218: We've Gone Over-Bored (Part 2) with Michael Karsouny (Listen at Your Own Risk!)
8 Dec 2025 · 39 min
Jenny Blake and Michael Karsouny riff on boredom, creativity, and whether to release an intentionally boring episode. They brainstorm show names like Be There Later and discuss Tim Ferriss, Ram Dass, and what privilege has to do with having time to be bored.

Welcome, guys. Welcome back to part two of the.
Boredom show, the Mike and Jenny Show. I feel that we shouldn't call it.
The Boredom show because if we call.
It the Boredom show, we're just perpetuating the state we don't want. But you know what? How much fun are we having right now?
Let's call it the Always Being Present show. Namaste.
Namaste.
Be Here now show.
Let's call it that. That's Ram Dass book. Why don't we call it Namas Go away.
Namas welcome. Namas stay with us.
Namas stay with us.
Namas don't go away.
There it is.
Namas stay. Namas go. Namasu Create. Okay, Namas create now.
Okay.
I interviewed East Forest on his last conversations with Ram Dass that he turned into an album. It's really a beautiful album. It's Ram Dass wisdom that he was speaking at. The last years of his last year of his life put to music. Props to East Forest. Shout out. And to Tim and Isabel, who set that up.
Let's call it West Prairie.
What?
Why East Forest. West Prairie.
No, no. He gets to keep East Forest.
Be Here Now. No, Be Here Later.
Be there.
Be There Later. Be Here now. Be There Later.
I like it.
Be There later is good for a.
Podcast because the Be There later show.
We'll Be There Later.
Yeah. And Be There later where we postpone our.
Responsibilities to be here now.
Oh.
That'S good.
Good, good, good.
Well, it could also be that Be There later is We're Here now recording this, and by the time you're listening, you'll be there later.
You'll be there later.
Exactly.
Dear audience.
Why do you always say dear audience?
Because it's a podcast.
A weird smirk on your face because it's a podcast.
So it's just funny.
You don't think you're really talking to them?
We are. We're talking to everyone.
Sure.
Yeah.
But it's. You're very funny when you talk about your audience.
It's just funny to have an audience, that's all.
Yeah. You're not used to it.
No, I'm not. Try me. In like a couple of years. Hey, audience.
Or be something in the lines of hey, audience.
Yeah.
Yeah. Allah. Guys, you guys still here?
Anyone? Anyone? Anyone out there?
Yeah. Be there later, please.
You wouldn't last long.
Okay, audience, be there later. Hope you'll be there. You know, because it means that we're building toward the future, right? Yeah.
How can you tolerate that? You can't.
That's why it should be called Be there.
That's our last conversation. I'm not even saying that judgmentally.
You know what the slogan could be? Be there later or not.
Yeah, that would be your slogan.
That would be your slogan of this show. Be there later or not.
Exactly. I'll let you know how I feel day of.
Right.
I'll release Spotcast if I feel like it. And I won't if I don't.
Yeah, published. Random slee.
Exactly. That's what we decided. If Michael had a newsletter, it would.
It would be published randomly.
Randomly.
Oh, man.
I'm not gonna make it in this world. Hey, Jenny, of course you are.
You're already making it. You're already making it.
All these rules and these systems and. Ugh.
Must be so exhausting for you. Remember from the Love Witch? I can't say I recommend that movie.
But she just don't watch it. It's not worth it.
You poor thing. You poor, poor thing.
Yeah. No, no, no. We're all doomed to live in the street.
No, we're not. Oh my gosh. I don't say things like that here. Excuse me.
Tad melodramatic guys, don't you think?
Hey, there was a very natural guys.
Although, guys and gals, Tad middle dramatic guys. No, no, no. Sorry.
That's the noise of the bouncing ball I'm sitting on.
Be there Later.
Be there Later.
Be.
Be here Later.
A show about bat tripping?
Yeah, that would be your show as well, not mine.
Or it's a different segment of the show. You know, it's like, be here, Be here, Be there later and Be here.
What? What was it?
Now everybody's gone.
You know, just unless we open it up for Comments as we're recording. Unless it's live and people are like, oh, my God, guys, that would be fun. Yeah. And then we can get comments from them.
That would be good.
They're like, come on, guys, move on, move on. Yeah, we can have a lot of trolls and then try to, like, not react.
That's my nightmare.
Try to play with them.
Ryder is sleeping behind us.
