LARRUZ tested ChatGPT's reintroduced Bing browsing and found it inconsistent, often needing 3 to 5 retries for usable results. It now respects robots.txt and blocks paywalled content, but returns limited data. Web Pilot plugin works better.

ChatGPT can now browse the Internet as OpenAI reintroduced Bing browsing for all plus users. So essentially we have ChatGPT with access to the Internet and up to date information. But how effective is this feature really for my testing? Here's what I found. It's essentially the same browsing we had back in May with a lot of new limitations. Many websites can't be accessed that could be accessed before. This also goes for paywalls, so you can't use it to get around paywalls of various blogging sites anymore. And what I also found is that many websites where you can actually access the content, it's very limited. This is due to the fact that the main update happened with the robots Txt file, which is essentially a file every website has that outlines how much of the website ChatGPT can access. And look, in practice you usually have to rerun the prompt three to five times to get a usable result. And that's why I would actually still recommend using the Web Pilot plugin, which essentially does the same thing, but more reliably just go to Plugins enable Web Pilot and can do the same thing. Now look, Bing browsing might get better over time, but as of right now, I wouldn't recommend you use this. It's not very reliable.
