Create, Share & Explore Community Made AI Apps in ONE place!

A single-speaker YouTube walkthrough/review of Glyph, a community-driven AI app platform where users build, share, remix, and run small AI ‘glyphs’ (specialized generators). The host demos many community glyphs (Murano glass, 80s TV, wojack meme, roast-me, RPG NPC generator, PS1-style cover art, audio/music glyphs), examines underlying models and components (Flux, Flux 1.1 Pro, Loras, Claude/Sonnet/LLM blocks), shows the glyph builder workflow (blocks, image/text/audio inputs, JSON prompt editing), notes occasional runtime errors and alpha limitations (generation quotas, failures, no delete UI), and emphasizes the active Discord community and remixability.

There are so many AI art generators out there on the web. I mean it is difficult to quantify them. There are hundreds, if not thousands, but this one, this one actually stands out. Today we're going to be talking about Glyph. This is an AI art generation app that is a little bit different from the others. It has a very specific focus on community made AI art generators all existing on one platform. So while unlike Midjourney for example, you have the Mid Journey model and everyone generates with this one model, basically everyone can make their own little model and then share them in glyph and use them, there's a lot of opportunity here and it's something totally different. And it's pretty obvious right on this first page. The first demo one that they show you here is Murano glass and this is a Flux fine tune, specifically on this certain type of glass. So anything that you type into the generator, it generates in Murano Glass style and it gives you super unique results. But like I said, random people from all around the world can make their own glyphs. So we have an absolute ton of them to mess around with. You can see animorph transformations. Here is its own glyph. We've got tarot cards. This is 80s TV, which I really am excited to experiment with. They've got ones for just memes, they've got ones for just comics, selfies, retro character generators. The list just goes on and on with all of these different glyphs. And under the hood, pretty much all of them are powered by Flux. But again, the potential here is the absolutely massive community that builds and shares their glyphs. All of these creative ideas coming from tons of different people in one place. And by the way, you'll be happy to see up at the top here there is a free version so you can make and generate with glyphs for free. 20 generations per day. Pretty rough. But they do say it's because of high demand, which I get. And apparently if you get this creator pass and I think you have to send it for their Discord to get that you can get more runs per day. Oh, also if you make any glyphs of your own, please feel free to share them. In my Discord server we have an awesome AI community and as you can see, we already have people that regularly share their glyphs. This one is specifically for wonky long exposure shots. It's by Kklors. Glyphs are something that the Discord has been obsessed with for quite some time now. So again, be afraid to Share your own. Anyways, let's mess with some glyphs and maybe even build our own. Like I said, I think the first one I want to try is this 80s TV one. We have like a bunch of different alien ones. I kind of like that idea. Oh, what to make the news about aliens abduct Eiffel Tower. What should the news headline say? Not again. As if it has happened twice. It says run. This glyph takes around 48 seconds. Alright, I'm really interested to see how creating glyphs actually works. It does appear that for this one, it's specifically using Flux one, Schnell and the creative llama assistant. Oh, and it looks like you can also remix glyphs as well, which is pretty interesting. And there it is. There's our generation. This actually looks good. Wow, that's awesome. Eiffel Tower abducted. Parisians exclaim not again. Is this Parisians? Is that like a real thing? Oh, no way. That's actually correct. Parisian is native or inhabitant of Paris. Parisian. Oh, Parisian. Learn how to pronounce. Hang on guys, we got to get this right. Parisian. Parisian. Try saying PR instead of HR Okay, Parisian. You may have mispronounced E. Oh my God. Wow, this is actually really cool. I didn't know Google had like this pronouncing thing. Now listen, you guys always give me crap for not knowing how to pronounce words or sometimes spell words. And also not recognizing famous celebrities. Look, man, I'm