Elon Musks NEW Plans To Crush Sam Altman And OpenAI

YouTube commentary (LARRUZ) analyzing the public feud between Elon Musk and Sam Altman centered on OpenAI. The video reviews OpenAI's 2015 founding, Musk's claim that OpenAI abandoned its nonprofit/open-source mission to become a closed-source, for-profit entity tied to Microsoft, and allegations that Sam Altman received large equity/financial benefits (mentions of a possible 7% stake and $10B in stock). It covers Musk's lawsuit seeking injunctions to block OpenAI's for-profit moves and alleged misuse of competitively sensitive information, quotes critics (Avi Emanuel), cites public social-media jabs (Grok vs ChatGPT political-bias example), and discusses competition for Nvidia GPUs and AI infrastructure (claims Nvidia GB200 deliveries tied to Musk/XAI). The piece is opinionated and summarizes public remarks and reporting rather than presenting independent investigative evidence.

So Elon Musk and Sam Altman have actually gotten into some crazy feuds recently. And in this video I'm going to dive into the history and then show you guys the craziness that has recently come about. So if you aren't familiar with OpenAI, it was actually founded in 2015 by Elon Musk and OpenAI. So these guys actually founded the company just around nearly 10 years ago. It was now. But the crazy thing about this is that OpenAI, according to Elon Musk, has completely strayed from, from its original mission. The main thing that Elon Musk has claimed which has caused this feud between them is the fact that OpenAI was created as an open source, open AI nonprofit company to serve as a counterweight to Google. But it has now become a closed source maximum profit company effectively controlled by Microsoft, which is not what he intended at all. We can also see that in the early days that Elon Musk and OpenAI were really worried about Google DeepMind considering the fact that they had the best AI researchers and AI talent and they wanted to stay ahead of the competition. You can see here, Elon Musk literally said that either we get the best people in the world or we will get whipped by DeepMind. Whatever it takes to bring on any ace talent is fine by me. But now Elon Musk has a very different relationship with Sam Altman. Whilst in the early days these two were friends and partners, it now seems that they no longer trust each other. And Elon Musk has been very vocal about his distrust for Sam Altman. He, you can see him actually talk about the early days of OpenAI and why he no longer trusts Sam Altman.
How concerned is Sam Altman about annihilation do you think?
I think in reality he is not concerned about it. I don't trust OpenAI. I mean I started that company as a nonprofit open source. Yes, the open in OpenAI. I named the company OpenAI as an open source and it is now extremely closed source and maximizing profit.
There's risking.
I don't understand how you actually go from being a, an open source nonprofit to a closed source for maximum profit organization.
Now recently there was this information that had everybody just completely gobsmacked which was the fact that potentially Sam Altman was going to get 7% equity stake in the company and restructuring to become a for profit business. And that would mark the first time that Sam Altman was granted ownership in the AI startup. Now the reason that this statement completely rocked the AI community and the investing world when was because Sam Altman previously reiterated multiple times that he isn't doing this for the money. You can see here in an earlier interview earlier this year, I think it was last year that Sam Altman actually spoke about the fact that like so many people are worried that he's trying to make money with OpenAI. It would be so much easier if he just said, look, I'm trying to make a trillion dollars with this company and profit from it. Like, and I think, I think people.
Think it's a little bit of an ulterior motive. Well, yeah, yeah, yeah. No, so it assumes what else is he doing on the side to make money? If I were just trying to say like, I'm going to try to make a trillion dollars with, I think everybody would have an easier time and it would save me, it would save a lot of conspiracy theories.
And that's essentially what Elon Musk refers to in the latter part of this interview.
Well, but Sam Altman got rich, didn't he?
At various points he's claimed not to be getting rich, but he's claimed many things, said Wolfheld. And now apparently he's gonna get $10 billion of stock or something like that. So I don't trust Sam Altman and I don't think we wanna have the most powerful AI in the world controlled by someone who is not trustworthy.
