In this interview, Speaker A shares their experience before and after joining the Stop Dieting Forever (SDF) program. Prior to SDF, they felt stuck at their highest weight, emotionally frustrated, and had given up on weight loss. Through SDF they lost 28 pounds, have maintained that weight, and report heightened awareness of hunger cues, emotions, and thoughts, allowing them to slow down and process feelings. Crucially, the program is described as not a traditional diet; it lets participants eat whatever they want without adhering to a single eating plan, freeing them from restrictive regimes like paleo, primal, or keto. This flexibility not only made food more enjoyable but also contributed to weight loss. Speaker A also notes that the mindset and tools from SDF are now being applied to other areas of life, delivering broader personal results. Speaker B reinforces that SDF is distinct from diets and emphasizes the freedom of choice.

Before the Stop Dieting Forever process, physically I had reached the highest weight I had ever been and I was feeling very uncomfortable. Like, I was just okay with my body. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it either. It's just like, eh. And I kind of given up on like weight loss. I was just like, fuck it, I don't know that I'm gonna figure this out. And emotionally, I was feeling pretty frustrated and annoyed and bored, like on a regular, before the SDF process.
So with this process, I did lose weight.
I lost 28 pounds. I've also been able to maintain my weight. I I feel better in touch with like what my body needs when I actually feel hungry and paying attention to that. Um, I feel better in touch with my emotions, like recognizing what I'm feeling and being able to slow myself down and just have those feelings and recognizing my thoughts. Um, and this process also allows me to like focus on other parts of my life, so It helped me with my weight loss, but now I'm able to take this process and use it for other areas of my life so that I can get results in my life, and that's probably one of my favorite parts about it.
This process is different from a diet because, like, I get to pick what I want.
Like, I don't have to I don't have to stick with any one thing. I can eat what the fuck I want. And people keep asking me like, what diet were you on? What time?
Like, I wasn't on a diet.
I wasn't on a diet. Um, I could eat what I wanted, like whatever foods worked for me. And you know, something I had a problem with for so long is restricting my food. Because I was on, you know, I was paleo, primal, or keto, whatever it was. Like, I didn't have to just, you know, stick with any one thing. I could eat whatever. And when I let go of all that, you know, restricting myself and trying to stay in this box about what I should eat or shouldn't eat. Um, I enjoyed food more and I lost weight.
