I'm dean jackson, he's joe polish, and this is the I love marketing podcast.
Hey, everybody, it's Dean Jackson and Joe Polish. And here we are.
Yes, here we are. So I'm going to be sipping on, like, some sort of smoothie here that's filled with all kinds of goodness.
Your money on your mind, right?
Well, here. You know, it's been a very interesting month since the annual event. I'm still kind of like, whoa, what the heck just took place? Because, yeah, it was so darn good. And then yesterday, me and. Me and Cameron Harold went to a. An ASU college football game.
College football game.
No, I've been. I just can't remember the last time because as anyone that listens to I Love Marketing knows, I don't really follow sports fan. Well, it's not, you know, not that I'm not a sports fan. I mean, I guess I'm not, because I don't really follow sports. It's just that when I was a little kid living in Alpine, Texas, a small town, I had this kind of just sadistic, not very good human being as a. As a little league coach that would force me to hold the baseball bat in a certain way, like straight up. And I could never hit the ball that way. And, you know, back then I was a shy, introverted, skinny kid that, you know, had just didn't really have a very, very good childhood. I mean, my mother had died when I was four, and so we moved around every two years. So here I am in this new little town, you know, don't have a lot of friends, trying to get established, join, you know, this little baseball league. And this, you know, this guy would just single out me and pick on me. I don't know why. And I was not. I wasn't a jerk. You know, I ended up becoming more. More vocal and more rebellious a few years later as I got junior high at the high school and all that. But then I became a total freaking tyrant. But, you know, I was just this little kid, and he would force me to hold the baseball bat a certain way, and I could not hit the baseball. And I ended up quitting the team because I just couldn't play the game the way this guy would try to force me to do it. And that trigger literally ruined my liking of sports. And so from that point, and it's amazing how much a person can influence you negatively, we just recently did that episode with Neil Strauss on his book the Truth. And if you've read the entire book, of course you spent after that episode. And of course I helped Neil on that book. I told him he can choose to leave me anonymous or mention me. And he gave me the choice because he was very respectful because I shared a lot of stuff with him about the whole recovery community and about addiction and sex addiction and all kinds of stuff. But basically he goes through his childhood and he goes through a lot of influences. And so for people that have never delved. I'm not getting the word with a D right. Anyway, there's a lot to be said in that episode. As a kid, just completely, you know, set the whole landscape of how I would view sports. So I appreciate sports.
From gentlemen as a very special I love marketing Thanksgiving episode. We've got Coach Johnson on the line with us. Come on out, Coach Johnson.
You know what's funny is I actually have become friends with quite a few professional sports players and I just, you know, I. But I just never really followed sports that much. When I had my carpet cleaning business, I used to clean the carpets for a few of the Phoenix Suns players. And so during that period of time in the early 90s and it was cool. I mean, they were doing really well. You know, back in the Charles Barkley days, I was, you know, following, you know, basketball for a period of time. And then, you know, when, when I would hang out with Bill Romanowski, I would follow football a little bit and that, that sort of stuff. But you know, it's, it's the game yesterday. The is mind boggling to me. Normal for people that follow sports is that I have a lot of friends, we both do, that are super successful, incredibly busy entrepreneurs and they not only know what's going on with their team, but like dozens of teams. And it seems to be some of them, they know what was going on decades ago. And I'm just like, you know, it's amazing. Now people say to me like, Joe, how can you remember all these quotes and how can you reference all this and that? So I guess it's kind of the same thing. It's just when you don't do it though, people often are like wonder like, wow, how does that person know all this? But I guess, you know, it's where you put your time and energy. And the thing that I thought was funny, which I think is kind of cool, is I mean from a sense of belonging and just, you know, community involvement and from monetization in an economy and engagement. I mean, sports are great. You know, when I went there with Cameron, the thing, he's all decked out.
In his afu gear and the whole.
Thing, literally, it seemed. I'm not kidding you, it seemed like 98% of everyone in that entire stadium was dressed in their teams. I mean, I never seen. Even when I went to, you know, Randy Garn took me to a. I think a Cardinals game a couple years ago, and then last week I went to a Phoenix Suns game. They were. They were playing Denver because Harvey McKay has season tickets and he's my neighbor and he was basically, you know, whenever he can't do it, he offers me the tickets. And so I gone a couple of times. And it's, you know, it's awesome because he's got the whole setup with the valet parking, you know, the food and the backstage, you know, backstage. But anyway, you know what I'm talking about, so that, that's cool. But, you know, in terms of me knowing what the hell is going on, I really don't. It's all fascinating to me now. What does this have to do with. I love marketing. I mean, man, if you can present your services or your business and get people as. As engaged as they are in a, you know, in a sporting event, then you've. You've built a tribe. You've got something going on.
I think that's true. You know, that whole. There's something about the way people gather behind a common cause, you know? Right. Well, that's something. When you look at, like, what we've experienced with people, you know, just organically, these. I love marketing meetup groups because your, you know, I love marketing is such a great rallying thing. You know, it's like, these are my people. If you love marketing and you're in a place with a meetup group where you're going to meet people who love marketing, you're among your people, you know, it's that common element.
Yeah. I just stumbled into the I Love marketing group on Wednesday, earlier this week. It's at the Scottsdale Public Library. Charlie, you know, holds a. Holds a group up there. And so literally I walked in and they had no idea that I was going to show up. And I showed up about 30 minutes later because I had just gotten done filming some videos with Dean for the live cast that we had done for the.
