7 Signs YOU have the Holy Spirit

In this sermon, John Humenik presents seven biblical indicators that the Holy Spirit is active in a believer’s life. He explains each sign—operating in the Spirit’s power, reverential fear of God, humility, supernatural wisdom and knowledge, living in holiness, bearing the fruit of the Spirit, and possessing a spirit of faith—backed by scriptural references, personal testimony of a miraculous healing, and practical application. The message emphasizes that while the list is not exhaustive, these attributes are common among fire‑filled Christians. Humenik concludes with a call to partner with his ministry, highlighting recent salvations and providing a donation link (humenik.com/partner).

Hi, my name is John Humenik. Welcome to the channel. I'm so excited that you're here to talk about the 7 signs you have the Holy Spirit. Before we get started, if you're not a subscriber to my channel, please subscribe now. And if you are, share this video with 3 people because I know it will bless them heavily. One of the things I want to talk about today is that this list came directly from the Holy Spirit. It's not in any particular order, and it doesn't mean if you don't have all of these attributes that the Holy Spirit isn't in you, but these are 7 aspects that are very much alive in Christians who are on fire for God. And the reality is, is there's more than 7, but these are the ones that he wanted me to talk about today. So let's go ahead and get started. The first sign that you have the Holy Spirit is you operate in his power. Paul talks about this in his letters, that the church is a spirit of power, that They operate in power. You saw Jesus everywhere he went, he operated in power. Healing miracles, financial miracles, it didn't matter. We're talking deliverance, drove out demons with the tip of the finger of God. That is the essence of who the Holy Spirit is. And when you walk in with and through the Holy Spirit, it is all based upon his power. Because the reality is, is the enemy is very active. He's got organized troops. He's very focused on destroying, steal, kill, and destroy. But what you see is, is that those who stand and operate in power are operating in the very fullness of the Holy Spirit, the things he wants us to do. Because the reality is, is that that's what he calls us to do. He calls us to lay hands. He calls us to pray. He calls us to intercede. He calls us to declare. He calls us to do these things. And I have a beautiful story that I posted on social media recently that talks about this very topic. I was recently Preaching at a church in one of the cities that I was actually visiting. And at that time, there was a man that needed prayer for an issue with his heart. And at that point, he was literally days away from dying. The doctors couldn't help him, nurses, medicine— he was going to die. That was the end of it. He asked me to intercede and pray and come into agreement with him. And guess what happened when I saw him a few months later? He was fully restored. A heart issue that was absolutely the very definition of death was revoked and rebuked by the Spirit of God. When you're operating in power, in holiness, in strength, that's the essence of, you know, that you're walking hand in hand with the Holy Spirit. Number 2, the other aspect that I think is extremely important, which should be a part of every Christian's life, is the fear of God. When the Holy Spirit is working inside of you, you have this deep reverential fear of the Lord God because you understand who he is. You understand the power he commands. You understand the things he means and stands for. There's an aspect of deity and honor and grace and power that is the Lord God, and that you understand that you come into his presence with praise and thanksgiving. Sure, you can go boldly before the throne of grace, but guess what? You better start with praise and thanksgiving. that's who he is. He deserves it. You understand that what he has done for you, for me, is unimaginable, that he literally gave up everything. He gave up his Son. He even made his Son poor that we could be rich. There's so many aspects that are just mind-blowing when it comes to that. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It's the beginning of understanding. It's the beginning of all these things, because that's where the essence of God is, is that you have to understand Who he is. Even the devil and the demons know about Jesus and they shudder. And that's the essence of where the beginning of all things with the Holy Spirit starts, with the fear of the Lord. It's a powerful aspect of your walk with God. It keeps you oriented. It makes you look at sin with disgust so that you honor your Father in all that you do and all that you say and even all the way you operate in. It's so important. It feeds directly into number 3, which is humility. We know that the Spirit of the Lord flows to the lowest place. We know that Jesus humbled himself, made himself nothing, to come to earth and walk out a life in order for us to have life eternal. He reconciled us to the Father. He was a fragrant offering so that we didn't have to, because we were There was no way for us to do that. Humility operates because you know who you are in Christ. You know, because you aren't interested in living the life that others are living. You aren't interested in seeing how things are happening for other people and trying to pursue their graces and the things that God has assigned for them. No, instead, humility