Two people debate whether Drag Race's Slaysian Royale favors Filipina queens after La Kahena claimed the season is rigged. The cast includes major Filipino performers while other franchises sent early exits, raising questions about casting strategy and fairness.
I think there was some comments on Reddit where like, there was a queen who said, this is La Kahena, she tweeted out, she was the first out from France Season 1, first out from Canada vs. the World Season 2, and she tweeted that the season seems rigged for the Filipina girls and that she will not be watching the rest of the season. Oh, that's sad. And people were like, well listen, they casted all, like, very all-star heavy hitter Filipina queens and they casted mostly early outs from all the other franchises. And you know what, I, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised.
I have already accepted that. I mean, look what happened to Ginger Minj. People were also raving about the comments of, you know, it being rigged, right? Right, right. And that did not only happen once, it also happened in other franchises. Yes.
Yeah, so I'm already used to it, but I still enjoy the show. Absolutely. This is, you know, this kind of discussion and this kind of, uh, reaction is what keeps it interesting. Exactly. And you're right, I mean, it's one thing to be a good drag queen, it's one thing to be a good drag artist, and it's one thing to be good at Drag Race. And it's undeniable that they picked a cast of girls from the Philippines, especially who are good at drag race.
Exactly. I have a friend who commented that, and they plan to join season 4. I will not say who, but they said that that is not a competition, that is a reality show. Absolutely. And exactly true it is. It is. It is. Absolutely.