Yeah, yeah, that. That was one thing I wanted to talk about. You've got that you had the live cast at his studio. What happened with that? And I know there's. I know you've got the video online, too, that people can go and watch it, but you've done a few of these live casts and we did an I love marketing live cast from one of your Genius Network meetings where I was Skyping in from Florida here. But talk a little bit about that because you've done a few of these now. So what's been the learning that you've had from those?
Well, it's kind of like pay per view, although people don't really pay. It's a free livecast, but it's happening live. So there's a sense of excitement that doesn't seem to generate the same level of engagement and involvement when you're presenting. I mean, you can use Livecast to educate people that ra clients or you can use it as a way to sell what it is you're selling. So, you know, Dean Graziosi is the one that talked me into this last year. He said, look, man, you've got all these incredible speakers that are coming to Genius Network. Many people can't afford to join 25k. They're not yet at a level in their business where they're making over a million dollars a year. And then there's the selling it out sort of thing. And then there's the, you know, we couldn't make it because of scheduling. There was just already had something pre done. And so this, this year's annual event, we had 330 people attended. Yeah, they all, they all paid. And the main room only holds 300 people. And so we had it sold out a month in advance. You know, we literally turned away people at $10,000 a ticket. And what we did with, with the live cast, now it's impossible to, you know, do a, an hour or 90 minute live cast. This one actually, Gosh, I'm trying to know the exact time, but we went over 90 minutes and we played some clips of, of the videos of people that attended it. I've got a folder here. I should have prepared this better when we're doing this because I can pull it out and talk about some of the people we showed clips from. Okay, so here I got this sheet here. You know, I'll actually go through it. I'll share the livecast timeline to teach kind of what we did and how we did it. And if anyone wants to watch it now, I don't even know the exact date we're taking it down. It's by the time we put this episode up, there might be five days left, maybe a week. So if anyone wants to watch this, it's really good. It's genius. Genius networkevents.com geniusnetworkevents.com livecast L I V E C A S T Livecast. Now, if you want to just order the package, it's $1,700 or three installments, if you want to do the installment thing. And if you just want to see the order page, it's geniusnetworklivecast.com order geniusnetworklivecast.com what I will tell you, though, is you should actually go and just watch it, because then you can see if this entices you to want to buy the package or see it. Now, no matter what business you're in, most people can actually use a livecast. And it is a great way to educate people. It is a great way to engage with people, and it's a great way to sell. By the time we're all said and done, I'm not going to give the exact numbers. People can go guess, but we're doing really well with this thing. There's 3,700 people registered to attend. Now, everyone doesn't watch it live during the thing. People sign up for it, and some people watch the replay. So basically, we scheduled it for 90 minutes. We had a total of 10 videos that we could have used. But we gauge what we're going to put up on the screen based on, you know, how much dialogue we're having in between. And we did it at Dean Graziosi Studio. You know, Dean is phenomenal at selling on video, and he's got a great studio.
I mean, give me a break.
Yeah, yeah. And Dean, of course, has been in Genius Network for going on 10 years. He was at my very first meeting. And there's no affiliate thing. There's no partnership. There's no split. I just did something really nice for Dean just because he's been helping me with a lot of stuff, although I've helped him with a ton of stuff, too. I mean, we just mutually help each other. He's just a great marketer, and I'll wait till this big thing happens before I make it public. But it's pretty crazy. It totally blew his mind. So we start with a welcome and an intro where it's me and Dean talking for a few minutes. Then we have the video clips. Now, when I say 10 videos, we had 10 videos of people speaking, but we also have video clips of testimonials, people talking about things, and I'll just kind of go through it. So we showed the way that you do a live cast is you just kind of outline, you know, what are you going to show, what's the outcome that you want? And in this particular outcome, the outcome was to show people that weren't able to make the annual event some of the presentation clips. So it's kind of like a long trailer coupled with dialogue and then doing Q and A at the end in order for people to see that there's a really valuable package that we're offering here. And here it is, and here's the guarantee. And it's a sales event. Just like you would write a sales letter the same way that you would run an ad, the same way that you would speak and sell from the stage all the different ways that you would set up a sale. It's just doing it live on the Internet, and we're playing it live on YouTube.
Beautiful high def. And it's just like watching TV. I mean, now with everybody, with Apple TV and with anything else, people can watch it on their regular tv and it looks just like you're watching something on. You're watching something that would be a regular network broadcast television show that. That's what's amazing about the technology now.
And so you take Mike Koenigs, who's another, you know, genius network. He loves live casts. He does them all day long, and he teaches people how to do them. So if someone really wants to just get into the nitty, gritty, technical stuff, you know, he'll teach how to do it. But I'll tell you, like, without really watching and studying one that is successful, and I can assure you the one we just did is very successful. So someone wants to watch this and just see what we did. And I'll tell you, like, Dean is the one that he. Dean loves to sell. So Dean is pitching my program for me. I mean, he can't help himself. So it's, you know, I mean, he just, like, I just kind of sit there at times and just let him do a pitch, you know, because we go through the program beforehand. We had, you know, the program created. We picked out the package. Yeah. I mean, I can either explain what's in the package first or I can just go through the timeline. But you know what?