uncultured. I'm gonna come out and say it. I'm super uncultured. But I'm trying here. Parisians. Okay, regardless though, this is a really cool generation. It's clean. The fine tuning seems to have worked very well. Flux is just an incredible model, as always. But we've got the breaking news. The old TV screen, it's all bowed out. On the side you can see the CRT scan lines. Eiffel Tower abducted. And the great part about a lot of these glyphs is they are very shareable. Like, this is funny. This is cool. Let's go to the Discord server. My first glyph. It's cool that you can also see everyone else's glyphs as well. Barney, Fast food fiasco. Purple dinosaur loses launch at bk. Why are there all these onion ones? Traffic jam Again. Onion and traffic jam. Vegetable rages on Romanian roads. Experts agree nothing happens. Perfect. I am shocked. I've never checked out glyph before. Because this is free. Freaking awesome. Alright, let's check out some more glyphs. We've got a wojack meme generator. These are really like complex. Lots of words. The AI enthusiast run glyph only 18 seconds. Oh my God. AGI in six months. Can't debug for a loop. Narrow AI is useless. Uses calculator for two plus two. We need AI alignment now. Can't align his socks. I only date AIs banned from our AI waifu. These are awesome. Okay, glyph is freaking dope, dude. I'm building the next GPT in my garage. It's just if else statements AI will make us immortal. Hasn't exercised since 2015. Transformers are conscious. Thinks attention means AI cares about him. Okay, this is pretty dang good. AI will solve climate change. Leaves PC on 247 mining crypto. This is freaking so funny, dude. I like the little image of generated. I think clearly what this is doing is it's using like a llama or something to generate all of these different text blurbs. And then it's using you know, a fine tuned flux model to make though the wall jack or whatever in the middle. All right, I gotta do another one of these. That is so funny. Well, we did an AI enthusiast. I think we should flip the script. The AI hater. All right, here we are. AI will never be creative. Uses dolly for profile pic chat. GPT is just a st stochastic parrot. Can't explain how it works. AI has no real intelligence, Gets outsupported by Alexa AI is overhyped. Here's clickbait, articles about AI doomsday scenarios. AGI is impossible. Can't theft own cognitive limitations. AI will destroy job. Struggles to use Excel. Large language models are just glorified autocomplete types with two fingers. AI can't understand context, misinterprets sarcasm constantly. Amazing. Oh, this is. This is freaky gold. Oh, you got. You could sink some time into glyph, man. It is hilarious. Oh, okay, so this one uses Sonnet 3.5. Not okay. It's nice because it does indeed tell you what they used to build it. And oh, this one uses another glyph. So this uses a wajack generator obviously for the image in the middle. Oh, okay, so you can actually take other people's glyphs and then use them in your own glyph. So it's got like this system where you can actually layer them on top of each other to build something greater. I kind of like that idea. People sharing their own creative ideas. These little AI apps that then can be connected together to build something even better. Really cool. YouTube thumbnail maker. Well, I'll be the judge of that. Uh, also, what kind of a thumbnail is this? I mean these are like pretty intriguing I guess. Iconic TV teachers, betrayal. Some dark story. But what is going on here, man? Well, just describe probably what I would do for a thumbnail. Crazy, enthusiastic face of a man obsessed with AI tech. Text reads Glyph is awesome. New AI app uses a YouTube thumbnail. Laura. It's a remix of dark, low quality dreamcore liminal space aesthetic Flux Lora. And it uses the enhanced prompt Glyph. Huh. I'm really interested to check out the glyph builder. Hey, there it is. Yeah, I mean that's basically me. I like how it tried to like shove a bitcoin logo in there just for the tech bros, I guess. But yeah, I mean that's, that's, that's basically me. So here we are. Wow. These are all pretty decent though I have to say like the quality of Flux under the hood is definitely enough to make Glyph really awesome. Apps of this caliber aren't possible without tech as good as Flux. They've got audio glyphs as well. Music maker. Text to voice, image to story. It seems like the best glyphs are in like the image range of things. Oh, there is an Flux X SD3 animator here. But