Let's go.
All right, all right, all right. Welcome guys to the Habit based Lifestyle Podcast. I'm your host, Jesse Ule. And today we got a very special guest, Mr. Tim Holloway, who has been a great friend and we are at episode, I think 5:46 or 5:47. Tim has actually been with me for all of those episodes and he's been helping with the habit based lifestyle podcast. Tim is also the creator of the money making show where he helps business owners launch, scale and build their own podcast. So, Tim, I want to welcome you to the show.
Thank you, brother. Thank you, brother. I appreciate that, man. Thank you for the opportunity.
So I love hearing the stories because, you know, it really pushes me. It pushes me to elevate, you know, myself and where I'm at. And also like, you know, I think it's easy, man, when we get down, you know, if we're not making the money we want, but it's like if we can either focus on that or we can focus on the people we want to help. But I think also is we got to be real with ourselves and say, hey man, what are the skills that I need to be able to do this? And I think what's cool, man, is, you know, even though you're doing podcasting, even though you understand a lot of these things, you've kind of submitted and said, well, I, I know a lot of these other things, but what I don't know fully is or have in place is that marketing system. So what has that done for you since you've been able to implement that into your business?
My wife can answer this one. Very good. You know, the confidence increases the identity of a closer. What that does to, to your mindset into your confidence? Like, it's like, who? Yeah, I'm a closer. Like, and then your Wife goes, you're a closer. Like, so just that alone is amazing. But then the, the getting back up on my feet and feeling victorious once again. What that does to my mental state is, is, is pretty awesome. And then getting out of that funk of stuckness, which probably correlates to a lot of the stress that I was having. I couldn't sleep. My sleep was terrible and the stre. And man, I sleep like a baby.
Nice. That's awesome, man. So what, what has been, you know, maybe an unexpected result of coming into the program, seeing it on the outside and then once you get in, what's something that's been unexpected that you've gotten out of this?
Unexpected? I, you know, I probably didn't have high expectations to begin with. It's probably because my track record over the past, you know, nine months wasn't very good. So, you know, I came into there with probably little expectation that has to do with myself and my ability and my confidence and stuff. So when, I guess when it started working and then, you know, we started closing people, I can't say that I was expecting for it to work. And that's not on you, it's just on me because, man, I just wasn't in a, in a, in a good spot that in just like what I systematically told you of those things that I was missing. I, Well, I didn't know I was missing them or I didn't know what I was missing. I didn't know, like each, each part of your program covered a part that I was missing and got me more confident, equipped in that area. So that was key. And I think the last thing that the focus on skill set because, man, I've been inundated with mindset stuff and like, as far as my spiritual life, like, I feel connected. I have a sense of mission and purpose and all that stuff. Like what I was lacking was a skill set and that is like a systematic way of doing things that gets like predictable results. And so I don't, I don't know if I was actually expecting to, for it to work and for that system to kind of flush out, I guess.
Yeah. I had a client one time come into our program that had been in several others and I said, hey, what was an unexpected result? And they go results.
And I'm like, well, I've been, I've been copying you for years, man, because yeah, I've seen the success that you have. And so I've been mirroring my strategy after the front side, you know, and what's crazy about this Is like, you think the front side is the thing of, of what you see, and if you mimic that, then you're going to have the same results. But I was missing all the stuff on the backside.
And I mean, that is kind of what we see though, right? Is like, that's the Ferrari syndrome, is we see the Ferrari and we're like, well, maybe if I just act like the guy with the Ferrari. Yeah. Eventually have a Ferrari. But we don't ask like, hey, what do you actually. What did you do to get the Ferrari? Right.
Yeah.
And so I think a lot of times people, you know, they want the result, but they don't want the habits or, or the skills that got them there. And so we end up asking maybe the wrong questions or we don't ask the right questions, and then we think, oh, this dude just got the Ferrari. By posting content.
Yeah.
And that's like, hey, that's actually the easiest thing. It's these other key things behind it that you don't see is a differentiator. And I always tell people, like, look, you can copy our content, you can copy what you see us doing, but you're going to be missing several key things on the back end that you're not going to see. And that's going to be the difference between you making money or not making money.
