Open AI's New STATEMENT Just Shocked Everyone (MAJOR UPDATE!)

Sam Altman was abruptly removed as OpenAI CEO and Greg Brockman immediately resigned. The video analyzes tweets and leaked statements to explore theories about what happened: an internal coup over alleged AGI breakthroughs, trademark filings for GPT-6 and GPT-7, or disputes over the company's shift toward explicit AGI focus.

So we do have a lot more developments from last night that far surpass what we initially thought we did know about the Sam Altman OpenAI situation. And I'm going to break down every single piece of information because there are a lot of things that are being tied together that paint a very interesting picture that you all should be aware of, including statements from Sam Altman and Greg Brockman himself. So let's jump right in. So a couple of hours yesterday night after the video was published, you, Greg Brockman actually released a statement. He actually said, after learning today's news, this is the message I sent to OpenAI team. Hi everyone. I'm super proud of what we built together. Since starting in my apartment eight years ago, we've been through tough and great times together, accomplishing so much despite all the reasons it should have been impossible. But based on today's news, I quit genuinely wishing you nothing but the best. I continue to believe in the the mission of creating safe AGI that benefits all of humanity. Now, the reason this is very interesting is because this is a fundamental change of what's supposed to happen. If you've been paying attention to how this move was supposed to happen, essentially on the OpenAI blog post, you can see that it does say, as a part of this transition, Greg Brockman will be stepping down as chairman of the board and will remain in his role at the company with reporting to the CEO. So that means that Greg Brockman was like, okay, whatever decision was made behind closed doors, they haven't given us the real reason. But whatever decision was made and whatever internal conversation they had, Greg Brockman clearly didn't agree with it because if he did, he either would have stayed on the board or would have stayed at the company. We can see from his choice to instantly quit after receiving this information that Sam Altman was gone. For whatever reason there is, it makes sense that it seems like Greg Brockman and Sam Altman have agreed on whatever it is and clearly don't agree with the board's decision to remove Sam Altman. Now, what was also interesting was Sam Altman tweeted two more points that we'll get into right now. He tweeted, I love you all. Today was a weird experience in many ways, but one unexpected is one that it is sort of been like reading you own eulogy while you're still alive. The outpouring of love is awesome. One takeaway. Go tell your friends how great you think they are. And a eulogy for those of you who don't understand. That's what people read when you're passed away. Now, some people have speculated that this tweet is referencing talking about Ilya and what people have talked about. And I think this is a little bit reaching if I'm being honest. It says the first letter was of each word in the first line is Ilya. And of course, as you know, that is a reference to Ilya Sutskeva. And the current theory now is that apparently Ilya Sutskeva is one of the main members that helped out Sam Altman from OpenAI. Now another point that is constantly being made on Twitter is one that is not making sense to me. Something that constantly people are saying is that the problem with OpenAI and the problem with Sam Altman was that there was founder disagreement in terms of OpenAI moving too quickly. We've seen multiple statements about OpenAI shipping far too quickly and the fact that Sam Altman was more focused on his own fame, his own personal gain, and pushing the company to a more profitable business that is focused on revenue rather than going towards AGI. And I could not disagree with this statement anymore because if that was the case, I'm sure they would have just spoke to Sam Altman and about that and kept him on the board. It's not as if Sam Altman just simply does everything by himself. I'm sure there are joint decisions that they do make together as a team. And what's worse about this is that it's not like this decision was made over a long period of time. This decision was made very abruptly, so abruptly that it caught Microsoft off guard. You can see right here that it says Microsoft is a key investor in OpenAI. It was blindsided by Sam Altman's exit. And this is true because Microsoft's share price actually fell a decent amount, wiping billions of dollars off its trading value. Which means that Microsoft had no idea that this was coming. And of course, Microsoft is the largest partner of OpenAI. And I'm sure that if they were making this decision over a couple of months, then they would have surely, surely spoke with Microsoft about how it going to transition and how they could make this announcement without affecting the stock price of Microsoft. In addition, Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, tweeted, as you saw at Microsoft Ignite this week, we're continuing to rapidly innovate for this era of AI with over 100 announcements across the full tech stacks, from AI systems, models and tools in Azure to Copilot. Most importantly, we're committed to delivering all of this to our customers to while building our future. We have a long term agreement with OpenAI with full access to everything we need to deliver on our innovation agenda and an exciting product roadmap and remain committed to our partnership and Tamira and the team together will continue to deliver the meaningful benefits of this technology to the world. So I mean from that statement we can see that they essentially just needed to say something because Microsoft's stock price was falling down. A lot of people were starting to lose confidence in this partnership and he had to post this tweet. Now what's also interesting was that Greg Brockman actually tweeted this. He says, Sam and I are shocked and saddened by what the board did today. Let us first thank you all to the incredible people who we have worked with at OpenAI, our customers, our investors and those who have been reaching out, who are still trying to figure out exactly what happened. And now this is what I'm saying, this statement. We too are still trying to figure out exactly what happened. That is not a statement. That comes from repeated conversations. If you are