In this concise coaching video, health and success coach Jennifer Dent outlines a three‑step framework for setting and achieving health‑related goals. First, she stresses the importance of getting crystal‑clear on what you want to accomplish—whether it’s weight loss, muscle gain, better sleep, or other wellness objectives—by using a specially designed worksheet from her “Stop Dieting Forever” accountability program. Second, she advises sharing that goal with a trusted person or community (a physician, friend, mastermind group, or private Facebook group) to create external accountability. Third, she recommends committing to at least one concrete, daily to‑do that moves the larger goal forward, illustrating the process with a weight‑loss example (researching local gyms). Throughout, Dent promotes her low‑cost ($5/month) online accountability group for women, which provides the worksheets, daily support, and a community of like‑minded members. She directs viewers to her websites (jenniferdenton.com and thefitmommy.com/loseweight) for enrollment and emphasizes that the system works for any health‑related or broader life goal.

Hi, Jennifer Dent, health and success coach here, and I want to talk to you today about goal setting for good health. I've got 3 points, and I'm going to go through them really quickly up front first in case you got to drop off, but grab your pen, grab your piece of paper. The first one that you want to do when you're goal setting for good health is to get clear on what you want to accomplish, right? The second one is tell the world what your goal is so you have someone to keep you accountable. And the third thing that you'll need to do is complete at least one to-do each day to help you reach your goal. Okay, so now I'm going to elaborate on these three. So goal setting for good health. The first thing I said is you have to get clear on what you want to accomplish. So you know that you have many different things that you want to accomplish. You want to lose weight, you want to build muscle, you want to get off of your diabetes medication, you want to sleep more, um, you want to learn to meditate. I don't know what your specific health goals are, but you may have more than one, but you need to get clear on what you want to accomplish. So, I actually created these wonderful worksheets that are part of my Stop Dieting Forever accountability group where you go through an activity and listing out all of the things, all the habits that you wanna master to make those positive changes in your life. So, the first thing you wanna do is get clear on what you want to accomplish. The second thing you wanna do is tell the world what you want to do and I'm Okay, literally I don't mean you need to tell the world, but you need to tell someone who's going to keep you accountable. So that could be your physician, that could be your best friend, it could be your prayer partner, it could be your mastermind group, it could be a Facebook group that you join, a per— a private Facebook group. But the thing is, don't keep it to yourself because otherwise no one's holding you accountable if you're not doing what you really hope you wanna do. The third thing that you need to do when you're goal setting for good health is to complete at least one, what I call, to-do, um, action that you're going to make each day to help you reach your goal. And so, with the worksheets that I've created, um, I walk you through the process of how to get to whatever those actions are. Um, it's real simple. You really have to drill down and think about it, but once you break it down into smaller chunks, so easy to accomplish. So one thing, um, say for instance your goal is that you want to lose weight, uh, you want to lose— let's say you want to lose 25 pounds. The first thing that you may have on your list is, well, I gotta join a gym. So maybe your first thing you're gonna do that day is to research gyms in your area that fit your schedule, and that's your one action item towards that bigger goal of losing the 25 pounds. Super simple, right? You can do that in one day. So whatever your specific goal is for your health, I have a way that helps you chunk down everything that you need to do in these oh-so pretty, lovely worksheets that I'm super proud of, um, to help you master that habit. So again, goal setting for good health: 1, get clear on what you want to accomplish. 2, 2, tell the world what your goal is, or at least one other person who's going to keep you accountable. And 3, complete one to-do each day to help you reach your goal. I am hosting, or pres— or hosting, yeah, an accountability group, an online accountability group.