Now in Sam Altman's defense, he actually does have a wide array of companies that invested in and those holdings independently of OpenAI are at least around $2.8 billion. So I gotta be honest, it doesn't really seem like Sam Altman is doing this for the money. Because once you cross over $100 million, I'm not sure what else you're going to spend your money on. Now what's crazy about all of this is the fact that there is a lawsuit that Elon Musk has filed to stop OpenAI from doing various things. I remember how I talked about previously that the fact that OpenAI was founded to be a non profit company. But now we are in a situation where it looks like OpenAI are restructuring to become a for profit company. Elon Musk is basically saying that, look, you guys betrayed the initial founding agreement for the company and the feud doesn't stop there. Elon Musk has recently made several comments about how Sam Altman has certain characteristics that he thinks are distrustworthy. Recently on Twitter he made a comment titled Sam Altman is a little fake finger. And this appears to be a comparison between Sam Altman and possibly the character called Littlefinger from the TV series Game of Thrones. Now Littlefinger is known for being a martyr strategist and of course a manipulator, often working behind the scenes to influence events to his advantage. And in this context, Elon Musk is basically stating that Sam Altman is similarly strategic or cunning in his actions, potentially implying critique considering the fact that all of opening eyes senior leadership had left during this time. Now, of course it goes without saying that Sam Altman was of course ousted from the board for not being consistently candid. And this was one of the times where we got some interesting information with regards to Sam Altman's character. It was alleged from Business Insider that Multiple versions of OpenAI's Sam Altman CEO have emerged from reporting of his firing and rehiring. There's a Machiavellian politician and, or the smart CEO tactician and some people were stating that who is the real Sam Altman. And of course it was the board's decision to fire Sam Altman, but I guess we will never know the real reason why he was fired. Now, some people that left OpenAI actually did state that Sam Altman is nice, but apparently is a deceptive, manipulative liar. One of the OpenAI employees that used to work there said that. Third, my prior is strongly against Sam after working for him at two years at OpenAI, he was always nice to me, but lied to me on various occasions. And he was deceptive, manipulative and worse to others, including my friends again. Now some individuals in the space, such as the media juggernaut Endeavour CEO Avi Emanuel, actually says that Sam Altman is a conman. And he actually agrees with Elon Musk that betraying the original mission for profit is not the right thing to do.
As it relates to Sam Ullman, I.
Think he's.
He'S a con man. You know, I, I think that, you know, the old shucks thing, I don't know, started out with Elon, gave him a lot of money, supposed to be non profit, now he's making a lot of money. I don't know why I would trust him. I don't, I don't know why we would trust these people not. And they're very smart. And there's probably, you know, you just have to weigh the following for all the stuff they're saying that could be great. And I think it is healthcare, you know, new discoveries, a lot of great stuff. And we have to figure that out. And this is where the regulation has come. I looked at a whole host and thought about A whole host of stuff that's bad. So you're telling me you've done the calculation and the good outweighs the bad, really?
Now the feud has gotten to the point where we have Sam Altman actually throwing jabs at Elon Musk. You can see here on Twitter, he says, which one is supposed to be the left wing propaganda machine again? And he actually shows us two answers, one from ChatGPT and one from Grok2. And we can see here that basically Grok2 was asked who would be the overall better president for the United States, Trump or Harris. Then he asked ChatGPT, you can see that ChatGPT actually was giving something balanced. And then you can see that Grok2 was stating that Kamala Harris would be the better overall president. And this is actually referencing the fact that Elon Musk has consistently called out OpenAI for developing a left wing propaganda machine with a model that is highly censored. Now, what's crazy about this is that someone actually did quote this tweet and they did say, Sam Altman disingenuously cuts off the bottom portion of the answer where GROK plays out the arguments for both candidates and does not choose to give a response. Run this test to see if you wish. And then, of course, Elon Musk says, swindley Sam is at it again. Now, this feud has gotten to the point where Elon Musk has actually recently filed an injunction to halt OpenAI's transition into a for profit. We can see that one of the main reasons why he did this was the fact that one of the things that OpenAI did or SAM Altman did was they discouraged investors from backing OpenAI rivals like Elon Musk and his company Xai, and basically saying that, look, if you're investing in our company, you can't really invest in the competitors. And this includes things like Ilya Suskova's Safe Superintelligent and of course, Elon Musk Company. Now, Sam Altman actually did refute these claims and he actually did make a good point. If you're investing with us, you're not allowed to see our project roadmap, because of course we are going to be leaking some sort of secret and we don't want our competitors to gain that advantage. But of course, there are some other things that Elon Musk claims. He says that OpenAI are benefiting from wrongfully obtained competitively sensitive information through OpenAI's connections with Microsoft. The injunction also talks about how he wants to stop them from transferring to a for profit. And of course, stopping OpenAI to do businesses with organizations in which Sam Altman has a material financial interest. Basically stating that, look, OpenAI is forming several partnerships to which Sam Altman has some key investments and he stands to benefit from those investments. Now, interestingly enough, we actually did get Sam Altman in an interview talking about how he views Elon Musk in the current day to day as a guy who.