You know, we'll have trolls, but we'll also have fairies and friends and revolutionaries.
Wow.
And.
And.
Whole gamut of people. Do you feel that glimmer in the.
Sounds nice.
In the clouds?
Yeah, we're still talking about nothing.
Yeah. See, this is even better than Seinfeld.
That's the thing, I guess. Seinfeld.
What a format, guys.
No, about nothing. The funny thing is, I can't stand podcasts like this that just talk about nothing. Although I guess I'm coming around to Joe Rogan.
And that's the type of podcast that you listen to while just running errands.
Is it, though? How can. How can anyone stand this?
Like, how many people are lamping right now?
And, you know, look at. Look at how many hashtags there are about people being bored. Not everyone wants to. You know. Okay, we came to a point right now where we didn't want to improve in anything. Didn't you notice?
That's true.
It's like, oh, can I? Maybe I should read that book, or I should paint or I should do this. It's like, you know what? I don't want to do anything. So that's our audience right there. It's the type of people who feel exactly like they don't want to do anything.
So send this to your friend who's bored.
Bored af.
They're bored af. And in that case, if you're bored af, an episode like this will be entertaining.
We could call it the mumble show.
The ramble with a mumble rap.
I think we should call it Ramblin.
Ramblin.
Just rambling.
Rambling. What.
What.
What other names are there for rambling, digressing?
What if we call I digress.
I digress? I think when you say I digress, does it mean that you're checking yourself, digressing, or you are stopping yourself from digressing?
Yeah, I think you're stopping yourself because you're saying, alas, I digress. Back to the point.
What if. What if? Instead of alas, what if? It's thank God, I digress.
Wow. Okay. That's very passionate about digressions.
Yeah. So how can we make how can we make or either find the word or keep the digression positive?
Digressing is.
Like a record scratching to me.
Yeah, that's what DJs do.
You know.
Listen, someone has to send this to their most bored friend because it's the only person that's so bored they can enjoy this.
Yeah. Can you even publish this under Jenny Podcast, or shall we start a new one? And, and, and, and, and marketing test it and start like sending Facebook ads.
And like, that's where you really lost me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I'm gone.
But that's what I'm saying. That's the experiment. I'm, that's the, the driving into the sunset kind of experiment. But you can do it by just seeing where it goes, launching it somewhere.
I think you're right that, that kind of show, it's better live so that you can get real time input about where to. What nothingness to talk about next.
Yeah, but you want metrics. No, you want to be lost in space. You don't want someone telling you way to go. And you're like, okay, we're gonna focus on. Talk about the puppies. You know, let's talk about.
Well, I guess you're right that as soon as there's a live audience, that would change. Well, I mean, but then you're co creating something with whoever's.
Yeah.
Live right now. This is very egocentric because they're just fumbling around in our own brain, in our own home. And then. Then what? I don't know if I can release.
This to the channel, but isn't that like, I'm kind of the microcosm of how we are right now in the world?
We're lucky to be bored. We're privileged to be bored.
No, we shouldn't even mention that.
We are. But it's true.
No, I don't think it has anything to do with privilege.
Why not? Some people don't have the privilege to sit around at home and be bored. They're working, they're taking. They're putting their lives at risk.
That's true.
Yeah. So the only reason we're bored is we're out of gratitude.
Unless our job is actually to sit our asses down here and make that recording, you know?
Well, in a way it is.
My ass hurts right now, you know? Yeah. Think of.
I don't really say ass on the podcast.
And my mouth is dry.
My poor brain is.
Poor thing. Oh, my God. Podcasting is so hard.
And you gotta do it time and time again. Edit it and Publish it.
It's a job. I've been doing it every day and.
It doesn't pay respect. Horrible.
It pays in love.
It's like the art world. You know, you've got a glimmer of hope. I just published a podcast. If you want to publish a podcast, you should just do it because you don't give a shit who's going to listen to it and where it's going to go, or else it's just going to be. There are going to be metrics and there's going to be so many. It's like, it's like when you start posting on Instagram and then you're, like, staring at your profile all day and you're not hoping for your likes and just losing your mind.
Well, that's what you are doing, and that's what I was telling you. It's a path to suffering. Because as soon as you can't even.
Convince yourself to get yourself out of it. You know, that's the thing.
I think the only. Yeah, I just recently did an episode. Should you start a podcast? It has to be intrinsically rewarding. Like this.
It was very.
This is alleviating our boredom.
Right?