allows you to stay in your place, allow the Holy Spirit To operate in abundance in your life, allowing you to understand and receive all that he has for you. Because the reality is, is the most important thing on this side of eternity is your relationship with Jesus. All these other things that are going on are just add-ons and additional things that we're called to do. And it all starts with humility. It all starts with understanding your place in the kingdom. It's when you walk into a room, you take the lowly seat and allow The master of the house, of this person who's running the ceremony, to elevate you. It allows you to be in a place of prayer, in a place of rest where you're not toiling and you're not trying too much. Even when you look at Paul, look at Acts when you see Paul and Barnabas praying. Paul and Barnabas for years— and I think Paul, if I remember correctly, was close to 17 years between when he started his missionary journey When he met Jesus on the road to Damascus. That long. Jesus worked on him for so many years in preparation for what was about to happen, and he did it through humility. Because when you read the Bible, there's not very— other than the 3 years in the wilderness where Paul received revelation directly from Jesus, there's no mention of that time practically for him. So what was he doing? He was operating in humility. So it's so important to be able to receive that. And operate in that. Number 4 is a really powerful one because you operate in supernatural wisdom and knowledge. It's like Solomon whenever the Queen of Sheba came to test him and press him with all these questions. He not only answered them, he wowed her, and he wowed her by the experience. He wowed her by how many things she was able to receive and the blessings she got, both verbally and physically. When you have the Holy Spirit, you know things that other people just don't. You have access to things that people just don't have access to. You have a deeper level of understanding. You have supernatural intelligence. There are moments and elements of your walk where you just know. There's a knowing. The whats and the hows just come alive in every situation, and you just know how to proceed. You know what to say. How to operate things, how to experience when things are going to happen, why things are happening. All of these questions that people have that they struggle with, it's just completely innate because what it is, it's the Holy Spirit that is pouring through you, for you, and into others so that you can help them receive the same level of blessing that you've received in a powerful way. It's no different than being able to walk into a crowded room of people and to help those who are in need and recognize those who are being ignored. It's no different than being able to sit one-on-one with a friend and giving them sage-level advice that allows them to unlock their future in a way that God wants them to. It's no different than running a business or being at a school or in community or church or at home and just making good decision After good decision, knowing that you're led step by step by the Holy Spirit. It's knowing when to take the step. It's knowing when to stay still. It's knowing when to push forward. It's knowing when to stay in peace. It's all of those things. It's powerful. It's supernatural. It's incredible because the Holy Spirit is moving with you and for you, knocking down barriers because you know that there's certain things that you may be about to do, but the Holy Spirit says those things aren't ready. Just wait. Let me get the people ready. Let me get the provision ready. Let me get the finance ready. Let me get the customers ready. You don't have to toil. They're going to happen. Just take care of it. I'll, I'll watch it, make sure it happens for you. That's number 4 in the aspect of just true supernatural wisdom and knowledge, understanding, intelligence, and more. Number 5 is a very important one because Jesus talks about it. He says you won't see the Father without being holy. He talked about this. Be holy like my Father is holy. Be perfect like my Father is perfect. You need to operate in holiness throughout your day. When you're operating in holiness, that's a powerful sign that the Holy Spirit is in you, working through you, because you understand that there's so many aspects of a Christian walk that they could easily be tripped up. You don't believe the lies of the world. You aren't swayed by what you see in the physical, but you know in the super, in the spiritual, that, hey, this isn't going to be the way it's going to end up because I'm standing on the promises of God. Holiness is critical because it is following God's commandments. It's loving God. It's putting your true first love first. It is about loving your neighbor as yourself. It's about loving yourself as you're supposed to. It's looking at yourself through the eyes of the Holy Spirit, the way He sees you. It is your identity in Christ. It's all of these things that it's so important to understand, that when you're operating in holiness, you're operating on the will of God. You're standing on the word. You're operating with the things that God wants you to operate. You're doing the things you're supposed to be doing. You're rejecting the things you're supposed to be rejecting, and you're accomplishing the things God wants you to do in the manner he wants you to do it, because it isn't about emotion. It isn't about energy. It isn't about being relentless. It's