Take Your Midjourney Prompts to the NEXT LEVEL with this FREE Tool

A short YouTube tutorial by LARRUZ demonstrating the Midjourney Prompt Helper: an interface that augments simple image prompts with styles, lighting, camera effects, artists, color palettes, materials, aspect ratios, depth-of-field, quality/stylize settings, seeds, and image-to-image inputs. The hosts walk through a running example ("a cat and a dog singing karaoke and a microphone"), iteratively add and adjust options, show resulting images, and advise adding options sequentially because too many modifiers can make outputs diverge from the original intent.

Today I'm going to show you a powerful tool with the help of which you can take a prompt that generates cute images like these and add some really fun effects to it and get images like these or these. You get the picture. So let's get started. The tool we're going to be using is called Midjourney Prompt Helper. And as the name suggests, it will help you create better prompts for midjourney. The main purpose is to simply add other effects too your existing prompt. So for example, you can add different styles. Lighting, camera effects, different artist colors, materials. You can define the size, depth of field, and so on and so forth. There is all even an option of doing image to image. And you can even include words that you don't want in your prompt. Okay, so in this video we are going to explore all these options. Let's start with a very simple and basic prompt. So my initial prompt is a cat and a dog singing karaoke and a microphone. So let's run this. While it's running, let's go and explore some options here. So the first one is style. For example 16 bit, four bit anime. There's comic book drawing. You can add these into your prompt.
All right, so here's the result of our prompt.
These are pretty cute pictures. It added a microphone as we asked it for. And then different types of cats and dogs. Looks pretty cute. Let's add some style to our prompt. So first copy your prompt here. Go to styles. Let's say we start with the anime. We'll see that it adds some options at the end. Run this again.
Here are the results.
It did add some effects, but not really like NMS style. As we asked it. Here is the original image and this is what generated with the modified prompt. Let's explore some other options. Okay, one thing is you can actually combine multiple styles as well. So for example, with anime you can select anything else, but I'm going to remove that. So you'll see that with continue you'll see the zero. Let's say I want to add cyberpunk with comic book. I think I saw comic book somewhere. Yeah. So let's say then it will add cyberpunk and comic book styles. You will notice this one. That is basically the width that it's assigning to different styles. Anyways, let's copy this. Let's go to mid journey again and let's run this. While it's running, we can explore other things. So for example, there are different lighting options. So ascent, backlight, Backlight. I think it's Repeated candlelight, dark sunlight, desk, Concert lighting. I think we can try this concert lighting because they are both of them singing. There are a whole bunch of options that you can see here.
Okay, so here are the results.
A combination of comic book and cyberpunk actually have very drastically different results from what we had before. So for example, this was the original one, and there doesn't seem to be any dog at all. So that's kind of strange. Let's remove the cyberpunk style, because I think that's not appropriate for this one. Okay, let's look at some lighting. Since there's singing, we can add concert lighting. So now let's look at it. Comic book and concert lighting. Okay, copy the prompt. Then let's run this and we can look at some other options. In the meanwhile, you'll have to experiment with the different combinations.
So here are the results.
It did add some concert lighting. I think I did a pretty good job. It's pretty neat in this image and in this one, the microphone is missing the one. Okay, so I'm going to replace the style with. Okay, so let's do cartoon. Okay, now we can export the different camera effects. So there are. There's a 360 panorama DSLR disc you can use for portraits, then microscope magnification. So there are a whole bunch of options. Let's use ultra wide angle. So now the prompt adds lighting. I change the style to cartoon and then wide angle. So copy this. Let's run it again. So while it's running, let's go to other options. So there are different artists. If you're looking for a specific style, you can select those that will be added to your prompt. So I'm not going to do this. And then there are different color palettes. So these color maps will modify your output image. For some reason, it's actually ignoring one of the. So for example, here you have a dog, then cat. A cat. And this seems to be tiger. Let's make our prompt pretty funky. So I'm going to use these neon purple colors. And actually one thing you will notice that with each options that you select, you have this slider. So it will simply increase the weight of that specific parameter. So I'm keeping everything to one. But if you want more weight to a certain parameter, you can just increase this. So let's copy the prompt. All right, let's run it. In the meanwhile, here are different materials you can actually select. So that will give a different look to your resultant image. So for example, car plastic. If there are people involved, so you can use the skin wooden and so on and so forth. So these are pretty nice option. You can play around with those.
Here are the results.
As we added more and more options, you will notice that the prompt has become a lot more complex and it started to deviate from the original prompt that we used. So you need to be careful with with that. It's always a good idea to just add things sequentially and just remove them if they don't work out. So I'm going to remove this neon purple color and let's simply keep rgb. Okay. And we didn't really assign any weights to the cat and dog, but it's just an example. So I'm going to leave it like that. You can define the size if you do it to default. So it's going to be a square with one to one aspect ratio. But then there are other options like square vertical. So let's say if I select so it adds this ar the aspect ratio. So let's keep it to default. Then there are two options for depth of fields, Full focus or shallow. That's a blur focus. Then there are some other options whether you want to have the best quality. So that will take a lot more time. But let's add this and let's run the prompt again. Now, by adding all these options, things have gotten really interesting. It actually started completely ignoring the first part of the prompt. For example, this is the only one which has a cat. But the rest, I don't know what this was trying to do. Then there's a microphone in a person. As I was saying, be thoughtful about what you're adding, not just add things for the sake of adding, because it's going to have an impact. I actually went ahead and did another experiment. So I assigned different weights to the cats and dog and with the same prompt. So now this is the result. So things are getting really interesting. Let's explore some other options available. So there is stylize. If you keep it to the lowest one, it will be less artistic if you keep it to higher. So the model will start deviating from your origin prompt and it will take more creative freedom. Similarly, you have seed. Each generated image has a random scene assigned to it. But you can keep it fixed if you want a chaos as well. Now the good thing about this one is you can actually do image to image. So for example, all you have to do is click an image so that becomes part of the prompt. So there's going to be uses. Inspiration can add negatives here. So what terms to add for example, you have buildings, trees or people, so on and so forth. Whatever you don't want in your image, you can put them here. Last but not least, they have guides on how to do prompt engineering. So for example, for this cinema. And they actually break down their prompts and go over like the details of how to create the powerful prompts. So I would encourage you to check those out as well. In summary, it's an amazing tool to help you with your prompt building. Just be careful, don't add way too many options because that will deviate from your original prompt.
