You Make Me Feel Mighty Real Remix by @brightlightx2
In this brief promotional segment, presenter Virginia Please announces a new glam reissue of Sylvester’s 1978 disco album that featured the iconic track “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real).” The reissue includes a disco‑ball‑clear glitter vinyl, a CD packed with remixes, and a fresh remix of the queer anthem by Bright Light Bright Light. Please highlights Sylvester’s significance as a Black, queer, gender‑fluid pioneer who moved from gospel training to synth‑driven disco, turning the song into a global hit and a rallying cry for queer rights. She relays Bright Light Bright Light’s perspective that remixing the track feels like hearing history itself, describing the result as “freedom‑filled.” The segment ends with a call to cut the vinyl, stream the remix, and experience the song’s spicy energy.