So it's intrinsically valuable even if no one listens.
Okay.
Now, my hope is that I'm not driving people away from the podcast for.
Good, because I don't think you should publish it on the podcast.
What if I do, though?
Maybe you can put in a snippet in there so they're like, hey, by the way, we're, like, really losing our minds. We're losing our minds here, and we're just experimenting with something. And here's a snippet of it. You like it? Here's like, 15 minutes. You like it? Great. Join us. It's, like, infinitely boring. It's just us rambling about anything.
What if I call the episode infinitely boring and then I say, don't say we didn't warn you.
Your perceptions of Jenny will change.
Oh, my gosh. Yeah. You might be so offended.
Who the hell is this?
Release this drivel to the podcast. Who's this dumb moment? Exactly.
Who's this expert I've been, I've been pledging my allegiance to? Or not. Or not. Or spying on for.
No, please, no. Don't even say that. That's not nice.
No, there's no competition in the.
What? Spying on? Oh, as if, If a competitor is listening.
Oh, yeah.
I don't believe in competitors.
You don't?
No.
It doesn't make, you know, I, I, I Believe in Santa Claus still, but no, you don't.
You almost broke the news to a little kid when we were in a restaurant.
Santa Claus is a character that created.
It's not your place.
Early 1900s, when the ad guys came on Madison. Well, nonetheless pushed Coca Cola.
It was between her and her parents, not you.
So listen. I'm going to call this infinitely boring. Don't click or listen. Listen at your own risk.
Your ears will be bleeding.
Offended.
Offended? Yeah. I think somebody offensive for the ears.
I think someone would question my judgment after.
Oh, my God. I'm telling you, you won't be an expert anymore. You'll be a dabbler.
Oh, no.
Yeah, sorry, Timmy.
Oh, no, Timmy. Why? Timmy's not a dabbler.
We deceived you. No.
What do you mean?
We disappointed you? Timmy. We're no longer experts because we're experimenting with the format.
I don't think it's Tim.
I didn't read this one book about how to podcast and. And figure it out.
Because you don't want to.
No, because it's the gospel according to Timmy and I respect Timmy. Tim Ferriss. Mr. Timothy Farris.
It's said with love. Just so you know. It's not meant to be insulting.
Me and Jenny practically got married because of our love for Tim Ferriss. That's true.
Yeah, that's true.
It's like 8020 the reason, right?
Good job.
We love Tim Ferris. I don't want to disappoint you.
We do.
I want to make that those four hours and no more.
We were at south by Southwest. Michael. We had just. We weren't together that long, not even a year. And we got. We stood in a line to meet Tim Ferriss to get our book signed. And the photo of Michael and Tim Ferriss. Maybe it will go in the show.
My heart was melting.
He was so in love. I've never seen such a loving gaze.
I was on a love trip between.
Michael and Tim, like 10x. How you would look at me at that time.
Because I look at you so much, you know? Well, I get it.
I get it. Listen. I would look at Tim the same way.
So cute.
We do love him. We really love him.
So cute and smart and brilliant and innovative. Innovative.
Helpful. Straight up helpful.
So many.
Whether it's as something as simple as the cereal. So many life hacks. So many things. I'll say. I heard about this.
Dreamt for like six months because of his. For our body.
Now we're going to insult him by having him be on this boredom Podcast.
Can you imagine if he ends up here?
No, I don't think he will. No. But please know how much we respect you. We talked about Tim Ferriss's books to us are, like, practically biblical. Like we would say book one, book one, chapter, verse seven. Book one, chapter four, verse seven. Pareto principle.
Right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, thank you, Tim Ferriss.
Thank you, Timmy.
Thanks. In fact, a large part of the reason I started listening to podcasts in I think it was 2015, I first listened to an astrology podcast.
Timmy convinced, and then Tim Ferriss. Sorry, sorry.
Yeah, it's okay.
Timmy convinced Jenny to take acid.
No, he didn't.
No, no, I'm asking, I'm asking. I'm like, timmy, Timmy.
Oh, no, no.
I think he's doing all this research for you.
I think if you call him Timmy, he's not going to respond.
Man. I'm pretty sure people call him so many other things.
Well, that's a clear no for me.
Maybe it's because you've got your satori without acid before.
Yeah. Oh, samadhi.
Samadhi?
Yeah.
Isn't satori and samadhi?
I don't know what satori is.
Bella satori is to reach enlightenment.
It is.
Yeah. Let's see, let's see.
