Four learners share how Coursera's Deep Learning Specialization changed their careers. Macit built a self-driving car algorithm, Kulsoom created an American Sign Language recognition system, and Lei developed a chest X-ray classifier. They went from engineers to data scientists with new skills and confidence.

Over a million learners have taken the Deep Learning specialization on Coursera this month. I'm excited that we're celebrating our deep learners by sharing their stories and successes with you. I hope these stories will inspire you and perhaps also share some tips that will help you to continue on your learning path.
Hi, my name is Majit Kiragyokermak and I'm a computer Engineer with over 15 years of experience in the industry. Before I learned about deep learning specialization, I was an engineer working on test automation, backend and front end applications. After I completed DLS in 2018, I learned many things including where I could look for the important issues during the planning phase and how to act upon them. The return on investment from this specialization was fantastic. I highly recommend you to check it out. Join me and be a Deep Learner.
Today hello, my name is Khalsima Abdullah and I am a Principal Data Scientist at Anthem in the healthcare industry. Enrolling in and completing the Deep Learning specialization stoked my curiosity about advanced theoretical concepts. It also gave me the confidence to take on more hands on deep learning projects and to dive deeper into advanced machine learning methods. Since then I've completed many projects including my most recent one which was about a chest X ray multi label multi classification model. If you're looking to be a deep learner, this is a great place to start.
Join me and be a deep learner today. I retired from a 40 year career as an engineer and Chief scientist. Then I read about the Cloud Painter robot which led me to take the deep learning courses. I programmed a self driving car algorithm, recognized American Sign Language and yes, painted my wife Patty. Earlier this year I woke up with an idea Deep learning could solve an important problem. I filed a patent application that can make the world a better place.
