For the past decade, tech companies have chased a dream. Invent a gadget to replace the smartphone. After so many years of using our phones, we've forgotten how much friction they actually contain. To do almost anything on your phone, you have to take the device out of your pocket, look at it, unlock it, open an app, wait for the app to load, tap between 1 and 40,000 times, switch to another app, and repeat over and over again. And the promise of AI is to abstract all those steps and all that friction out of existence. All you need to do is declare your intentions like play music, navigate home, text Anna, tell me what poison ivy looks like and let the system figure out how to get it done. Alright, in this video, we're going to take a quick look at some of the coolest AI gadgets on the market. Some of these have been super impressive, so let's get started. The first one we have is the Bird Buddy. It is a bird feeder, but here is the magic part. It uses artificial intelligence to identify which species of birds are visiting. The built in camera captures images of birds as they stop by for a snack. And the AI technology analyzes each image to determine the species. If the AI isn't entirely sure, it will provide you with a list of likely choices through the app so you can make the final call. You can even watch a live video feed from the camera, allowing you to observe the birds in real time and capture photos, photos and videos of your favorites. Bird Buddy transforms birdwatching into an interactive and educational experience right in your own backyard. Now, forget bulky weight machines. This AI powered device brings the entire gym experience home in a sleek AI backed package. It's called Tonal and it uses digital weight resistance instead of physical plates, allowing it to simulate up to 200 pounds of resistance. Whether you're into arm workouts, leg day or core strengthening, Tonal can handle it all. With its versatile range of exercises and accessories, what makes Tonal truly stand out is its AI coaching system. It tracks your progress, learns your capabilities, and automatically adjusts the resistance levels as you get stronger. It's like having a personal trainer built right in, guiding you towards your fitness goals with personalized recommendations and encouragement. Now there's this new smart trash can called Hooly from Italian startup Ganiga. It's pretty interesting. It has a camera inside that uses AI to figure out what kind of trash you're throwing away and then sorts it into different bins for recycling and stuff. Sounds cool, but I'm a little skeptical about how well it can tell everything apart. Apparently it also keeps track of what you throw away and and tries to give you tips on recycling better, which is kind of neat. It can even suggest the best route for taking out the trash, which seems a bit extra to be honest. They've got different versions for indoors and outdoors and different sizes too. I guess it's a cool idea, but I'd have to see it in action to know if it's actually useful or just a pricey gimmick. This comes from the French startup OBO World. It's a virtual human resources assistant that can cut the time required to screen candidates for jobs. The company says it is not replacing HR recruiters, but saving them 80% of the time when hiring as the virtual assistant screens candidates for the jobs, sourcing candidates to see if they are interested in the job, have the right qualifications, and checking to see if they live in the same district and even if they are still looking for a new job takes up a lot of time. Oboe scans through CVs to create a scoreboard of the candidates that fit fit the job criteria within a matter of minutes. It then tells the Real Life recruiter which are the best candidates. The prospective employee then receives an email with an invite for an interview with obo, which asks the same questions such as location and other basic questions to each candidate. The Real Life recruiter will later interview candidates and can jump in at any time to take control of the application process, but this AI has been slammed for having biases, which is a spirit especially harmful when recruiting for a job. Taking the idea of a smartwatch, Invoxia released a gadget to make dog and cat collars smarter. Mini Tails is a groundbreaking AI powered gadget designed to make pet collars smarter, providing comprehensive health and activity monitoring for dogs and cats. Weighing just 36 grams, it attaches to any existing collar. Mini Tails tracks various metrics including sleep, running, walking, eating habits and vital signs like breath rate and heart rate. This data is accessible through an app which also provides alerts and location tracking via GPS and LTE connectivity. The device uses advanced biometric sensors and deep learning algorithms to achieve a 97 to 99% accuracy rate in monitoring respiratory and heart vitals, helping to detect stress, aging and potential pathology pathologies. Additionally, it includes geofencing capabilities, alerting owners if their pets wander beyond designated areas. The AI in Mini Tails not only analyzes health data, but also creates personalized pet reports and answers questions about the animal, enhancing the overall care experience. Invoxia's Mini Tails, recognized with a CES Innovation Award for AI, also features heartprint technology for detecting conditions like atrial fibrillation, ensuring early intervention for serious health issues. Available for $99 with a subscription starting at $8.30 per month, mini Tails represents a significant advancement in pet health monitoring technology. Neurologics, a startup based in Canada, have got this incredible tool to measure your health. It can evaluate your health using a selfie that just takes 3:30 seconds to take to identify physiological and psychological indicators. It employs emotion artificial intelligence, which means that it is able to read your sentiments. The data that is obtained, which can measure your heart rate, breathing and blood pressure, can then provide you with information regarding your risk of developing diabetes, if you are having a heart attack or even your skin age. To reduce snoring Motion Pillow can distinguish snores from other noise disturbances and even recognize different types of snore frequencies. It works by then gently inflating the memory foam pillow so that you move your head and stop snoring. Because snoring is caused by sleeping in a position where your airwaves are blocked, it is operated via an app so that you can adjust the settings as well as give you the data of how long you snored. It can even play back a recording of the snoring so that you get an insight into what your part partner puts up with. Pretty comfy it gotta be your favorite AI tool now. Flappy is the latest smart pet technology which has motion sensors and AI vision technology to spot when your feline friend tries to bring small animals into the house. The Swiss startup says the AI powered cat door isn't perfect in every instance, but can correctly identify whether your pet has prey in its mouth in at least 90% of cases. If the AI in Flappy detects a gift, then it locks the door and won't allow the cat inside until it drops its prey. The company says the goal is to teach cats not to bring the creatures into the house. One of the founders did admit that a clever cat could drop the mouse, get the door open and then pick it back up and make a run for it. But that on the whole, it should work. It can also detect a microchip and ensure the cat only opens for a specific pet. Foreign.