This is why we need a producer that they look up stuff. Oh, sudden enlightenment. Wow.
And what's samadhi?
Let's find out. A state of intense concentration achieved through meditation. In Hindu yoga, this is regarded as the final stage at which union with the divine is reached before or at death.
Satori, Samadhi. Okay. What other words do we know in the same vein?
Moksha is a good one. Yeah. Let's look. I'm really not good. No, I'm really not good at remembering. No, I think it's with a K. Moksha. Moksha with a K. Released from the cycle of rebirth, impelled by the law of karma.
Same, same.
The transcendent state attained as a result of being released from the cycle of rebirth.
Look, it's me over here.
Yeah. This bearded man with a man bun. Photo image. There you are, blissed out, chilling.
And this is you publishing the podcast.
This is you building a fire. You're like, michael's blissed out in this photo.
Yeah.
Google a photo called moksha and the Supreme Being. And you're gonna see Michael blissed out in a lotus pose. And then I'm in the back building a fire. Working.
Yeah. You know, maybe you're building the alchemical furnace. The alchemical furnace, you know? Yeah, that's where all transformation happens.
Well, then there you go.
Clearly, there's something exciting around.
There's like a little neck. There's a little thread.
Or from the divine.
From the divine. Like, Jenny, come here. Come take acid with. You're like, no, no.
It's a clear no for me.
Like, no. I want to be in this eerie temple trying to build a fire. It brings me joy.
Is that making fun of me?
I don't know. Okay, maybe a little.
What's next?
That's a question that you all have asked yourself before downloading Chadi's podcast.
Oh, yeah, makes sense.
But now. You know what? Maybe that can be the intro. It's like, what? What's next? That's a question you've all asked before downloading Jelly Blake's vivid podcast.
Jelly Blake.
Jelly Blake. But you heard. You said it. I didn't.
Yes, you did.
No, I don't know. I didn't hear it that way. But now you're not there anymore, because this podcast doesn't ask, what's next? It prompts you to be here now.
Well, if you want to know, in the afterword to the paperback edition of Pivot, I quote my friend Mitch, Joel, shout out Mitch as saying, maybe we shouldn't be asking what's next, but what's now. It's already in the Pivot paperback.
Boom, boom, boom.
So in a way, Mitch is asking that.
Mitch, high five.
High five. I'm going to have Mitch on the show.
Really?
Yeah.
Oh, cool.
Coming up. Coming right up.
And you're going to have another Mitch on the show at some.
Oh, yeah.
Undetermined time. Our neighbor Mitch.
Maybe Ryder's sleeping behind.
Ryder is so bored.
In a very cute position.
Maybe we should bring him over and have him, like, say a couple of words.
Yeah. Isn't it funny? He did earlier, he was barking. Isn't it funny when a dog is very bored? We look at him, we go, oh, no, you're so bored. What can we do? And then we're solving the problem. But then who's doing that for us?
We're solving our own problem.
I know, I know. But wouldn't it be nice if someone looked at you and they're like, you're so bored. Oh, no.
We aren't even solving the problem for Ryder.
Well, he's sleeping right now.
No. Out of boredom.
No, I swear. He went like, oh, he's rest.
What are these guys saying? I don't understand human language.
Yeah, I wish dogs could talk. It'd be so fun to understand what they're saying it would be so fun.
I think there's a meme about that.
Oh, he's kicking the painting.
He weighs 85 pounds now.
He does.
And he's not even seven months old. We have a big boy.
Big boy.
Big boy. Ripped through my fingers today.
Well, can't put your fingers in his mouth.
That's true. You know, this should. This can definitely be more interesting than some. Some channels on Twitch where people are just playing video games and other people are watching them, for instance.
Well, at least then there's something visual happening.
You know what we should do? We should probably send this to like a video editor and tell him to just fill in with some like, stock photography and stuff. That would be hilarious. Don't you think it'd be hilarious?
That could be your project. Why?
Let's say I say right now. I say universe. The universe. And then he just like plugs in a zoom in of the stock photo of the universe. And then. And then a guy with the beard meditating. Is a guy in the beard meditating.
I have to say, the Joe Rogan episode we saw with Theo Vaughn. Is that his name? He was so funny. But they did a good job of interspersing clips and websites.
Yeah, I was impressed because they're discussing something and then as they do, like the.