Yeah, go through the timeline because I think there'll be lessons in how you. How you orchestrate it. And it all builds to offer. Right. So let's deconstruct it. That would be valuable.
Yeah. Oh, and by the way, before we kind of get into this, I'll mention it at the end, please remind me. We've got the Joe Volunteer Indiegogo campaign going on, and right now, I didn't even look this morning, but it's like $34,800 and something dollars was the amount. I just put up a video on Facebook where we're offering, you know, we need to fund this at $50,000 on Indiegogo. And I mean, I. This is not a business that I'm making money off of. This is a app that's being built. Chip Franks runs the whole thing and it's basically just to help people. With Joe Volunteer, he listened to episode 186 on I Love Marketing. And if you've not heard that episode, that's where it all started. It's lessons me and you picked up at, at the Abundance 360 event with Peter Diamandis. And one of the things I talked about was if someone could actually create a website, an app, a system, a platform that would link people that want to volunteer because it helps them psychologically with organizations or people that need it. And the idea came when I was in a nursing home and I saw a very lonely old man. And it just made me think of, wow, he may not have a wife, she may have passed away, may not have family members, and here he is, is in an assisted living home, just really sad and really lonely. And it made me think about how many millions of people all over the world, third world countries that are just so poverty stricken and all the different forms of human suffering, from animal shelters to children's hospitals, to recovery centers to disaster relief, to just all the things that are going on and how you've got so many people that want to volunteer, but how difficult it is. I mean, because, you know, someone wakes up one day and they don't have, you know, they don't have to go to work and they're, you know, looking at, what can I do today? I can read a book, I can go to a movie, I can exercise, I can do. You know, a lot of people would love to volunteer, but where do I go and how do I do it quickly? And the bureaucracy of that is set up in order for some people to go volunteer. It's easier for some people to get a job than it is to go volunteer some places that really need it. And so Chip Franks heard that episode, registered a URL. Joe volunteered, named after me. But the whole meaning behind it, you know, because the idea, you know, he got for me came from, you know, he just said, any, any average Joe, male or female, can be a volunteer. How do we just set it up so it's just easy. And so the current, the current idea is to, well, it's not even an idea. Anymore. This is now evolved. Yeah, it is happening. Where, you know, part of it is building this really useful, really awesome app and doing it right. And if, if you go to joevolunteer.com, you can see the Indiegogo video and the campaign. But November 30th is the last day of where we need the funding, so we need 15,000 more dollars. And so I just recorded a video and put it up on Facebook. And in a nutshell, I said that if anyone just wants to donate $15,000, we will get give you your own episode on I Love marketing with me and you, Dean, where we will let them tell their story, talk about their business, ask them questions. Now, granted, you know, there needs to be some discretion on this. If someone is in some sort of weird business, like, I don't know, I gotta be careful how I say this, but let's just say you're an unethical scumbag and you want us to do.
Scumbags.
Yeah. Yeah. That's a nice way of saying it. Yeah. We obviously can't do an episode on something that wouldn't go against our value system. But granted, if you have a cool business and you're adding value to the world and you're entrepreneurial and you have a cool story to tell, if you want to make a $15,000 contribution, we'll not only give you a one hour consultation with me and Dean, we'll give you your own episode on I love Marketing where we'll put one up. And also my good buddy Jay Abraham, after he saw the, he sent me a text saying, anyone that contributes $15,000, he would give them a half a day of consulting, which he currently just raised his consulting rates to a hundred grand a day. So basically for 15 grand, someone get an episode with us. Half a day of consulting with Jay Abraham and their own episode on I love marketing. Anyone that contributes. And then I put on the message, whoever contributes the first first thousand dollars gets a signed autograph T shirt from Richard Branson. And the second person gets a J. Abraham tie because he has his own line of ties. And you get one of J. Abraham's hard drives, which contains tens of thousands of dollars of all of his seminars, all of his stuff for the first 10 people that contribute $1,000 or more. And anyone that contributes $5,000 will get an hour consultation with J. Abraham plus the hard drive. So if you want to make those contributions, just go to joevolunteer.com or just go to indiegogo I n--I e go go.com and type in Joe Volunteer.
And there's so many.
Great.
That's a cool thing. I think this will be. Let's really just get that handled. I mean, we did that at Genius Network. We started. I think it was Mikeanix who started Mikanix.
Yep.
Mike Koenig said, let's just get this handled. And how do people raise their hand who would be willing to contribute $1,000? And you know what? Now that I think about it, there were more people that raised their hand than have contributed on Indiegogo. So if you're listening to this and you raised your hand, get over there and get up your thousand dollars here. That's the right.
Exactly.
But let's do this. You know what I'm talking about, right?
Yeah. So.
Let'S do a $500 offer, too. We're just putting the finishing touches on the yearbook for episodes 151 to 200. So I'm going to say this. Let's say for the first 10 people that contribute $500. Well, I'll send you all four of the yearbooks so far. That's every single episode that we've done for the first 200 episodes. Four big, beautiful yearbooks for us. So if you first 10 people contribute $500, we'll send you all four of those volumes. So let's just get this handled because it's going to do such a good thing in the world.