the CEO of a company, the cto, the CEO of a company and you get blindsided, this is exactly what you going to say. If you get fired or if you get blindsided by something, you're going to be confused. This wasn't your standard departure. Something happened and they had to make a snap decision or there was clearly some kind of coup or hostile takeover. It says last night Sam got a text from Ilya asking to talk. At noon Friday, Sam joined a Google Meet and the whole board except Greg was there. Ilya told Sam he was being fired and the news was going out very soon. And then at 12:19pm, Greg got a text from Ilya asking for a quick call. And then Ilya sent a Google Meet link and Greg told that he was being removed from the board but was vital to the company and would retain his role and that Sam had been fired. And around the same time OpenAI published a blog post. And as far as we know, the management team was made aware of this shortly after, other than Mira who found out the night prior. So you can see that this was pretty much a disaster and a very quick decision. The CEO wasn't even made aware, one of the presidents and the co founder of OpenAI was only literally made aware only a couple of minutes before the blog post went out. This doesn't make sense at a corporate level. Clearly something is really wrong at OpenAI and we want to figure out all the details. That's where we get into a couple of next points that could give us the information that we were seeking. So one of the most important theories that there was was this one. Okay, and I'm going to talk a little bit about this and the video evidence that I do have to support this because. Because there was a lot of information going around about this and we even covered this a couple of weeks ago. And there were several statements from Sam Altman himself that do support this theory. But at the same time, it is just a theory. It says theory AGI, asi, and that's artificial general intelligence. Artificial superintelligence has been achieved intelligently by OpenAI. So Ilya hit the panic button and staged a coup. Evidence. Elia tweets, if you value intelligence above all other human quality, you, you're going to have a bad time. And then Sama proclaims, Four times in the history of OpenAI, the most recent time was in the last couple of weeks, I've gotten to be in the room where we push the veil of ignorance back and the frontier of discovery forward. Getting to do that is a professional honor of mine. So we know that Sam Altman did say this. I'm going to show you the video clip where he's on stage and talking about literally in the past couple of weeks, there have been some major, major things happen at OpenAI where we've made those major breakthroughs that are going to make that major leap to the next model. Now, there was also something that I only saw that had 100 likes. So I want to show you guys this tweet. It's not really a tweet, it's a tweet of a webpage. But it's interesting information because it also does support this claim. So take a look at this clip where Sam Altman talks about this like.
Four times now in the history of OpenAI. The most recent time was just in the last couple of weeks. I've gotten to be in the room when we sort of like push the front, the sort of the veil of ignorance back and the frontier of discovery forward. And getting to do that is like the professional honor.
And from that clip, you can clearly see that they were onto something. We don't know what they found, we don't know what they had, we don't know what they managed. But clearly this happened in the last couple of weeks. Now, what else happened in the last couple of weeks? And this was a piece of information that we just haven't been able to get around to because there have been so much AI news that, that some of the stuff just honestly gets buried. And you have to pick what is the most trending story or else our videos are going to be an hour long. And you can see here that it says, don't read too much about this. Just trademarks need to see, though. And we can see. Guys, this is crazy that the trademarks for GPT6 and GPT7 were filed on the 20th of last month. And that's interesting because that means that clearly they're at OpenAI. They maybe, maybe they made a breakthrough or something and they were like, okay, it's clear that GPT6 and GPT7 are going to be some insane models and we might be releasing them soon and we're going to need to trademark these asap. Now, maybe the trademark dates don't mean anything. Maybe it's just phishing. But at the same time, I do find those specific dates to be within the last month very, very interesting because it was only recently that we got the GPT5 trademark. And remember, they recently started saying the trade GPT5 was going to be out soon. So that is why I think that's very, very interesting for them to say that GPT5 is now released. Now, remember this theory about AGI, AGI has more credence to it, okay? And I think you guys have to understand how powerful this company actually is. OpenAI, yes, they're a company that makes a product like ChatGPT, but if they do have AGI or ASI or anything even remotely close to that level, I would argue that they're definitely one of the most powerful companies in the world. And two weeks ago, we made a video about how OpenAI quietly, very quietly and sneakily updated their core values. Okay? They secretly just changed the webpage. They didn't tell anyone, they didn't talk about this. And we made this video. Okay? So I'm going to include some clips from this video because they dropped a bombshell. I uploaded this video saying, look, is anyone paying attention to this? Because I just couldn't believe it. I was like, why is this not a big deal? AGI is what everyone wants. And. And the company that is the closest to AGI that probably has already done it has made these changes. And not only that, in that video, I talk about how their founder, Sam Altman, was literally talking about how they've achieved AGI internally. He was literally joking about it. So watch some minutes from this and then we're going to get back to some of the. More stuff, okay, that was recent with Sam Altman's firing that you should know about. This article says OpenAI has quietly changed its core values. Now, core values are that of a company where a company is going to be focusing on, okay, so for example, if you start a company selling cupcakes, your core values are going to be maybe quality cupcakes, healthy cupcakes, and just great customer satisfaction. And for