I spent a lot of time with him and you guys founded this thing together. How you feel personally today about all this? This is a tremendously sad. I grew up with Elon as like a mega hero. I thought what Elon was doing was absolutely incredible for the world. And I'm still, of course, I mean I have different feelings about him now, but I'm still glad he exists. And not. Not just because, no, I mean that genuinely not. Not just because I think he, his companies are awesome, which I do think, but because I think he, like at a time when most of the world was not thinking very ambitiously, he pushed a lot of people, me included, to think much more ambitiously. And I'm grateful is like the wrong kind of word, but I'm like thankful. I'm positive about that. You know, we started OpenAI together and then at some point he like totally lost faith in OpenAI and decided to go his own way and that's fine too. But I think of Elon as a builder and someone who like, you know, known thing about Elon, he really cares about being the guy. But I think of him as someone that if he's not, that just competes in the market and in technology and whatever else and doesn't resort to lawfare and you know, whatever the stated complaint is, what I believe is he's just like he's a competitor and we're doing well.
And that said, now as it stands currently, it seems that we are at a crossroads and things are only to get one user tweeted that Elon Musk bulldozed Sam's political attempts and has the first access to the new Nvidia GPUs and already has the biggest AI cluster and is tying up OpenAI's moved in for profit court and now owns all the real world context streams, humanoids, cars, social media platforms. How does Sam Altman win here? And someone actually responded stating that OpenAI likely has already started a Manhattan Project with the US government and his training on government user data. But of course, if you aren't familiar with Elon Musk's political efforts, he's now someone that is firmly wedged within the Department of Government Efficiency. So he's basically stating that, look, considering that Elon Musk has some really strong ties to President Trump, it's quite likely that Elon Musk could use his power to harm his competitors. And I think, namely in this example, we're talking about Sam Altman. And it's crazy because Sam Altman is actually frustrated with how well Elon Musk has been able to secure those Nvidia chips. You can see Here it says OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. After Musk posted on X about it, Altman got into an argument with infrastructure executives at Microsoft, telling them that he was concerned XAI was moving faster than Microsoft, according to a person that heard his remarks. And this was basically due to the fact that Elon Musk has landed even more Nvidia GB200 delivery in January with $1 billion. And he's managed to negotiate this directly with Nvidia. And if you aren't familiar with why this is such a big deal, securing chips on that scale is basically like securing your company's AI future. And it's something that OpenAI have been trying to do for some time. So the fact that Elon Musk was able to do it in such a short amount of time is completely incredible. So with this being said, what do you guys think about Sam Altman and Elon Musk? Do you think that Sam Altman is just playing the long term altruistic game? I do think that Sam Altman has some interesting characteristics, but of course, definitely is being seen in the negative light here. Overall, I think this feud is fueling the AI race in terms of competition. So it seems like the best thing for us is that we'll get some better models out of it. Overall, I think it's really fascinating to see how two former friends and people that founded a company together have now ended up on the other side of the fence.