No, that's awesome. Just let us know when you make the contribution that you're an I love marketing listener. And if you make any of those contributions, just so we can keep track of the order in which they come in. Just as soon as you make a contribution, we should be able to know just from the campaign and Chip following it. But I'm going to give you Chip's email. It's chip. C h I p volunteer.com j-o e v o l u n t e e r.com chipovolunteer.com and if you make that contribution, we'll be able to keep track of it and we'll be able to send you the yearbook if you happen to live overseas and it's a high shipping rate. All that we ask is that, you know, we add on, like a shipping fee for you because we're. Again, we're not. This is not something we're making any money out of.
Yeah, exactly. You're right. So all of that money is going to go to Joe Volunteer. You're not going to charge any more for the books and they're expensive. Expensive to make, but such a good cause. So we're going to cover that for you.
Perfect. Well, that is great. I love that, Dean. So yeah, so that's it. That's the Joe volunteer thing. And this has all been going on in the midst of, you know, doing the annual event, running this campaign, telling people about it there. I mean, everyone loves the idea. I just can't wait. And which is why it's so important for me to get this thing funded. Because, you know, I mean, once this thing is really working, we believe it's going to transform.
Oh yeah, no, absolutely. I'm excited about it. And the last episode, if you haven't heard that one, the last episode that we did last week was an episode where we were talking about the, you know, the before unit for the. For Joe volunteers. So we were going through the thinking process of how to lay out a blueprint for this that's applicable to any business. So good. If you want to listen to that too.
Perfect.
Perfect.
Yeah. So going back to the timeline. So I have the timeline and I'll just kind of read through it. So you say you're going to do an hour 90 minute call. So here we have, you know, we have a note section which is we have 10 videos to use. We may want to use all of them and it's entirely up to me, so it allows me to be flexible. Then the timeline. Welcome. In an intro, Joe and Dean, we planned that being five minutes. We talked a little bit longer. We had 14 video clips. They averaged two minutes each. Some were 45 seconds, others were three minutes. So that totals about 28 minutes worth of video. Then we have four commercials and testimonial reels averaging 45 seconds. So we have approximately three minutes of those. Then we have four testimonials, average minute and 40 second each, approximately seven minutes and 20 seconds. And then we have an intro and outro of each video that's two to three minutes each. So that's anywhere from 26 to 40 minutes. And then soft close, we have three of them. And those are two minutes each equals six minutes. Now that's just a guideline. I mean, you don't have to. That just gives us a perspective of what we could do. And then the real close, we give ourselves an average of approximately 10 minutes in order to do that. So that totals about 90 minutes using the above timeline, give or take. And so part of this though is you're on a tightrope. I mean, you don't. We didn't script this thing. We're simply working off bullet points and it's me and Dean bouncing back and forth together. And a lot of this is. It could be very uncomfortable because you're literally on a tightrope and you're not only having to perform and entertain, but you also. You're there to create value and also make a sale. And I mentioned early on that we got a product, so it's not like we're sneaking it up on people. I think some people really don't like telling people that they're going to sell something and they position it like you're going to do a Q and a workshop and it's going to be really valuable. Then they sneak in a pitch and all of a sudden people are like, oh, now we're trying to sell something. Whereas me, we don't make a big deal about it in the beginning because you have to build value first. If you immediately go straight into the close, then people are like, well, what the hell are we getting here? Part of the showing the videos and then us speaking about it is to really have everyone that watches it. We want them to walk away saying, I really learned something here. This was really valuable. That was a really good perspective. But a lot of Genius Network members watch the livecast that sent me a text or sent us an email saying, that was an awesome livecast. It reminded me of being at the event, blah, blah, blah. And it's like, these are people that were already there and are getting the videos of this anyway, because they were there, but they watched the live cast and found it valuable. So that's always my barometer, is when people that have already seen the stuff before or already clients are already getting what it is you're offering because they're paying 25 grand a year for it. So that's a good test. So this gives people an opportunity that again, the Campion Genius Network, they couldn't make the event or they tried to come to it when it was already sold out. This gives them an opportunity to have a part of it. Not the whole thing, but it's not priced as the whole thing. So we don't give all the presentations that were there. But it's not just buying videos. We're actually giving people a business, which I'll kind of explain what the offer is after, you know, I go through what the. What the. What we did. So what happens first is that we play a video intro from Dan Sullivan, and Dan talks about courage and confidence, and then me and Dean, you know, talk about it. We talk about Dan, founder, strategic coach. And then we play a video from Brendan Burchard and he talks about, you know, five big practices to, you know, to get 50 million views. And we play a piece of that and where he challeng people to spend, you know, $1,000 a day on Facebook. And he talks about how, you know, how well it's worked since he started. He did the presentation last year, which we also had as part of last year's live cast. And then we show a clip of me Interviewing John Paul DeJoria on, you know, hiring people. And then me and Dean talk about him. And then after that, we play a clip of JJ Virgin talking about how she made a million dollars with her year of being in 25K. And you know, she mentions no problem you can't solve with the people in this room. And it's about a mind shift change. And then she talks about how she's an introvert, but, you know, she's now got an eight figure business and she started all of it when she was, you know, $500,000 in debt. And so that's. We play that clip and then we go back to playing video clips and we play a clip from Cameron Herold, who actually went to the ASU game yesterday with. He wrote the book Double Double. And he has this process called Vivid Vision, which is infinitely more effective than a mission statement. And he talks about if you were in a time machine, you know, and you could go three years from now to 2018, you know, what would that look like? What would you want your life to look like? Because you can give people tactics and you can give them strategies and you can give them methodologies, but if they don't get the vision down, they're simply not going to. What happens is people buy a bunch of books and courses and they go to seminars and they just keep buying, oh, how to do webinars or how to do Facebook ads or how to build a podcast. But if they don't get the vision part down, you can get some of the best strategies on the planet, but you don't integrate them into anything that ends up really working. And you just got a hodgepodge of really great kitchen utensils, but no idea how to cook with them because you just got a bunch of tools, if that makes sense.
