You know, I was a chronic hustle mode kind of guy and I want to share my experiences and mentors I've.
Met along the way to help you.
Reframe things to be the most effective as an entrepreneur. I wish I had this guidance and insight when I was younger, so that's what I'm doing here for you. Please share and enjoy.
Hey, hey, it's your boy, Joe. And in this quick episode, which I'm actually doing from my car, from my iPhone, and I'm doing this kind of on purpose in a way to show you how you can take podcasting really wherever you go and create content on the fly. And this is a podcast episode that's definitely been a request at this point because following up with the episode earlier in the week, right before this, I was breaking down how podcasting has been this integral piece in not only my marketing and business over the last 13 years and seven years with Hustle and Flowchart, but with a variety of clients and colleagues I've had and have helped to establish a system for them to integrate podcasting into their, their marketing and business goals. And something that has been coming up with everyone I've worked with and, and more now that I'm making this more public, that is the fact of the time aspect of podcasting and the fact that we're all busy people. I'm busy. I. I've got, you know, a wife and kid. Kid coming as well. So two kids in and life is full. It's. It's that. That's the case for everybody in, in whatever aspect in your life. And the. When I talk about podcasting and how it can be so integrated in your business, it doesn't mean it needs to take over your life or even add more time. Ideally, it's going to help you scale by saving time. And that's why I'm making this episode to go deeper than the one I did yesterday. And also remind you that I have a free workshop that I'm hosting. It's tomorrow at the time of this recording, which is Friday, July 28th at 12pm Pacific Time. So that'd be 3pm Eastern. That is a free event that you can go to. And go pause this right now and head over to hustleandflowchart.com Pod Smart, that's P O D S M A R T. And that will take you to a Zoom registration page totally free. And and you'll be all set up for that workshop. And I want to go through the six pillars more or less of this system and realize that they're all integrated. So this is going deeper than the previous episode. That was a little bit higher level. And this is now talking about this actual podcast system that I have used for years for this show, but also a lot of my clients have used individually on theirs and it's always been customized. But this is the first time I've been plucking out the exact systems from this new revamped way of running this podcast and how it integrates in marketing with the key factor of saving time. Because back in the day I had a bigger team. I also had a business partner in Matt Wolf and to be honest, he ran a lot of the systems and productions and all that stuff. Well now I'm doing it with a smaller team and a lot more automations and now leveraging things like AI tools and automations, workflows, CH checklists, templates and all these different things to help scale and automate a lot of these processes. That's exactly what I'm going to be sharing on this workshop. And also as you probably have heard right after that I'm rolling out a six week live training, basically intensive, that is customized to this small group. It's a cohort, 15 people in their max. And it's also layered in with a variety of one on one calls. So if that is something that speaks to you, and I do have some fast action bonuses still, basically throwing in an extra one on one call with you typically charge 500 bucks for that. I'm throwing that in there. So if that's interesting to you either way, join the workshop tomorrow. But email me at joe@hustleandfluechart.com and that is it. So I want to get into this right now, now that those call to actions are out of the way. But I wanted to put that all out there so you knew exactly where this thing is going and how I can best serve you if this speaks to you. So the podcasting system, I'm calling this podcasting to profits because it is literally a marketing and business goal machine if you construct it correctly. And there's six pillars that I am going to walk through and And I'm happy to share a PDF. I actually have that as well. It's totally free and it outlines this. And this is what I'll be diving in on the workshop. So I'll just go through the six pillars really quick and then, and then I'm going to dive into each of these little like segments of each and I'll do it one by one. So the first one, a lot of people feel like you need to have a podcast. And I talked about it last time, you don't need to have a podcast. You don't even need to have experience. But there is another option for you which is going to other the other virtual stages, these other podcasts that are already existing out there. So the first pillar here is guesting on top shows. These are different podcasts that already exist in your niche and this is where your target audience already resides. They're already paying attention to the host over there. So why not go to their audience and speak to them and present yourself in a way that's going to become very attractive to the people listening and then you can give them a next step. And that could be something like a lead magnet, something free, a checklist, ebook, an audio book, something that is of value. That's the best next step on their journey. And then of course, if you have a podcast or other things, you could point them to that too. But the key is to capture that audience while you have their attention, knowing that that's the best audience for you because you could self select them. So I have a system for that. It helps you get referrals. This Dream 100 process is really incredible. I'll share that on the workshop as well, because it's a little deeper here. But the whole goal is that you can actually automate a lot of these referrals and introductions to top shows in your industry. So this is the way that you can gain instant influence. And it's tapping immediately into an audience that's already there so you don't have to build one yourself. This is how you can create a very engaged audience and it's something you can quickly do. This is like a quick win where you can lock in guest spots and it's better to do it sooner than later and because there's sometimes a delay for when episodes go live. So doing this as the very first step is always key. So that's step number one, going on top shows and guesting. Number two is launching or at least optimizing your podcast. So if you already have a podcast, awesome. We're Going to walk through a sequence of episodes to build out that, build your credibility up. It builds your authority. It gives a lot of value. It's more of a journey that you take people on