Most of the AI image generators are not very good with text. They either ignore it, mess it up, or make it look weird and unnatural. And that's a shame, because text is such an important element of design and communication. Imagine if you could create images with text that looks realistic, beautiful and expressive. Well, guess what? There's a new player in town that's changing the game. Ideogram AI Ideogram AI is a new AI image generator that specializes in reliable text generation within images. It can create images with text elements in various colors, fonts, sizes and styles. It can also combine text with icons, illustrations and other visual elements. And the best part is, it's free to use the founders of Ideogram AI are Mohammed Noruzi, William Chan, Jonathan Ho and Chitwan Saharia. They are all former Google Brain researchers who co authored some of the most influential papers on image generation and natural language processing. They launched Ideogram AI in August 2023 with a whopping $16.5 million seed funding from major investors like A16Z and Index Ventures. The team behind Ideogram AI is renowned in the AI world. They've spearheaded significant AI projects at institutions like Google Brain, UC Berkeley, CMU and the University of Toronto. Their main AI work includes denoising diffusion models Imagen Google's system for turning text into images Imagen Video Wave Grad for voice Generation Here are the match lineups.

Meanwhile Imagen is a Google system that can produce detailed images based on language prompts. This system combines a pre trained language model with a denoising diffusion model to generate images that align with the text's meaning and design. And this foundation is essentially what Ideogram is built on. Now, when comparing Ideogram and Midjourney, each platform has its own strong points. Ideogram AI is great at generating text. So if you're designing a brand logo or adding a slogan to a picture, a Ideogram AI gives you text that makes sense and fits the situation. This is something many AI image generators struggle with. Meanwhile Midjourney is excellent at creating very realistic pictures. It's good at showing detailed, clear images. So if you want pictures that look real and sharp, Midjourney is the way to go. But it's worth mentioning that even Though Midjourney's pictures look great, it doesn't do as well with generating text. Sometimes the text it creates doesn't make sense or fit the situation. To sum it up, if you want realistic pictures, Midjourney is the best choice. But if you want good text in your designs, go with Ideogram AI. It's fascinating to see the results. For instance, the AI crafted a captivating poster for a movie using a chilling font and shade. The design even incorporated elements like splatters that resemble blood shadows and a moon, making it look professional, akin to what you might see in cinemas or on platforms like Netflix. That's just a glimpse. With this AI tool, you can make a variety of text based images. Their website showcases more of their capabilities, such as generating images with text in various languages and styles. However, it has its challenges. Occasionally it might produce images that aren't up to standard or even misspell its name. While it's amusing, given its purpose, it's essential to remember that AI isn't perfect. The Ideogram AI team is undoubtedly refining their tool to address these concerns. Still, I believe Ideogram AI is revolutionizing AI driven image creation. It stands out by emphasizing text generation, providing a unique tool for graphic designers and others who need specific text focused visuals. They're also keen on sharing their vision. They shared an image on the platform X, previously known as Twitter, which read we believe typography is the most powerful form of visual communication. Our mission is to empower anyone to create beautiful typography with AI. This post garnered attention from industry leaders like Ian Goodfellow, the creator of Jans, and Sam Altman, OpenAI's CEO.