Well, hopping around. I mean, that's really. You just said something there. I'll sidebar with. Somebody just introduced me to Seneca, who's the philosopher, and I've been reading his book, Letters from a Stoic Yeah.
Now you're gonna be. You're gonna be a stoic now.
Well, I think it pretty much aligns with. With. With me. It resonates, you know, but.
Yeah.
You know what I mean? It's like that.
Well, no, it's a great. It's a great book too.
Yeah. I really. What were you gonna say?
No, no, no, go ahead. No, so I'm curious of what you're gonna say about it.
Okay. I'm just. I'm getting in my Kindle here. I'm gonna go back to the. Do the beginning here, because in the very first chapter, the very first thing it was something that he said was that was really kind of talking about what you were saying about jumping around, you know, and not really taking. Applying anything in a way, you know, and it was. So I'm looking for this quote here from it because he talks about the idea of not jumping around, but to look for the things that are, you know, go deep with a few things rather than going. Rather than hopping around, you know, all the time, not really doing anything about what you're. What you're doing, you know? Mm.
Yeah, totally. Well, and then that. That's. That's. That's what most people unfortunately do. And so when. When I. When I do a genius network event, there. There's. There's a beauty of being in that room is most people that are there have kind of gone through the trenches. I mean, a lot. I mean, there's the people that reach success there. It's not been easy. I mean, most of them have worked their asses off. There are a few exceptions where people right out of the gate just hit it. Right. They were very well clear on their vision. They didn't zigzag massively, although everyone zigzags. And they built an elf business kind of from the beginning. And. And more than anything, I think even what I've tried to do, even what we hope is one of the outcomes of people listening to I love marketing is we're slashing years of learning curve off of their learning of an application of direct response marketing and marketing in general. Hell, I mean, even getting someone to jump on the direct response train versus the brand building image, institutional marketing, traditional follow what everyone else is doing, thinking that's the way to do it. Trane will save people's lives. I know for a fact we've saved people from going bankrupt. And we've guided people in so many ways just simply by informing them of using this type of marketing. The point is listening to it and putting this information out there is really designed to shorten the learning curve and help people with, you know, creating an easy, lucrative and fun business versus a, you know, hard, annoying, lame and frustrating business. The elf versus half sort of thing. That being said though, we can share and we do the best strategies all day long, but it's really up to the person listening to them to apply their vision into and to work out where they want to go with it. You know, because it's, it's just, you.
Know, it's kind of like, you know, part of that. We've been talking about this idea of return on genius and taking a long term approach to it. And this is. I found that quote that I was going to read. It said, the primary indication to my thinking of a well ordered mind is a man's ability to remain in one place and linger in his own company. Be careful, however, lest this reading of many authors and books of every sort may tend to make you discursive and unsteady. You must linger among a limited number of masters, thinks, thinkers and digest their works if you would derive ideas which shall win firm hold in your mind. So it's kind of, you know, he goes on to say, food does no good and is not assimilated into the body if it leaves the stomach as soon as it is eaten, you know, there's nothing. So, you know, that whole idea of really picking an environment and that's really a genius network, picking an environment and being, really investing in being a part of that for the long term, being around and really engaging with all the mindsets and the people who are part of that rather than kind of, kind of jumping around to this event and that event and this event and never ending. There's an unlimited supply of events, right?
I don't know where I first heard this from. If it was from Dave Kekich or Halbert or J. Abraham, I'm not sure. But it was the whole concept of people should spend less time reading books and more time mastering a few and taking one particular book. So the reason I throw Cameron Herald into the mix in doing the live cast is it's very strategic because I know that the audience of people are probably already heavy consumers of seminars and how to information. And they're clearly students, they're curious, they want to learn. They wouldn't be signing up for this thing, they wouldn't be spending their time watching it if they didn't want to get better. And one of the things that I want to throw in there is, yeah, we're Going to share with you some incredible concepts. You're going to hear people's, you know, $250,000 ideas. You know, we have 15 multipliers that we call them. That is part of the package. There's Alex Charfen. He talks about the personality type. Brendon the path to 50 million views and $50 million. Cameron Herald vision, Vivid visions. Align your world.
He was at the live event. Yeah.
And so by having that in there, it just makes everything else make sense because it's like, oh, okay, so if I, if I learn to do, if I do a vivid vision, then all of these other speeches and all of these other things that are being offered as part of the package actually fit. But without it, it's, you know, it's still an incredibly good package. But it's just this makes it that much better. So everything that we've selected and how we not only are selling this package but how we are assembling the packaging and delivering it to people, we want it to be useful, not just another hodgepodge of stuff. And that's. So that's the reason that out of all the different videos that I could have shown, the reason we did that, Cameron Herald, that was just kind of my backstage explanation of why we added that. And then, then we showed a video of Lisa Sasevich where she talks about there's no transformation in your life or business until someone says yes or no. And so she has a thing where she talked about the seven figure love your life blueprint and how you have to start with the end in mind by having an irresistible offer. And then we show a clip of me talking to me interviewing Tony Robbins and Peter Diamandis. And in this particular clip, it's Tony talk and he talks about firing his bad customers and not putting up with assholes. It was great. And then we go and we show a video clip, a case study. Harry Massey, which is a really short, like 30 second video.