That is. Yeah, that's what I found out too, because, like, so on the outside, I can pick up on things. I'm pretty smart. I can tell how people are doing things. So I've watched you for years do things and kind of modeled some of the things after. But so 25% of the pie is that kind of social media strategy. But then you have to have a good offer and then you have to have the DM strategy to book goals. And it's not what people think. Whatever you intuitively think works. That doesn't work. And then going into sales calls and closing, like you need the whole enchilada. And so, yeah, I was, I was living off a one piece of pizza for, for years. So.
Yeah, that's good, man. Well, hey, tell me a little bit about. You've obviously been in a lot of coaching programs. Tell me, like, what's different about the coaching that you get in here versus maybe a lot of other programs you've been in? You know, you don't have to mention any names, but like the coaching you've received outside of that.
Yeah. So first thought is like, hoorah, motivation type stuff. And you know, I get it. It's supposed to like wake up a sleeping giant or to kind of like shake you into, to like initiation and starting life. So, so I get that. But if you stay at like, initiation phase, and that's what I feel like a lot of these programs, they're just had like the initiation of like waking you up, and I'm like, I'm already awake. I've been awake for six years. Like, you know what I mean? So it's like we just circle around of these wake up, sort of like shock you into back to life programs. And so, yeah, I've been into a lot of those programs and, and I never got any results because the, it's crazy. Like they. All they show you is the maybe the why behind things, but never, never the how to. And so what I say I was missing, the skill set is having a skill set to have operational habits that produce results. It's like nobody's, nobody's really given those. It's all just surface level stuff that it doesn't really produce change for people who are already initiated and alive.
Yeah, I mean, I think of it as, you know, you're. You're a big guy of faith, right? It's like, hey, it's like getting baptized.
Yeah.
Is the what and the why, but the how is actually like walking it out, right?
Yeah, yeah, that's a good analogy.
And, and a lot of times I think that's what people are missing as they get baptized, you know, in the what and the why. But there's no actual tactical way of walking that out. And so they get lost on the journey. Where I feel like our program really excels is we, we excel in walking it out.
Right.
Making it tangible. It's like, hey, what's, what's the system of habits? What's the skills I need to actually implement this and get a predictable result?
And I would say amen to that because that's exactly what it does. Yeah, bro.
So, like, one thing that you consistently talk about, his faith, you know, spirituality, those things, not the woo woo stuff, but yeah, talk about how you've integrated that into your business. Because I think a lot of times entrepreneurs try to separate them instead of bringing them together and adding that power to your business. So talk a little bit about that for a second.
You know, I'm motivated by, by the kingdom of God. And I do believe that his kingdom will come. And I've pledged allegiance to him and his coming kingdom. So that's the kind of my statement of faith there. You know, I felt out of whack inside of My profile and my Persona when I shift away from, from my faith and I'm like, this just doesn't feel like me. And so then I went back to like who I am as a person. And man, if I want to say something about the kingdom of God, I'll say something about the kingdom of God. And funny thing is it started to attract those kind of high minded people inside of the kingdom and it actually produced a greater attraction to me as a person. So you know, I think that has to do with just being who you are and being authentic. And since I'm a man of faith, I bring that into and it, and it works for me because that's who I am. Now if I wasn't that person and I was portraying that then, then it would, it wouldn't work for me. But yeah, I found alignment inside of social media and yeah, bringing the kingdom of God into business. Like I try to try to make God myself as much as possible.
And you know what I've seen is, I mean I know probably a half dozen of your clients. I know these six at least these six guys. I know there's more, but I know for sure these six guys are all you. Speaking that message attracts all of them. Right? And it's not so much they have to be that way. It's more of like, can I be this way in my marketing? And I think sometimes as entrepreneurs we think we need to separate those things. But you know, really it comes down to like, hey, can you be all of you in your marketing or is it just part of you because people are attracted to all of you even if they don't agree with you. I think people are attracted to all of you, more than half of you. And, and so in that you've been able to get more of your ideal clients because you're able to be more of who you are.