It's very profesh. But the thing is, I have thought about, oh, should I video record? And when I'm a guest on a video podcast, I just. I can't stand it. And then if I. No, I would not do that. But if I knew every time to do a podcast I had to be on video, I just wouldn't do it anymore. I wouldn't do it.
Right.
I thought about that.
Who wants to stare at my face for an hour or two hours? It's so boring.
You'd be surprised.
Just seems so boring.
That's how you get to know someone.
I don't know.
There's the micro expression.
I don't think it's a format that is really meant for video, honestly. Yeah, which is what I like about it. It's what keeps me doing it.
That it's not conducive to video.
Yeah, I love that. It's.
It's like, who's gonna sit on top of, like, listening to this?
Oh, my God.
Who's gonna actually sit and watch you just not do anything?
Just sit there staring at your face, talking head. God, it sounds so horrible. Honestly. And I understand that YouTube is one of the biggest search engines, so we release audiograms of the podcast to YouTube. Not that anyone watches those, because, again, why would you watch it? But, yeah, I don't want. When I listen to podcasts, I'm never sitting in one place. I'm always walking or I'm laying in bed.
I don't listen to podcasts.
Making coffee.
I don't. Yeah, I only listen to audiobooks and lectures.
I wonder why that is so boring.
I mean, can you imagine someone listening to us right now and getting entertained?
Shame on you.
Oh, no.
Don't you dare.
I'm cutting that out.
Keep it, Keep it. Keep it. No, crack open a book or something or listen to an audiobook.
That's so rude. That's so rude. Excuse me.
You know what it is? It's my inner parent. It's like my super ego just coming in dictator and hacking into this conversation being like, shame on you guys.
Oh, my God.
What are you doing? Go learn. Go crack open a book. Go learn something. You know what? Someone's like, dear listener, you know yourself. You know who. What do they say.
When they say, like, you recognize yourself? Was it.
You're going to let somebody listen this far in.
Dear listener, you know who I'm talking to? You know who I'm talking to. You've been sitting on your ass not doing anything for a very long time, and it's time that you walk to that book that you've been wanting to read for a very long time and just read a paragraph. That's all. That's all I have to say. No, I've been reading every day.
Okay, but how are you going to judge anyone if they're listening to this? Why are we creating it if you're gonna judge them halfway into the episode? That's terrible.
I'm just saying my. My super ego just came in and there are no rules on this podcast. I can say whatever I want.
Really?
Yeah. Yeah.
No.
And then what? Didn't you know that our egos are actually just taken over by all of these archetypes and forces and impulses?
Sure.
And it's just.
We are just.
Our ego is just a facade for all these forces. So if I said something like that, it's okay.
Well, you said there are no rules, and that's not true. I have rules about respect.
For what?
Dear listeners, I'm not disrespecting. I never say something accusatory or low vibration.
That's why I said, you know who I'm talking to? Because this is. This is our, you know, our last straw. This is our last straw. Just recording Something like that. This is our last straw. But imagine if someone practically been on Reddit for the past month, maybe he wants to listen to this.
Right? And if you. And if he or she does, then you can't say shame on you for listening to this. That's like inherent in creating it. That's not nice.
Listener, Listener. If you, if you listen to that and the. Shame on you.
No, no, no, let me finish, let me finish. If you heard me saying shame on you and you really felt targeted, it means you have a problem.
No.
Go crack open.
You're a jerk.
A Brene Brown.
No.
Or Breen, as you call it, a Brown. Or. Or listen to. Listen to Jenny's other episodes. Yeah.
Listen. If you're triggered by that and you thought, who's this jerk hijacking the high vibration podcast of kindness and love? Then. Then you're. You, Michael, are going to get ejected from the system. It's not their problem.
I don't think so.
And you know what? I'm just channeling here.
A message that, you know, some people are going to receive and some people are going to just gonna.
That's true.
Maybe some laugh.
Some will laugh and they'll say, ahah. We all have that voice, that inner voice.
How dare you just gonna say, what are you talking about? I've been so productive and this is the best break for me. Shame on me. Shame on you.
Shame on you.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right.
So that's what we're saying.
Decide for yourself.
Yeah, yeah. If you feel targeted, you have a problem. You don't feel targeted. Great.
Keep.
Keep on keeping on, my friend.
Horrible. I just waited.
Dear user.
User. No, you don't use that one.
Okay, so you know what? I am, I am into that. I'm into not using the term user.
Me too.
Yes, yes, yes, dear.