I like Tim a lot.
Yeah. Really, really super nice guy. And he's. It's so funny. It's slipping my mind supercharged. His is a documentary that he's going to be putting out soon that he videotaped me doing all kinds of crazy stuff from floating in float pods to cryonic chambers to meditation to just talking about different stuff that I do that's been helpful to me.
Guinea pig. You are. It's so great.
Oh, yeah. I do all kinds of crazy stuff. And then. Yeah, so that's just a really short one. And then we go into a close and so during the close, we basically go through the program and I'll just give everyone a quick overview of what's in the program. Now again, go watch this thing. And by hearing me explain all of this, you will speed up the. How do you do a successful live cast? You know, by, by a year? I mean literally this episode of me just explaining this and then watching it, which will make it make all the sense in the world. If you don't go and watch it. A lot of this, you won't get it quite as well unless you are already an incredibly experienced marketer using Livecast. So the package we put together, the Genius Network experience, it includes 15 multipliers and experts reveal their top strategies to help build and grow your business. Captured directly from the Genius Network annual event, attendees paid ten grand to attend and they access the best wisdom, strategies and insights from to make it the best year ever. And then there's five additional best of videos to help accelerate the growth of your business. And up until now, we've never made any of these videos available to anyone except Genius Network 25k members and they've never been available to the public. So I picked what I considered five of the most insanely awesome videos and I pick all of these as a standalone, saying, would this video by itself be worth the investment in this package? And that's how we pick them. And they are. Then we have Genius storyboards, which these action guides which are basically created by the Draw shop where they take the presentations and they take the ideas and they condense them and illustrate the wisdom and the strategies so that people can have a single page that kind of explains how to take action. It just makes it a lot easier to implement what it is that's being taught. And then there's the four step formula to identify, attract and hire a level talent. And we have templates, checklists, blueprints, sample ads, sample position descriptions, and the video training on how to basically hire people. I mentioned a couple of things that Dean reiterated during the livecast, which is you can't turn ducks into Eagles. If you have ducks that are hanging around you, you're not going to turn them into Eagles. You literally have to to hire Eagles. And if you want eagles to work for you and you hire ducks, you're just going to constantly be frustrated and bitching and behind and never feeling really good about your team and about who you can rely on. We have a really great system that we have spent so much time over 20 years learning because I've had over 100 employees in the last 20 years. So you learn a lot about working with people. Genius Network toolkit. And so instead of just giving people presentations and ideas, we literally give people the tools that we use in the Genius Network meetings in order to work out what they need to do. And we have a tutorial that walks people through, you know, basically a step by step formula to becoming a better leader, better contributor and being a value creator. And then there's bonuses. And the bonuses are the Genius Wisdom collection. So it's volume two. It's updated for 2016 and it's, it's literally where I am. These great questions that I put together with JR and some with you and my team and then Jay Abraham and we asked very specific like what you know, these top entrepreneurs, you know, who, what are their best strategies, tools and resources for being a top entrepreneur?
It's a great, great volume. Yeah.
Oh yeah. Everyone that's read that thing is like my God, this is so damn useful. And so I mean that's the equivalent of like there's one to two pages for each entrepreneur that literally summarizes their best ideas, the best books they've ever read, you know, how to apply it. I mean it's just really good. And then discover.
That would be. The funny thing is put this down for a future episode. But we should do a, we could almost do a yellow pages roulette with that. Genius Volume 2. Just open up the page randomly and see what the ideas are that are in there. Just to show you how much is packed in there from concentrate.
