, how do these things communicate with each other? Quite frankly, some softwares don't. But that's where a Zapier comes in. Z, A P, I E, R. Zapier helps one program talk to another when they don't normally do so. So Zapier is like when somebody enters their email here, make sure that they get on my email list in this other software. So it connects softwares and it does it in a very visual way that's super, super easy to get started. So Zapier, if you have different programs, you're like, oh my God, none of this stuff talks to each other. Zapier is the tool you want to check out for sure. Um, as we continue down that path. You know, Squarespace is where I build all of my websites. So sometimes people ask, do you use Wix? Do you have custom builds? Do you use WordPress? WordPress is a fantastic platform, but for me Squarespace has just been the best. So Squarespace is where I built all of my websites. Whether it's drjefflangmaid.com, jefflangmaid.com, the evidence based chiropractor, chiro office coverage, Aomzi diagnostics, you name it, I've built it on Squarespace. I just love their architecture and there are a few high level limitations. If you are, you know, probably running a 15, 25 million dollars plus online business, you're going to end up with some coding challenges that you're going to have to get around. Long tail. But for many practicing docs, if you don't own your real estate, so to speak, and you want to online, Squarespace is an easy drag and drop place to get started as you. And we got a couple more left. Infusionsoft is what I now use for my email. We talked about mailchimp earlier. Mailchimp is a great place to started but infusionsoft opens up Pandora's box. It allows you to do so many more things. They don't call it FusionSoft, you know, on accident. So it is confusing if you're just getting started. But infusionsoft is a great, great tool. You know, I would not be able to run the evidence based chiropractor the way I do without it. So I love it, I rely on it, it's super flexible. But it is a little bit technical and our last two tools are just gonna be fun stuff. Squash, just as you'd imagine. S Q U H. Squash is a tool that allows you to squish down pictures. So sometimes when you have a picture, it can be like 5 megabytes or something like that, making up that number. But it could be, you know, five, ten megabytes. It's not good for load times. You start loading your pictures with, excuse me, your pictures of websites. Your website with pictures that are big. It slows it down and it pushes you down in Google rankings. So you want to make sure that your load time is fast and small. Pictures enable that. Squash makes a picture look exactly the same. It doesn't decrease the quality, but it does decrease the size. So if you're looking for speed, squash is a great tool. And finally, ECAMM Live E C A M M Live. It's a great tool to go live. So ECAMM allows you to go to YouTube, it allows you to go to Facebook and do kind of graphics like you're a television anchor, if you want to say. Probably a bad example, but you could put your logo on the screen. Things that you can't do, just going live on Facebook with their program. This enables you to have like a little stop point if you want to think between, you know, pressing Facebook Live and going live. Ecamm allows you to go through go live on Facebook, but it allows you to do some really cool things. You can have other people on. You can split screen. That way you can screen share. If you want to showcase things on your computer screen while still having your face up there, it allows you to do some really, really cool stuff. So these have been some of my favorite tools from 2017, 2018. We went fast and furious. Those were 12 tools, one dozen tools. I'd encourage you if you want to download this list. If you listen to this podcast, you made it this far, download the list. It'll make way easier. I have links to every piece of software as well, and you can check out a link to that in the show notes. But if you just want to go directly over the evidence basedChiroPractor.com software. Again, the evidence basedChiroPractor dot com software. I hope you have a great Christmas.
