Cleaning Up Incorrectly Labelled Data (C3W2L02)

This lecture explains how to handle incorrectly labelled examples in supervised learning. Key points: deep learning models are reasonably robust to random label errors in the training set but vulnerable to systematic labeling biases; for dev/test sets, measure the fraction of dev errors caused by bad labels and use three numbers (overall dev error, percent of errors due to incorrect labels, remainder due to other causes) to decide whether fixing labels is worth the effort. Practical advice: when fixing labels, apply the same process to dev and test sets, check examples the model got right as well as wrong, and perform manual error analysis to prioritize work.