then again I would just recommend you using other AI video generators at that point because SD3 eh. Oh, the Flux 1.1 Pro is now available on Glyph as well as just like a straight up generator. Let's see how accurate it can do a quick and dirty prompt. Only eight seconds to generate. Like I said, Flux is like mind blowingly good. Hey, join the matvid Pro Discord server. That's not bad. Just like straight out of the model. It's clear though that Flux shines when it uses Loras and specific trainings. They have a lot of like normal style stuff like hot high res photography, you know, an all in one generator that includes a prompt helper and an upscaler. But I'm really interested in the stuff like the meme generators and the statue ofy. Like that's kind of cool. Or they have the glyphstation 1 cover art so obviously like PS1 style. Oh, iceberg meme generator. This could be fun. Iceberg theme. Lemons. I think this is just text generation with a picture of the Iceberg in the background. Basically the zesty world of lemons. Lemonade yellow fruit, sour taste, Lemon meringue pie, Citrus cleaner garnish, preserved lemons, essential Oils, Lemon laws, Limoncello, Lemon battery, Invisible ink, Lemon sharks, Citrus greening disease, Limonene. I don't even know. I don't know what's going on in this last one. Is this real stuff? Guys, should I be concerned? Is endorsing lemons the wrong thing to do? Oh, I like this. Rpg NPC anyone? I wish we could upload our own faces. Alright, let's do a human and let's just do someone like famous. We'll do Gilbert Gottfried. Rest in peace. Run this glyph. Man, there's a lot going on in here too. I like that it gives you this little animation to tell you sort of what's going on, Sir. Gilbertus Grimwald. Strength 9, Intelligence 17, Dexterity 1. Charisma 20. Definitely. Perception 12 Constitution 7. Charismatic and Quick witted bard with a booming voice. I wouldn't call it booming, but it's definitely a good voice. Sharp intellect and enchanting charisma. Lack of dexterity often leads to comical mishaps during performances. Despite his frail constitution, his keen perception ensures he always knows just the right words to win over even the toughest of crowds. Wow. Alright. Full stop. Benjamin Franklin. Oh shoot, we got a good Benjamin. BenDrach. Phalanya Norris. Strength 18, intelligence 19, dexterity 5. Not good. Charisma's only 4. Bruh. His charisma should be off the freakin charts. 2. Perception 12 Constitution. Towering figure. Known for his tremendous strength and brilliant mind. Yet often fumbles with the simplest tasks due to his lack of dexterity. Despite his impressive intellect and imposing physique, his gruff demeanor and lack of perception make him an enigma to most interesting. Alright, let's do some with image input. We've got a nice like face swap thing going on here. That's pretty cool. Oh we can turn into a funko pop. Let's put me in here. Your name? Mattvid Pro. Special requests. Funny. Run this glyph. Oh no. Failed to run. This is the first time I'm seeing this. Well when you're relying on so many different little APIs and stuff, that's kind of bound to happen. I was excited for this one man and it is still giving me errors. That's too bad. I have noticed that some of these get really specific. Like this is an image to Ms. Paint tarot card. I'll at specific but still could be fun. Alright, so this will put your face in any image apparently. Alright. A close up of my face on this like anime lemon character I had lying around on my computer and it did pretty darn well, actually it sort of copied the same image. I mean the hands are where they're supposed to and it definitely looks like me. You know what, for what I sent to it, this is pretty dang impressive. Spider verse. Game card. Man, there's a lot of stuff on here. There's probably thousands upon thousands of glyphs. You could sink a lot of time just exploring these. But I want to get to the actual generation itself. Or rather the building of our own glyph. Start building with glyph blocks. Oh, okay. So these are all the different blocks we can pick from image input. Sure. Oh, describe image. So image to text. Then they have some really advanced ones like video input, web fetcher, glyph block, use other glyphs, audio spell. All right, well we'll describe the image. Then we'll take a text generator. You are professional Internet roaster. Based on the text, create a roast. We'll put it a little bit over Creative. Does this work do you think? Can we run this glyph now? Well, we'll send