GPT-4: The Future of Music is Now & It’s Unbelievable!

Creating music by yourself has never been easier than in 2023. GPT4 can generate the lyrics and with other additional AI apps, you are able to synthesize artists voices, split the stems, and put a track together all by yourself without any knowledge required. And that's exactly what we're gonna do today. But as producing music is not exactly my expertise, I got some help today. I would like you to welcome my guest for today's video, my beautiful girlfriend. And we're going to be doing this together. While it is intuitive, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. So she's going to be giving me some guidance, some assistance. She knows how to match multiple tracks. So let me just ask you, what type of music do you usually make?

I usually create deep house music and then I create also R B alternative pop music music.

So amazing. And I'll just add on. She loves to experiment with different styles and new tools. So while she has never really used AI for music before, we're going to explore it together today. So here's the plan. First of all, we need lyrics, right? So we're going to use GPT4 to generate the lyrics. Secondly, we're going to take those lyrics and run them through an app called Uber Duck, which can take the lyrics and synthesize the voice for you. You can create any artist there. But we decided to go with J. Cole today, right?

Next up, we're going to need a beat. And this is where this video is going to start getting interesting because I want to show you a tool that I wanted to explain Floor by myself. Anyway, and they reached out to sponsor videos. I was like, this is perfect. The tool is called Lalal AI and it splits the track into its stems, so you can take out the drums, you can take out the vocals and add different parts. So we're gonna go through this whole process together, starting with GPT4. All right, so step one, I wanna show you this. You know, I have an ebook, and in the old version it looked something like this. I have a prompt for music creation. There was specifically for raps and I had the examples here. But now we're upgrading it to the new version of the ebook and it looks more like this. While the prompt in this one stayed the same, the examples are way more colorful. So let's just read through some of these examples and use it as I intended it. We're gonna get inspired by some of these styles and apply it to our very own track. Okay?

Okay. So let's have a look. So the first one is write a pop song about the challenges of growing up. So I think we'll do a rap song.

In the style of J. Cole. And then we can pick a topic. What do we wanna do the topic about? So here, the challenges of growing up. About your partner. About a social issue that is important to you. About your experiences growing. Growing up in a rural area. Do you have a preference here? About your family's heritage, about heartbreak and loss, about the beauty of nature. I kind of like that one.

Yeah, me too.

Okay, so let's do it about the beauty of nature. All right, next up, we're going to look at the second part of the prompt. So as you can see here in the formula, it just has additional details and that's where the examples come in handy. So right here after the comma, you can see, for example, elements of electronic dance music and using catchy hooks and relatable lyrics to capture the emotions and experience of adolescents. And this is where I would leave it up to you, because I really don't know what we want to capture here, but there's just various styles. So maybe just have a look over the second part of these and pick one that you like.

I think I like the second one.

Elements of pop and R and B music and using metaphors and imagery to convey the depth of your emotions.

Okay. Incorporating elements of hip hop and using powerful lyrics and a catchy chorus to rally support for your cause. That's cool. The cause of communicating the beauty of nature. That's what we're doing here today. Perfect.

So let's take the second part and we'll go straight into GPT 4. Paste this. And then we're going to take the first part from here. This is how I intended these examples to be used. So we have a brand new prompt here. Easy copy pasting. So now we want to change it from jazz song to rap song, probably. Right?

So write a rap song about the beauty of nature, incorporating elements of hip hop and using powerful lyrics and a catchy chorus to rally support for your cause. That's kind of cool. I like it.

Beautiful. And at this point, I have to say, GPT4 is so damn good at writing songs. Guys, honestly, it's better than GPT 3.5. I know you played around with it just a little bit.

But it's unmatched. Right. 3.5 was like okay, this is cute. But now it's like it's the real better. Okay, so let's have a look. What did we get here? Verse one. Yo, I'm walking through the forest feeling alive I like that beginning. That's good. Taking in the beauty Letting my soul revive the trees be standing tall the birds be singing loud Nature all around me man, it's making me so proud. That's good.

That's really cool.

Honestly, this thing still surprises me every time. Okay, and then let's look at the chorus, because that's the important part, right? So we're gonna rise up for the beauty of n nature Stand tall like the trees Be the ultimate savior okay. From the mountains to the sea we'll make a change in this world of wonder will rearrange I think that's catchy. Yeah. Yeah, I think so. It definitely flows, and I like the meaning behind it too.

It's anything but shallow. Okay, cool. So I would say let's just, you know, let it surprise us with the rest. We agree that we like the lyrics. So let's take this to the second phase. Now that we have the lyrics, we can head on over to Uberduck AI. So let's do AI Generated raps, of course. And here we just have to find rappers, and then we find J. Cole, because this is going to be a J. Cole track on the off 0.1% chance that you're watching this. J. Cole, we love you. Great music, and no offense to you, we're doing this as a fan tribute. Okay. Okay. So we picked text to speech because I believe this is a community generated voice. There you go. And Uber duck AI creators, the way this works, people can submit their own voices or train it on other people's voices. You can even do your very own. So somebody create. Yeah, I didn't know that'd be a fun second video, huh? So somebody created J. Cole here. And we're just gonna copy paste the GPT4 text into here. Only thing we have to do is remove these little parts. I could customize the prompts to do that, but really, it's no big deal. This is starting to look good. Okay, I believe we got it. And this part can be simpler. You literally just click a button, synthesize, and it's gonna create the voice. Gonna give it a few seconds. Oh, it's done. I was ready to lean back. Okay, so let's listen to this for the first time. Yo.

Okay, so it's not perfect, but some parts in there were really good, in my opinion. Yeah, a pro tip. If I were to do this, like, professionally, although I'm not a professional, I think I would just generate, like, 10 to 20 of them and then pick the best parts where it does a good job. But for the sake of this video, we're just going to go with this. Or do you want it to go again?

You could probably do this in any video editor. Okay, good. So we got a zip file here. Let's open that up. And inside we have one without drums. This is the one without the drums. Okay, this is just the drum. So we need one more which is without the vocal. Right. To take out that vocal before it starts. Okay, so I think we got it. So the vocals and the instrumental. So let's just download this. We know already what it did and that it's good. Okay, so let's start. Let's start by dragging some of this into our editor. This is just the one I'm comfortable with. So we're going to use this. Let's get the video tracks out of the way. Okay, so now we can mute this and we'll just have this. Okay. And then the second part.

Name the audio. Like, drums, vocals.

Okay, so this is the song. So the first thing we wanted to do is. Wanted to take the drums and actually move them ahead, right?
