The video features a conversation between two CSAA Insurance Group representatives (Speaker A and Speaker B) describing the company’s corporate volunteer program. They explain that volunteerism is a core value and that the program is structured around volunteer site leaders who act as local liaisons. Employees are required to complete at least 24 volunteer hours per year, with an optional "Dollars for Doers" incentive that awards $300 to a nonprofit when an employee reaches 30 hours. Speaker A shares a personal story of growing up near the office and experiencing family hardship, which fuels his passion for community clean‑up activities. The speakers highlight the tangible impact of volunteers cleaning building exteriors and emphasize research‑backed benefits: volunteering boosts employee engagement, morale, and willingness to come to work, while also providing personal fulfillment. The overall message is that CSAA’s volunteer program not only serves the community but also strengthens the workforce.

Volunteerism is part of our DNA, so continuing on that legacy of community service is very important to us.
We wanted our corporate volunteer program to be recognized as a national leader in the community. The biggest thing that we did is we have volunteer site leaders. That gave us somebody at each geographic site to be the point person, the liaison between CSA Insurance Group and the community.
Our volunteer programs at CSA allows agents to volunteer at least 24 hours out of the year to give back to the community. We also have Dollars for Doers. If they are able to complete up to 30 hours, they get $300 to give to a nonprofit. I get a lot of satisfaction from the volunteer event because I too was a child whose parent had to go to a shelter and get meals when she lost her job. So being able to come to the community and give back really is dear to my heart. I personally love volunteering and I grew up right a mile down the road. So to me, cleaning the streets right outside this office really hits home.
The CSAA Insurance Group volunteers in the hurdles, they volunteer in the field events, and this is why we depend on this insurance group to help out, and we appreciate that help. The volunteers that are working here today are helping clean up the front of these buildings. For them, again, it can be a very meaningful and rewarding experience knowing that they did make a difference in what they contributed. So we'll have a much better, cleaner face on the building after today is over.
I oftentimes say when I volunteer, I feel like I get more out of it than the actual nonprofit group. It feeds your soul, and there are so many There's been studies that will show that there's a direct correlation between volunteerism and engagement and employees' willingness to want to come to work. It's amazing. I mean, you get to enjoy the views, decompress, get to know your coworkers as well. I just had a friend call me from Los Angeles and said, "You're out in the park pulling weeds again?" And I'm like, "Yes, I am." Congratulations are in order for two very impressive reasons.
First, 2019 marked the second consecutive year that CSAA Insurance Group employees achieved 100% participation in employee volunteerism. Second, 2019 marked the fifth consecutive year that CSAA Insurance Group employees led the nation in companies over 3,000 employees in volunteerism participation.