No, you're right. Actually that's a good idea that we definitely can do. And then we have Discovering Genius audios with Jay Abraham and select experts where he interviewed you, John Benson, Brian Kurtz, Ethan Willis and me about the greatest insights and business breakthroughs as being part of Genius Network. And so there's like five hours of audio and then there's the Genius Network Planner. We have this six month productivity toolkit which I look at is not only like, you know, what are the best strategies to work on, what are the things that are going to make the most difference but you know, basically tracking your daily, weekly and monthly along with like really insightful questions. And it's, it's kind of like a combination of a marketing calendar, a gratitude journal and a strategy journal and you handwriting it. It's really powerful. And then we have the Genius Network Winners Find ways journal which is the journal we give out at Genius Network meetings and we give out to everyone that attended the event. And it says Winners Find Ways And I make comments on the live cast because I'm trying to, I'm trying to hit a nerve. I'm trying to, you know, what I want people to feel is disturbed by inaction. And during, like when we showed the Lisa Sasevich clip, you know, I say it's, you know, the yeses are the best thing you want to hear. If you're trying to sell something, the no's are better. The maybes are what will kill you. You know, the maybes. Everyone that's a salesperson hates maybes. Like if you want to make progress in your life, if you spend your whole life, oh, maybe I'm going to do this one day, maybe I'm going to do that. And I'm telling it for two reasons. One, I want people to make a decision. If I'm going to present something like this to you, we can invest in it, say yes, but if you're not going to invest in it, say no. But don't get into maybe I'm going to do it. We have to spend so much time and mental energy doing it. And I use the winners find way line because I said, everyone that's a winner in your life, everywhere in your life that you've actually won, you found a way to win. And everywhere where you're losing, because losers find ways. Also they find ways to lose. And I'm not talking about, like, accidents, because there are accidents in life. You know, certainly where things happen, you know, there's, there's positive accidents where, you know, it's really great you ran into someone or you ran into this opportunity, you picked up this book and you discovered something. And that discovery was like, you know, you accidentally found the gold mine. But there's also negative ones. What. But what humans don't realize is how much more responsible they are for their way to success or their way to failure if they simply just realize that, oh, there's certain things that I can do that are going to produce this and there's other things I can do that don't. So I love that line. Winners find ways. And we put it right on the journal and say, yeah, use this journal to just document all of the ways that you're going to become a winner. Winner. And all of the, you know, and you use it to capture, you know, and convert wisdom, insights, and daily thinking into greater productivity, clarity, and action. And then, of course, we make a kind of a funny joke. We have the Genius Network T shirt, which that alone is, you know, why everyone should invest in the package. Yeah. And then Dean, of course, is the one pitching this whole thing. You know, I'm kind of sitting there piping in here and there, but it's really funny when people watch it, you know, and I sit there and be like, well, you know, I. I mean, there's a side of me that just wants to talk is clear for anyone that is listening right now during the live cast. But there's also a side of me that's like, you know, I can either let my ego get in the way here and I can just pipe in, or I can say, this guy has sold so much, you know, like over a billion dollars worth of things. Let him do his thing. He understands my program. He's been in 25k for 10 years. You know, I mean, he kind of knows what we do, and it comes across as, you know, he says stuff that I can't even say without it sounding totally bragging. Then we offer two options. Option one is $1,700 to save the most on the package, or option two is three monthly installments of $5.97 each. And installments are a better option. We talk about also a special call that we're going to be doing. Me with Dan, my CEO, we're going to do a business growth implementation blueprint training where we're to literally have a special called with me and Dan, and we're going to talk about how to execute and how to get the most out of this package. So after someone invests in it, we're going to offer that package and then we go through the guarantee. And so the guarantee now at this point, we're telling people on the screen there, click on the button that says press to order. So if anyone's listening to this and they go and watch the live cash and they do this, literally by the time you are hearing this, this thing will be, I think, oh, God. From the time we're putting this up, I mean, let me think of maybe November, maybe November 28, November 30, 2015, depending on when they hear this, maybe they'll hear this. 25 years from now, this offer will be over. But basically, we tell people, go to. If you want to order, if you're on YouTube watching it, go to geniusnetworklivecast.com order because we actually had it running live on a YouTube channel, and then everyone else was on the page. So we give them out geniusnetworklivecast.com order. Or if they came back and watching it on the page, we're doing the livecast. So it'll just be an order button and then I go over the guarantee and the guarantee is, you know, you get started, 30 days, you have three. It's, sorry, I'll just read it. He goes, yes, I understand that by getting started today, I have a 365 day double guarantee. First, I can test drive the system for a full 30 days from receipt. If I'm not satisfied after 30 days, I can simply contact drop Joe's office, return all the materials and resources to Joe's team and I'll get 100% full refund of my tuition price. Plus the Genius Network Experience package comes with an additional 365 day guarantee. If within one full year I can honestly show you that I've put at least three strategies in place and I'm not satisfied with the results. I can contact your office, show the three strategies I've used and you'll issue me a full refund. It's that simple. I love that you walk your toes talk and you're this confident in what you do. And if I take action, this will be a multiplier and game changer for my business. So we put that up on the screen so people can actually see the guarantee. And then I reiterate, look, if you go through this and you don't find it incredibly useful, a 10 time, if you don't feel it's worth 10 times the investment, you got 30 days, no questions asked. If you decide to keep it after that, just show us that you've put at least three strategies in place and you can still send it back. So we give people a one year guarantee and then we reiterate the price again, which is one payment of $1,700 or three at 597. And then we will literally send them the physical package plus we will give them the online package. And if they're in another country overseas, there will be a slightly higher shipping charge because of, you know, there are some people that have ordered this in Germany and in Australia and I think we got one from Singapore and you know, we have a bunch from Canada and that sort of stuff. So we have that. And then, you know, the 15 multipliers include. I didn't finish that. It was, you know, Alex Charfen, Brendan Bashar, Cameron Herrel, Dan Sullivan, Dr. Daniel Amen. Change youe Brain, Change youe Life. David Bach about the six week sabb. Not just about business, it's about literally recharging.
Phenomenal. Great.