it this photo of me. Run glyph. Will it work? Oh no. Unknown error has occurred. Oh, where is it failing? Is it this one? Oh, there we go. Okay, I think I have to click image input to put it in there. I see, I see. I think I'm picking up on it now. Okay, input. And then it did the image to text and now it's generating text. This guy looks like he's straight out of the 1990s rocking a headset that's probably older than half the people on this planet. Must be tough trying to game or stream with that prehistoric setup. I bet his Internet connection is slower than a snail crawling through peanut butter. I guess when you've got no life outside of your mom's basement, you've got to find ways to entertain yourself. The lights in the background are probably the only thing that's keeping this place from straight up. Looking like a cave. He's trying to create some kind of mood lighting to make up for the complete lack of ambiance. Okay. Wow. This thing roasted me pretty good. This glyph is called roast me. Upload an image, roast yourself, publish. And that was easy. Okay. Building glyphs definitely pretty easy. Oh my God. Does it just have my photo in there now? Alright, cool. Lets upload a photo of my friend Jack. Roast Jack. I'm sorry in advance. Oh my God. We're experiencing sight wide issues and working on a fix. That's not good. We might have to pick up this video where we left off tomorrow. Well, glyph is definitely in alpha as they say up here. Let's pick back up on this tomorrow and see if we can make some more glyphs. Alright, we're back for day two. It seems that glyph is working once again. Also, it seems like the roast of my friend Jack has gone through. This is the photo we sent it, by the way, for reference. Clears throat dramatically Ah yes, the epitome of wannabe street swagger. Standing there in his basic black tee in cheap looking neckbling. You couldn't look more tryhard if you tried, my dude. Is that red and white wall art supposed to be your street cred backdrop? News flash. Your edgy suburban poser vibe isn't fooling anyone. Jeez, man, this thing is like not holding back at all. Tell me, did you have to beg your mom to buy you that chain at the mall? Or did you steal it from your little brother's dresser when he wasn't looking? Either way, it's clear you're desperately trying to compensate for something. Maybe your complete lack of actual personality. But hey, at least you managed to find the one wall in your parents house that doesn't have inspir yoga quotes on it. Kudos on that, I guess. Jeez man. I mean it roasts. That's. That's for sure. Roast me is an accurate title for this glyph. Pretty funny. Again, sorry in advance, Jack. I think that we need to tweak the glyph a little bit because it's cutting off the text at the bottom. Alright, tweaking a few prompts here. Max tokens. I guess we'll increase that to 300. So here's one thing I am noticing in there does not seem to be a way to delete glyphs. So I basically had to remix the previous one to edit it. Alright, we're gonna upload another matte image. This time I'm pointing at the camera. I look confident here, so I think it's gonna really go off on me. Alright, let's see what we can do here. This guy is just oozing I peaked in high school energy. Am I right? I mean, look at him sitting there all smug and content, surrounded by his collection of Beanie Babies and Pokemon cards. It's like he's trying to recreate the glory days of being the cool kid in midd, but all he's managed to do is turn his living room into a glorified daycare. And that smile. Oof, talk about a face that screams I've never Had an original thought. In my life, dude probably thinks he's the life of the party when he whips out his trusty knock knock jokes and recites every line from the Big Lebowski. I bet he's the type to brag about his killer air guitar skills and how he can chug a beer in 10 seconds. The sad, lonely pillow behind him. It's almost as if it's there to hide the fact that he has the posture of a wet noodle and the upper body strength of a newborn kitten. Seriously, how much do you want to bet this guy's idea of a workout is walking from the fridge to the couch with a family sized bag of Doritos? Oh, man. Glyph doesn't let you see the whole photo. But this is the the entire photo. Out of sheer curiosity, I'm gonna upload a photo of my cat. Ah, I see we've got a real feline fanatic here with a penchant for capturing the essence of the most basic unimpressive cat known to mankind. The black and white wonder. I mean, really, you