Hi, I'm Joe Reese and today I'm excited to share with you the launch of a series of courses, the Data Engineering Professional Certificate Program, in partnership with Deep Learning AI and Amazon Web Services. If you're someone who is just getting started on your own data engineering journey, these courses are for you. You don't need any previous experience building data systems on the cloud to be successful in these courses. If you already have experience working as a data engineer, or maybe in an adjacent role like data analytics, data science or software engineering, you'll also find a lot of value. In these courses. We'll step through each of the stages of the data engineering lifecycle and in the lab activities you'll get hands on experience with complex topics like building batch and streaming data, pipelines, infrastructure as code orchestration, networking and security on the cloud, and much more. And these courses go far beyond just the how to skills of using various tools and technologies to build data systems. You'll also learn how to think about system requirements, trade offs between different architecture choices, and how you can deliver real business value in your work. And so these courses are designed to really get you thinking like a data engineer. Also, I'm pleased to put the spotlight on a number of my friends and colleagues in the field of data engineering. You'll be hearing from these industry leaders as well as experts from AWS to gain deeper insights into the topics covered throughout this program. I hope you'll join me for this adventure in data engineering.
