Short YouTube commentary (creator: LARRUZ) describing new AI features added to Google Maps. The speaker highlights the ability to search the content of user-uploaded images attached to place reviews, and the integration of Google Lens into the Maps app to provide contextual pop-ups when pointing the phone camera at subjects (useful for travel).
So why is nobody talking about the fact that Google introduced AI into Google Maps? You can now do things like search for the content of all the images in Google Maps, meaning you can search for little details and photos that people attach to their reviews of various locations around town. Is it just me or is that kind of insane? Here's what else is new Google Lens in Maps, and they're using AI to enhance your understanding of the surroundings. So you can literally just whip out your phone, use the camera inside of the app, and when you point it at a subject, all of these little pop ups are going to show up. That's actually incredible, especially when you're traveling.