that then can lead them to going deeper in whatever your, your offers are, your services, your products, even affiliate stuff. There's a lot of ways to monetize, which we'll get into in a moment here. But number two is really launching something of your own or optimizing. So if you don't have a podcast, this is how you get a podcast up quickly, a quick launch. And they're very high quality episodes. These are ones that you could do yourself. You can have guests as well. But these are solo episodes, kind of like what I'm doing right now. So number three is setting up a lead generation system. This is something that you want to have integrated throughout everything you're doing. And this is of course how you capture the most engaged people. Because podcasting, as we talked about in the previous episode, it's the most engaged platform I've found in content marketing. Doing this for 13 plus years, doing content and layering that with marketing and direct response and ultimately conversions. That's what we want to do with this. We're not just podcasting to podcast. There's intent behind it. So this third pillar is all about Legion. So we want to capture, we want to follow up with them with a smart sequence, indoctrination, get them to know, like and trust you and then get them to ultimately, because they become fans over this process. When you integrate this and when you have emails, when you have episodes, you're, you're having them now start to share and subscribe and spread the word for you. And ultimately they're purchasing from you repeatedly because that's the idea. You're creating these fans, these people that really embody what you have because you're speaking to that engaged audience. So that's number three. And we'll dive in, into some of these tools and things that we use for that. You know, I'll just say right now, convert box is incredible for doing that. So that's one of the many tools and things you can help automate along this, this process here. The fourth step that I like to go through and that I'll dive in on this workshop again. And just to pause and remind you, go register for that at hustle and flowchart.com pod smart and all right, so number four, amplifying this, amplifying your content, it's all about showing up on platforms that are where your people are already paying attention. So sure, you want to show up on Apple and Spotify and Stitcher, even though that's kind of going away that platform. But there's a variety of podcast audio platforms to show on or show up on. But how about video? How about all the social media channels out there? How about in your email list? How about all these other ways that you can get not only multiple platform exposure, like showing up everywhere, but also creating it in a way where you're going to bring in evergreen attention and leads to your content. So things like SEO, there's some strategies I'll share that help your content get discovered by a targeted audience with more intent. So like when you show up in Google and all the search engines, which this has been one of the main drivers of growth for this podcast, it's all down to organic traffic and referral traffic through SEO. So I will share some workflows and some templates and a really cool tool that helps you do that and do it effectively repeatedly. And so yeah, amplifying content, you can't skimp on that. All the post production stuff is highly valuable. Number five is monetizing. So that's making money from your content efforts. And who doesn't want to do that? The cool thing with podcasting is that there is a bunch of direct ways to do that. We talked about it with your own offers, obviously with your lead gen flow, you can then ultimately lead them to a purchase conversion point. So you could do it that way. Affiliate offers are a great way of layered in through content over the years. And that can be more of an indirect way. There's, there's so many other products, services, consulting group coaching like this. I mean there's a lot of things that you can layer for monetization and the idea is to create multiple streams of it. And, and when you do that, it's, it's through the integration of all these things I'm talking about. So that's why monetization is this fifth pillar. It's really when you have these systems working in the workflows that keep this thing, this engine running and compounding, that's when monetization really becomes more valuable. And then you can start stacking multiple streams on top of each other of revenue. So it's an evergreen thing. And again we're building a system that lasts for years. It's not like a one and done thing here. Now the sixth pillar here is really focusing on community. And these are the folks that will find you from a variety of places but you know, all the way from pillar one, like we talked about here, is guesting on top shows. That's honestly where you'll get some of your best fans and some of your best tight knit communities because they're coming from a trusted podcast that they, they like. And now you've been elevated and essentially your authority now because you were an expert on that guest podcast, that episode, and they've came and followed you to your community, you said something great, you gave them a nice call to action and next step to take and now they are becoming indoctrinated into your world and ultimately they're becoming super fans of what you have. And again they're, they're now starting to share, they start to talk about you, your brand is recognized and more and more they become a customer for life, a loyal customer, a, a referral, a partner of yours, and maybe even a partner in general. That's happened so many times. So the community is like the glue to podcasting and when you focus on them being the glue of everything you're doing, that's when podcasting really lights up. And it's, it's becomes way more enjoyable too because it's not just talking into a microphone or a phone in this case, it's actually a two way conversation. And it makes this flywheel of sorts that you're creating very repeatable. It becomes a strategy and systems and all these processes that you can replicate over and over. Not only one industry, but you do it in a variety different podcasts. I mean, if you're that kind of serial business owner, however you want to work, this thing, this podcasting system works. And the key thing is to create a repeatable system that helps you reach your, your marketing, your business goals, your branding awareness, all these things. It plays into it, but the key is to have something like a framework and these assets that you can then use and not consume all your time doing the work. And that's my goal with this workshop that I want to share with you again. I'll shout it out one more time. Hustleandflowchart.com Pod Smart and that's going to be a live workshop tomorrow, Friday, July 28th.