OpenAI, the core values have been changed. Okay, you can see ChatGPT creator OpenAI quietly revised all of the core values listed on its website in recent weeks, putting greater emphasis on the development of AGI, artificial general intelligence. And if you don't know what AGI is, Sam Altman has described AGI as the equivalent of a median human that you could hire as a coworker. And essentially why AGI is going to be a game changer is because AGI would be a one size fits all for pretty much any computer system or any system where you could have a human in it. So any AGI would fundamentally not only change the Internet, but pretty much change the world as we know it. I mean, AGI could literally go ahead and create you a video, it could go ahead create you a song, it could go ahead and do research for you and interact with many different applications. AGI will change the world. So it goes on to state that OpenAI's careers page previously listed six core values for its employees. Okay, so they show and give us a link to this screenshot page. Well, it's actually the Internet Archive. So this is the screenshot of this page. This is the Wayback Machine. Essentially what you can do is you can use the Wayback Machine on any website and any web page to see if there were changes made to that page by flicking through the dates. And of course, this is where the core values are right now at that time in September 5, 2023. So you can see it's audacious, thoughtful, unpretentious, impact driven, collaborative and growth oriented. So this talks about bold bets and aren't afraid to go against established norms. They're welcoming diversity of thought, they're not deterred by the boring work and not motivated to prove we have the best ideas. Then of course, deeply about real world implications and applications. And of course you can see continuous learning and growth, growth. Now what's interesting is if we go to that same web page today, okay, and you'll see that this is completely changed. Okay, now this core value section, you can see that it now states at the top, AGI focus. We're committed to building safe. So you can see right here that currently the core values have shifted to AGI focus. And it says, we are committed to building safe, beneficial AGI that will have a massive positive impact on humanity's future. And anything that doesn't help with that is out of scope. So that is crazy, because they've put this as the first point, meaning that currently something has changed to OpenAI to where they've decided that AGI is going to be their North Star. And by North Star, I mean their focal point for where the company is going to go. Which means that systems like ChatGPT and Dall E3 are going to potentially buy be subparts of this AGI. And what's interesting is that they said anything that doesn't help with that is out of scope. So maybe this means that OpenAI was working on certain things and certain products that weren't necessarily going towards AGI but may still be AI based. And now they've decided, you know what, we're not going to be working on that anymore. We've now decided to just be focusing on AI AGI. So that is why this is a secret bombshell that they secretly dropped, silently updating their page. And we now know that this is pretty insane. Now, further on in the video, I'm going to talk about some more leaks which were absolutely incredible, that show us that this could have potentially been predicted by a few Apples tweeted AGI has been achieved internally. Now you might be thinking, who on earth is Jimmy Apples and why does his statement on AGI even matter? Jimmy Apples, if you didn't know, is essentially an OpenAI leaker. We aren't sure of what he is or what he does, but we do know that he always does have early information about GPT4 or whatever OpenAI is currently working on. If you're wondering about any skepticism regarding his statements, previous statements around OpenAI have come out with 100% accuracy. For example, he actually tweeted and got the Release date of GPT4 a week before it was even announced. Meaning that he definitely has some kind of inside information. Now, many sources speculate that this Jimmy Apples guy is someone that spies on people near the OpenAI headquarters. Now, you can see that there's a 10 minute video which goes into this and they talk about how Jimmy Apple says that let's pick a random date on March 14th. And then of course, GPT4 is of course announced on that exact date. We know that this person, whoever they are, definitely has some inside information. Now back to the statement about AGI. He said that AGI has been achieved internally on September 18, 2023. Now, what's crazy is that a week later, the CEO Sam Altman tweeted that AGI has been achieved internally. Okay? And he tweeted this on a certain post. And then what was crazy was that he actually edited this comment and said, obviously this is just memeing. When AGI is achieved, it will be announced and it won't be announced with a Reddit comment. So at the same time, it seems that Sam Altman is aware of this OpenAI leaker and. And he understands that whatever is going on behind the scenes, that Jimmy Apples is likely to know a decent amount about it. So at the same time, I find it super interesting that Jimmy Apples goes ahead and says AGI has been achieved internally. Then little bit over A month later, OpenAI start to talk about AGI and state, based on the information from that video, their main AGI has been achieved. I don't think they would tell everyone if they had it, because if AGI being achieved is the equivalent to getting the nuclear bomb so figured out, then I definitely think that they would hide this and pretend that it's delayed for a bunch. Maybe we're wrong, but I think the fact that they filed those trademarks so quickly and then all of this has come out, I definitely think it was a coup of some kind. But we could be completely wrong. But don't forget that Sam Altman did say that only four times in the history of OpenAI and the recent times. In a couple of weeks, I got to be in the room where we are on the frontier of discovery and we push that barrier forward. Now, something interesting that Sam Altman did say was that if I start going off, the board should go after me for the full value of my shares. And essentially, the reason this makes so much sense and is so funny is because Sam Altman doesn't own any shares. Now, check out this clip from the Senate hearing where Sam Altman was testifying to Congress about how you should regulate AI safety.