Yeah, totally. And then Dean Graziosi, we have his presentations on success habits. We have Harvey McKay, which is out, sell, outsmart out, motivate, outmanage, out, negotiate your competition. John Paul DeJoria how to be a successful entrepreneur. Lisa Sasevich. Boost sales using direct response offers. Mike Koenigs. Double your revenue in one year. How to build and get and monetize your audience with webcasts, live interactive online tv. Kind of like what we're talking about here. We have a presentation from Mike on how to do it. Insight interviews with Tony Robbins and Peter Diamandis. Sean Stephenson did a great presentation. And at the end we also played a really powerful clip from Sean that was hysterical and one of the best impromptu moments of the entire event. We played during the podcast. But that's different from his present that we actually give out as part of the package. Steve Sims, the tale of the handwritten note. And then Victoria labaume. Rock the room. Communicate with impact anywhere, anytime. She teaches people how to do TED talks, how to do presentations, even if they never do ones live. And so that was basically the package that we offered. So after we do that main close, we come back and play another video. A case study from Paul ebru, who's in Brazil. And that was about, I think that clip had a couple other people on. I think it was about two minutes long. And she talks about how the impossible is normal in this room. And then we play the clip from Victoria labom and then we play the clip from Dean Graziosi. And then we do another shorter close. And then we start doing. Then we start doing Q and A. And we do Q and A with people. And people have submitted questions like, which are answered there. If people want to hear the answers to these, we actually discuss them. But one person asked, what's the best time to quit a 9 to 5 job and devote all your time to your startup business? And that was from a guy named Eric. And so we answered that question. And then another question was, I'm just starting. Will this work for me? And we talk about, well, that depends. It won't run your life for you, but if you need direction, confidence, capability, clarity, if you need strategies, yeah, it's not a simple yes or no question. It'll work if you work it. And then one guy asked, what were some of the tools you used to build your new identity after being a dead broke carpet cleaner? So I answer that question and. And that was pretty much it. And then we did a final call to action and gave out the genius network livecast.com order for anyone that wanted to order. And then people ordered. They were Ordering on the first close and it went really well. And so far we've just been getting great feedback from everyone. It's invested in the package, but that's pretty much the backstage of how I did a live cast. So I've, you know, I've spent most this episode, Dean, just kind of going through the live cast and going through it.
But I'll, I mean, yeah, now that's valuable right there. I mean, you know, that's part of the thing that. What we're fortunate with the audience that.
We have of the people who are.
Who, you know, are listening to a podcast about marketing. We get the chance to show behind the scenes exactly how all this stuff works. I mean, we're not just out there kind of just teaching marketing. We're actually out doing it every single day and doing it at a high level. So to see the actual will, you can watch it happen, but then have the commentary of actually the psychology of how it goes around. I get a lot of comments about that. Like when we were breaking down as we were preparing for speaking in Toronto with 5,000 people going through that process. And people have said to me, that was a cool thing for them to see how we go through the process of preparing for it.
Right, right. Oh, and also, let me mention this too. See, these are legitimately real. Shutting it down. So after we have this up for a few days, because we just did the livecast earlier in the week, we, I mean, from the time we're doing this episode. When did we do this livecast? Five days ago? Yeah, yeah, it should. And so, you know, basically we only have it open for a couple of weeks and then we, you know, then it's done. I mean, we, you know, we'll have the card open and then people can buy it. And then if they. We did this last year too. We literally had. I can't remember the exact amount. I think it was something like 30, 31 or 33 people tried to buy it after it closed. And we literally get calls and people are pissed because they're like, well, I tried to. It's like, you know, if we, if we sell it to you now, I mean, a lot of marketers do. We are lying. You know, if we're using false artificial, you know, sense of urgency and we're not honoring that. So when we shut it down, we shut it down. Now there are times where you can open up the cart and you can offer different installments, you can do last minute things. And that's pretty normal in the launch model. And that Sort of stuff. But the worst thing that you can do from an integrity standpoint is if you actually tell people that they're only going to be able to get it for a week and then six months later people are still buying it. So you have to. It's a bittersweet sort of thing too because when you build up that pressure cooker and you build up that sense of urgency and you make a limited time offer, you have to stick to it. Because if you don't, then people, you're training them that. Oh, you're. No, no, no, no.
Almost about it. You have to stick to it.
Right?
Exactly.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that's it. Is there anything else you want to say about it? Because I mean, that pretty much covers it.
I think that's great. This has been an action packed episode. Lots of homework for people to do and we've got those. The kind of recap the go to indiegogo.com, look up the Joe Volunteer crowdfunding campaign and whatever level of contribution you want to make. There's some pretty incredible things that we talked about for people who are going to. If we can get one person at 15,000, if we can. Can get people at 5,000, if we can get people at 500, there's lots of. There's no reason that we can't close this out by Thanksgiving here. And doing good things, doing great things, this is going to be a big thing. I believe Chip is the guy to take it all the way.
Yeah, I agree.
Come to the breakthrough blueprint here in. In Orlando next month. Fingers crossed. He's trying to work that out into his schedule. But I'm excited about being able to be a part of that that way.
Perfect. No, I love it. And what I will say to everyone listening on behalf of me and Dean want to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving no matter what part of the world you're in, even if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving, wherever you're at, we appreciate you listening to I Love Marketing and hopefully you're applying it. You'll have a better business because when you have to teach it to other people. So we have a lot of people all over the world that are running I love marketing meetup groups. So that's awesome. And we'll put all of the links for Joe Volunteer and the different things that we mentioned on this episode on this episode on the site. There are some very this is one of the few episodes where there may be a timeline about ordering the package, but in terms of explaining how livecasts work, this will last you for a long time. That's it. Thanks, Dean, and we'll talk to everyone next time. Sam.