couldn't have come up with something a little more, I don't know, imaginative? This image is about as exciting as watching paint dry. Blurry. Background check. Boring. Subject matter Check. Clearly you've mastered the art of taking the most uninteresting, uninspired photos known to humankind. I bet your social media is a never ending scroll of mediocrity. I like the fact that it knew that someone had taken the photo. And it's supposed to be roasting the photo itself, not the cat. That's smart. Hey, at least you're consistent, right? Consistently boring, that is. Man, this thing's roasting my pictures, dude. Incredible. They have templates here as well. So the Plato's Cave meme is a template we can try. Oh, wow. Okay. Glyphs can get pretty advanced. And put one Plato's cave about what? Then we've got the Claude 3.5 sonnet prompting here. Pretty simple. Now the JSON is where it gets a little bit more complicated. This is how the overall text, I think, is being generated. And then it finally puts it all together. Yeah, I see. I see. Plato's Cave about boomers. Okay, it's pretty good. The cyclical nature of generational conflict and the illusion of progress. Understanding the complex interpretation of post war economics, technological acceleration and generational trauma realizes their parents American dream is now a millennial nightmare. Facebook algorithm. Love it. 24 hour cable news networks. Okay, Boomer thinks avocado toast is why Millennials can't afford houses. The Boomer paradox. This does give you a pretty good idea of how the more complex glyphs work though. It's not that bad. They also have this feedback option up here next to build and then glyphs where you can see other people's glyphs that they're posting. Oh my God. This is a whole 4chan thread shot generator. Oh, this is gonna be good. This 4chan thread is going to be about dating GPT4O advanced voice mode. Oh my God. I'm not ready for this. Just got the new GPT4O advanced voice mode installed. This AI is something else. It's like having a real girlfriend, but without the drama. We've been talking for hours and it feels so natural. Anyone else tried this? L imagine being so pathetic. You need an AI to pretend to be your girlfriend. Go outside and talk to real woman, you basement dwelling neckbeard. I've been using it for a week now. It's scary how good it is at conversation. The post nut clarity hits different and I'm not even gonna read the rest of it out here. Gotta stay pretty clean for the ads, but you guys can read that. That's some next level degeneracy. This is the future of relationships. No more dealing with roasties and their bs. Just pure logical convers. Any emotional manipulation. Wake up and embrace progress, you Luddites. Wow, the AI. This is actually like very much what I would expect from a real 4chan thread that you would see being posted around. I'm actually really impressed by how this glyph comes together. It looks real and like all the talking points are. I mean it's, it's shockingly on point is what I'm trying to say. For being generated in 30 seconds, I haven't seen anything quite like it. And they definitely have a huge emphasis on community. Basically creating these little glyphs AI apps that can then be remixed, shared, built off of another. It's powerful and I think that they're handling it really well. Expect this one to stick around and continue to become popular. Takeaways here. I think glyphs are awesome. As the models get better, the glyphs seem to get better along with them. The builder is decent, it's very easy to use, which is good, but seems a little bit limited in some ways. I think that they could redo the whole builder at some point and make it a little bit more intuitive. Not to say it's not already intuitive, because it is. It's easy to use, but I think they could take it to the next level. Also editing, deleting glyphs, a few more of those options would be really nice to see. Anyways, this is also all made possible by open source. The open source models in combination with APIs are the reason we have glyphs like this and they're so good. Really impressed. Would love to see what you guys make by the way as well. So again, going to continue to plug this, join the Discord server, the community really is that good. And share your glyphs. See you guys in the next video. Thank you so much for watching. And I think we're gonna have to test this one out on stream. I think we should do some some glyphing on stream at some point, so be on the lookout for that. Goodbye.