Okay. You make a lot of money, do you? I make no. I paid enough for health insurance. I have no equity in OpenAI.
Really?
That's interesting. You need a lawyer. I need a what? You need a lawyer or an agent? I'm doing this because I love it. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Thanks, Senator Kennedy.
Although Sam Altman, of course, would have a vested interest in this, it's clear that his motives aren't going to be financial by any means necessary. Now, this tweet is very good because it did actually predict the future. He said if this was actually a safetiest coupe that kicked Sam out. The most great talent will leave OpenAI will become rapidly irrelevant. The $80 billion company over time will go up in smoke and I'm really excited to watch the race to replace it because that is an impossibly stupid decision. And the first thing is already happening. Most great talent is already leaving. We already saw that Greg Brockman has already resigned, even though they wanted to keep him on. And we saw that three senior OpenAI researchers resign as the crisis deepens Three senior researchers at OpenAI resigned Friday as the artificial intelligence developer suffered fallout from the firing of CEO Sam Altman and sudden resignation of President Greg Brockman, according to several people with a knowledge of the situation. The departures are a sign of immense disappointment among some of the employees after the Sam Altman outster and underscore long skimmering divisions at the ChatGPT creator about AI safety practices. There was also this new article that essentially states some new information. Now it says Brad Lightcap, an OpenAI executive, told employees on Saturday morning that the company had been talking with the board to better understand the reason and process behind their decision, according to an internal message I obtained. Now this is from the New York Times and it says we can say definitively that the board's decision was not made in response to malfeasance or anything related to our financial, business safety or security privacy practice. This was a breakdown of communication between Sam and the board. Once again, it's still very vague. So it's another theory that you could possibly give credence to. And it says put the pieces together. On November 6th we have OpenAI Dev Day with new features of build your own ChatGPT and more. Then November 9th, Microsoft cut employees off from ChatGPT due to security reasons. And then of course OpenAI announced no new ChatGPT signups. And the reason that they stated for this was the fact that there were too many people using the platform. And that was probably true because OpenAI actually went down several times when I was using it and this was something that didn't really happen prior to that day. Then of course you know the firing comes out and it says put the threads together. One theory the new release had a security issue, leaked a bunch of data and it wasn't disclosed. But Microsoft knew about it. This wouldn't be the first time. In March there was an incident where users were seeing the private chat of other users and then prioritizing getting to market, overruled security, privacy testing. And this most recent release caused something Much, much larger. Now, I do think this theory does have a little bit of decent information, but I'm not sure that that would lead them to fire Sam Altman, because Sam Altman isn't the entire company. He doesn't just make one decision without the rest of the other members realizing exactly where it's going and what's going on. So then, of course, we have this statement from Ilya Sutskever, and he said, you can call it this way, Sutskeva said about the coup allegation. And I can understand why you chose this word, but I disagree with this. This was the board doing its duty to the mission of the nonprofit, which is to make sure that OpenAI builds AGI that benefits all of humanity. And when Sutskeva was asked whether these backroom removals are a good way to govern the most important company in the world, he answered, I mean, fair. I agree that there is not an ideal element to it. So it's clear that there was some kind of disagreement going on whether or not this is the real statement. This is, of course, from an internal meeting that the team did have. Well, of course, there is still definitely more to the story that we aren't being told right now. We have a situation where I don't know if these guys are going to go to Google DeepMind, I don't know if they're going to go to Apple. That seems like some of the most possible places. I don't think they're going to start their own LLM company because building your own LLM from scratch and trying to catch up to where ChatGPT is is just impossible at this time. But this does mean that Google could really take the lead here. And for those of you who do not think that OpenAI is going to go down or is going to maintain its lead, you never know what's going to happen in business. And I think with many companies, if the CEO does leave an integral part of the company, the company isn't going to fall off a cliff tomorrow. It likely will take a couple of years before the cracks do start to show. That's something that we do know and we've seen happen time and time again. So as always, time will tell.