Yeah, that's exactly what it is. And I, and I tried the, the shift of well, I just need to be a business minded person that talks about money. And then like I said, it just didn't feel right. And then social media was more of a task and a burden and it just because I wasn't speaking my message or my true self. So man, yeah, I throw the, I throw the faith in there whenever I can. And I was honestly inspired by you, Jesse, because you know, I shifted to the, to the more business mindset, thinking that's what I had to be. And then I started feeling this weird thing and then you did a post something about faith in the kingdom of God. And. And then I seen some, like, baptismal stuff that you went through, and I'm like, yeah, so Jesse doesn't, like, shut off half who. Who he is, and, like, why should I do that?
Yeah, no, that's good, man. And, you know, sometimes I got to be reminded of that, too, is, you know, we can go too hard in what we think people want instead of going hard in what we believe. Right. And. And I think people want more of what we believe in, not necessarily the other side. Right. And. And that's, you know, that's good for me to hear you say, because I got to remind myself of the same thing. Hey, man, it's not always about business. It is about business, but, you know, it's about God's business as much as it is about the other business and prosperity and all those things run, you know, through the kingdom. And so we want to make sure we magnify that.
They do. Yeah. Yeah. You know, the greatest way to be free is free in all areas, and that includes financial freedom. I'm not there yet, but, you know, I feel I'm on the journey there. And, you know, the best way to tell the man to go pound sand is to be wealthy.
All right, man. So, like, maybe there's somebody listening to this that wants to. Or has thought about, you know, launching a podcast or doing something with it. Like, how would they get in contact with you if they. If they wanted to do that?
So go check out the moneymakingshow.com man. We've helped, I would say, at least 200 entrepreneurs, everybody on our page there. I think there's like 50. I just got tired of putting people there. But go to moneymakershow.com and see our testimonials. See all the people that we. That we work with. See our intro music. Like, it's amazing. So then check us out on Facebook. Tim Holloway. And I'm easy to find. I'm the guy with the. With the big green banner that says money making show. That's me. And I'd love to connect with you.
Awesome, man. And if you guys are listening to this, check the show notes. We'll give you a direct link to Tim. Also, I'm gonna pull a little plug and promote Tim as well, because I've been using him for five years. I took a break for about six months and tried to figure it out myself. I miserably failed. Thought I was saving money. It ended up costing me probably 3x what I was. What I was paying Tim. So Tim will do everything, like, literally All I have to do now is push one button to start, push one button to stop, and everything else taken care of. So if you guys have thought about launching a podcast and you actually want to make money with it, you know, Tim is the guy to go to. I'm gonna promote him because he's been someone who's worked closely with me for five years. And not only that, it's made it so much easier for me. I mean I'm almost at 550 episodes. I, I don't really when I first initially thought of doing it, it's like I'll just do a podcast. But like now to think about looking back and knowing, dude, I have 550 lessons that could be a, you know, that could be like its own version of the habit based lifestyle bible. I want to thank you, man. I want to thank you, your wife, your team for being a part of our community and also helping get the message out. Because I think that's been a really powerful thing for me and I get to look back, be like, wow, man, five years is, is represented from me, you know, going through some of the toughest times of my life, you know, launching a new business, that coaching business, moving to California, like all those things, I can go back and listen to where I was at. Yeah, mentally, you know, spiritually. Me and my wife have done a ton of episodes. I've actually had my kids on every episode on episodes. So it's cool to think about going back and listening to those man and, and I think for a man, woman, whatever business owner to be able to go back and actually listen to what your original podcast sounded like to what they sound like today, the transformation of change and just listening to your own voice. I remember, I think I told you this. At 50 episodes in, I could actually sit down and start listening to my own podcast and saying like, man, I'm actually getting something out of this. And I knew once I could do that other people would get stuff out of it too. So thank you, yeah, so much for being a part of the show, man.
I appreciate it, brother.
