#BeADeepLearner like Apala, Luciano, Hermawan and Lorenzo

Four learners share how Coursera's Deep Learning Specialization helped them switch careers. Apala returned as a machine learning compiler engineer, Luciano became an AI developer in 2020, Hermawan moved from electronics engineering to deep learning at Sentient Vision Systems, and Lorenzo went from business analyst to machine learning engineer in Milan.

Over a million learners have taken the deep learning specialization on Coursera this month. I'm excited that we're celebrating our deep learners by sharing their stories and successes with you.
I had my first baby in the middle of 2020 and I quit my job to take care of my daughter. But I felt increasingly disconnected from my colleagues, my career, my work. At this point, I found the deep learning specialization and it was perfect. Nine months, three job interviews and two job offers. After my daughter's birth, I was working in my dream job as a machine learning compiler engineer. None of this would have been possible without my husband and the deep learning specialization.
My name is Luciano and I have over two decades of experience as a scientist. In 2020, when I'm looking to make a switch into AI, I took the deep learning specialization among other courses and did some home projects. And by the end of that year I landed my first job as an AI developer. Deep learning specialization was essential since it gave me all the necessary tools to grasp the basic concepts of AI. If you're looking to make a switch into AI, the deep learning specialization is an absolute must. I'm proud to be a deep learner and you can be one too. Join me and be a deep learner today.
Hi, my name is Herman Mulianov. In early 2019, when I was still working as an electronics engineer, I decided to take the deep learning specialization. It helped me build my machine learning fundamentals and continue learning from research papers and other online resources. Currently, I'm a deep learning software engineer at Sentient Vision Systems. The concepts that I learned from this specialization are highly relevant to my work. I am proud to be a deep learner and highly recommend this specialization to anyone interested in this field.
Hello guys, my name is Lorenzo and I'm here to talk about my experience with deep learning specialization. So three years ago when I took the course, I was working as a business analyst and I had a big dream of becoming a data scientist. And basically fast forward three years later, I work as a machine learning engineer with very interesting company here in Milan, Italy where we pretty much our work encompasses pretty much almost everything that's been happening lately in machine learning.