It's so funny to say I'm not into using the term user exactly, but. Dear listener.
Listener, Dear friend, dear auditory companion.
That's a good one.
Dear auditory companions.
Welcome to the experimental high vibration.
Version of the Pivot Podcast. The Pivot Podcast.
Yes. How it's said in French.
The be here now. Not later. Be there later or Be here now. And now. Now. Now.
Right now. Right now.
Be here now.
Right now. Now. Now. Now. How about now?
Yeah.
Now.
Yeah.
Okay.
And then. And then it has to have a show that's called Be here Later or Be There Later.
Yeah.
Or something similar.
I think that's the name of the series.
Dear listeners, chime in, Send us comments about what you think the name should Be. Look at that engagement. Look at that engagement. Engaging all the listeners out there.
Oh. See, this episode has to go with where we started.
Leave 10 comments at a time so that we go through the ranks of. Right. Podcast classification.
Huh?
That's not how it works.
I don't know. I don't pay attention to that.
Download this 90 times, every single one of you.
Oh, no, I don't do things like that.
You don't do that.
I wouldn't game the system like that.
What is a system anyways?
Exactly.
Exactly.
So I say download this episode on every single one of your devices and go to all of your family members and friends. Download it on the. On it on there. So they're like, what are you doing, man?
I'd rather know exactly how many people are actually listening than somehow try to game the system for, you know, what optics.
You're right. You're right. And this was all a joke. It was really.
Yeah, I know.
I don't know anything about that kind of stuff.
Right. But some people would.
Or do I. Oh, do I should ramit.
You know? No, RAMIT really knows how to. How to. How to get you going.
Amplify, build, launch. Amplify.
Yes. RAMIT actually helped me a lot with.
Zero to launch, with deep work. Actually the most.
Shout out to Cal. Cal also brought us together in the early days.
That's true.
Because Michael saw a Cal Newport book on my bookshelf.
Yes.
I had just interviewed him for the podcast. Michael said, wow, cool. And then I thought, how cool this guy knows who Cal Newport is. That was a good.
Yeah.
Test.
That was nice. Yeah, that was nice. We had a lot of books in common.
Yeah.
Yeah. That's how you know that you know someone, you know.
That's true.
Yeah. It's like, oh, okay.
Or you just not, you know something. You don't have a lot to talk about.
Right, Right. But at least you're on the same footing. Yeah. It's like I literally went through your Facebook account and looked at your interests.
What, by the books?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, my God. This is what Facebook does then? Brings people together like that. Well, yeah, yeah.
So and so. Also liked.
Right.
But now it's paid, now it's sponsored. So it's like people who like Ramit or like Tim Ferriss. Now I'll run an ad on their community, which I think is.
Watch out, guys.
Bs. No.
Watch out.
Not gonna do it.
We have to try this, though.
I don't want to.
It's just bringing more people to your community.
You know, I understand, but, you know, talk about being outside the system.
How many?
I want to transcend time, space, and marketing boundaries.
Sure, sure. But how many. How many products have you bought off Instagram just because you saw the ad and you're like, this is perfect for me?
Actually, one.
Okay. I've bought more.
A nail thingy for the dog and the stupid moon pod.
That effing moonpod that we use all the time.
I know, but it's so ugly. It's so much ugly.
It's actually good targeting.
So much uglier.
There's some ads that I want to see that kind of solve my problem.
You know, that's what Stephanie gave me, that perspective that she tries to get retargeted by ads around the Internet so she can get discounts.
I give them feedback, so they're gonna hound me anyways. Might as well hound me better.
That's what her philosophy is.
Yeah.
It feels good to see relevant things that you want to buy and get a discount, right?
You're gonna probe me. Probe me. Right, baby?
Oh, my goodness.
That one.
Oh, my God.
Wrote me how I like it.
Oh, my gosh. We're really off the rails now.
You like broccoli?
I feel a sense of dread because I feel in real time myself converging with the podcasts that I listen to of conversations that turned me off so much, you know, have you ever gone to go listen to a podcast and there's such. Just two people.
Like our show, the Household Ramble.
Yeah. I can't believe I'm participating in that. In a way, I mean, I'm grateful and I'm present. I'm being here now. See, not just seeing you there later.
You know what?
But I like how it's hard to.
I don't know. I think it's very self indulgent.
Listen, we sit and talk everywhere anyway.
Yeah.
Might as well record it.
Might we as well.
But.
Or not. Maybe it's better not to be recorded.
