Ex Robots, a Chinese company, built AI robots that mimic human facial expressions and emotions. CEO Li Boyang demonstrated one copying his face in real time. The robots use predefined scenarios or biological data from human faces to generate expressions, raising questions about how closely machines should replicate us.
So China is creating robots that look and act like us, but better. Apparently that means they can copy your expressions and emotions in a blink of an eye. The CEO of Ex Robots, Li Boyang, demonstrated this by making faces at a robot, who then mirrored them back at him. X Robots claims that their robots can interact naturally with humans. But what if I said, looking like a melted waxwork there, buddy? Would they cry oily tears or just serve up some epic robo repartee? They also have a specialized system for generating expressions, and either by using predefined scenarios or by collecting biological data from human faces. So basically, they can steal your smile and use it for themselves. How creepy is that?