Why?
Because. Why? Because it's what, you know, what is it in service of, is what I'm saying.
Who cares?
Boredom, I think. Again, you have to be so bored.
Yeah. And so self indulgent.
And I will say I do.
We don't even eat the right ice cream.
You know, the upside is that I do enjoy doing something different.
Did you hear that?
What? We don't eat the right ice cream.
Yeah. Like we don't. Are we self indulgent? Really?
No. Because dairy free.
Dairy free. Everything free. Eat broccoli all day. Might as well Just record this thing.
You don't. You ordered a barbecue chicken pizza last night.
Because that was the last straw.
It was. You ordered before that as well. And the day before that.
Thick data on how we sleep and how we snore and how many steps we take, and I might as well.
Just give ourselves a break again. The rebel.
The rebel from something. Rebelling for a reason.
You know?
Yeah, Yeah. I like rebelling from the usual format. That's the one thing I'll say. I would never have an entire podcast like this.
Yeah.
But it is fun to switch it up. Look. Yeah, Look. Yeah.
Yeah. This gives me a reason to step into your office and just chill with you a little bit more.
That's true.
Yeah.
How sweet.
That's true.
That's very nice.
Maybe we should do a podcast about painting where you just step into my studio and then just paint and talk to you.
Okay.
Yeah. That could be our next episode.
Okay.
Yeah, Great.
And we can. We can record one while walking Ryder.
I did one the other day. I was on a Ryder walk. I wasn't walking, but yeah, we can do that. It was the Sky's the Limit, the one called I don't know, and people said they really liked it.
And one as I'm like, riding on a Harley and you're sitting behind me.
Wow.
Riding into the sunset, recording the conversation.
Don't know about that one. I mean. Yes. And.
One that views memes like PewDiePie. I love PewDiePie.
Well, yes.
I wonder.
Most popular YouTube following for a reason.
Yeah, they call them the nine year olds, but none of them are nine year old. Nine years old.
Is this my audio? That's so far away.
DrVMR.
Listen, you keep moving the mic closer to you.
If you. If you watch or like PewDiePie, tell us how come. Let's have this discussion.
You say, dear listener. It still has this discomfort.
There's no discomfort. It's. It's like a. It's a. It's a.
You always have to put on a different voice. You're not absolutely.
Dear listener.
No, that's not. Yours as well.
Okay, guys.
There you go. But they're not all guys.
But guys is an umbrella.
Well, not anymore. We're in the 2000s now.
What is it? It. What is it? What's the term now?
Peeps?
I'd rather say guys than peeps. All right, listener.
Hey. At least that's gender neutral.
Okay, Girls.
No, no, no.
No girls talking to you, Tom.
That's not Dom.
Are you listening? If I said girls to everyone. Wouldn't it bother you? Would it bother you? Isn't the same thing as, like, saying guys to everyone?
Oh, no, no.
Okay, girls. No girls.
We don't even like the word girl.
Okay, women.
No.
If any one of you listens, no.
Women is with an X anyway.
X and a Y and a J. Women.
Poor society, man. No, poor society.
Listen, it needs to evolve. You got to evolve with the time.
That's what we're doing.
Gotta get woke.
Woke. We're awake. How much awake?
Woke. But on your terms. When someone, like, brings in a theory about something that doesn't go well, doesn't sit well with you, and your universe is threatened, your world is threatened, and doesn't want to be enlarged by another perspective, you get very defensive. Not you.
One could be happening to you. Yeah, one to one to one. One.
I don't mind. I don't mind using these pronouns and not using them.
But you don't mind.
I don't mind, but. No, no. But sometimes I feel that the reaction is way too harsher.
Oh, yeah. It doesn't really bring people in. It kind of alienates sometimes.
Yeah. To be scolded.
Yeah. Well, you scolded our dear listeners halfway into the episode. That's why we had to talk about that.
Sure. And they don't take it seriously as I don't.
But no, I'm all for it. I'm really all for it. And.
Yeah, I get it.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right. I think it's time for a glass of water.
Time for episode three.
We're binging episodes right now. Binge recording.
Binge recording.
Yeah. Okay.
Oh, okay. All right. Over and out. Be there later.
But look, it's only 38 minutes. The first episode was an hour.
That's really long. That's a good show.
Good show.
Yeah.
Stop it.
Okay.
Get some water and coffee. We'll do episode three soon. Not soon. In five minutes. We'll be back.