all about doing it God's way, through God's patterns, through God's love, properly and thoroughly. And that is the essence of holiness. And it's so important because when you understand that holiness, holiness is a cornerstone to all that you are and all that God is, you start to recognize, oh, in Hebrews it talks about this. It says You loved righteousness. You were holy, but you hated sin. You hated evil. You hated the things that God hates. That's the essence of holiness, because now you're aligned with both God's heart, his mind, and his purpose. It's so important. Number 6, very, very powerful, and it talks about this a lot in scripture, is that you have to produce good fruit. What's the fruit? The fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, self-control. All of these things— gentleness. It's the aspect is whatever you're sowing into the ground, whatever you're sowing into people, whatever you're sowing into situations needs to reflect those 9 things. When you have the Holy Spirit, you're not bothered by a situation that tries to become and get you worked up. You're just like, you're going to stay still and be patient. You're still going to offer gentleness when a person's upset, maybe even yelling at you. You're always going to be in a state of peace and stillness. And I know this is hard for some people when you hear this, but when you're operating in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, things don't bother you. You, you may get righteously indignant when something happens, but that's truly something that's more of a fleeting moment. It gets you engaged and then you get you disengaged. You always operate in love. And when And you wanna understand what love truly is, read the love chapter, 1 Corinthians 13, and you'll see that a lot of those aspects that are the fruit of the Spirit apply to the, the love chapter that is love. And so when you're operating in that fruit, you're gonna reap that fruit later. You're gonna reap grace when you sow grace. You reap mercy when you get mercy. So all of these things is really important cuz you're giving them out to people. And you're allowing that to return, whether that's through you or you're through your children or friends and family, your community, maybe your work or school, wherever you may be. That's how you're going to operate. And you producing good fruit is the essence and true nature of who the Holy Spirit is and the Holy Spirit operating through you, because that's who he is, and he's sowing it abundantly over and over and over again, and it's so powerful. And then number 7, the last one, definitely not the least important, is you have a spirit of faith. You operate in faith. You do not allow the things of this world to transform your stance into something that is not holy. You do not get knocked off of the will of the Holy Spirit, the, the basically the flow of the Holy Spirit, because of what the world is saying, what the world is doing, and what you see in front of you. You stand in faith because faith by definition means you're thoroughly convinced that the word of God is true. You're thoroughly convinced that God's promises always come true, that they all apply to you. That's what he means. He is a respecter of no persons. So when you understand that faith is a cornerstone, it's the currency of heaven, It's how God operates. It gives him space to operate. Like, that's the essence of knowing and really truly understanding that the Holy Spirit is working through and with you, is that you give God room to be God. You don't have to do the things that you attract. You don't have to chase after those things. You don't have to allow yourself to take on the burdens that he can handle. You can't control all the scenarios. You don't understand all the things that are going on. You can't imagine the right way forward. You just have to be focused on your part and the steps and the actions and the posture of your heart. And that's where faith comes in. Faith is all about understanding the word of God and standing on it. It says that you'll eat the fat of the land. It says that you're blessed to be a blessing to others. It says that wherever you step your foot becomes your territory, that you're blessed in your coming and going. Everything that you do will come back pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing. It is so important to understand that there are aspects of these things that you need to know, that that is proof. Again, not fully, not fully indicative of all the things, but these are the 7 that the Holy Spirit wants me to say. And let me recap them. It is the Spirit of power. That's who the Holy Spirit is. He's the most powerful person on this earth. Period. You can't argue it because that's who he is. The Holy Spirit spends zero seconds of what the devil is doing in his kingdom. He is only about kingdom business. Number 2, there's a depth of fear of God that allows you to understand and reverently respect your Father in heaven, your brother in heaven as Lord and Savior. There's a, there's a spirit of humility that operates with number 3 so that you can know that the Spirit flows to the places. He knows that he'll elevate the humble. The moment you decide to allow God to elevate you, he will do it, and you don't even have to do it. And the renown will automatically come with it. All the things that you see, that you see in today that the celebrities and influencers are chasing, God will do for you automatically. Number 4, supernatural wisdom and knowledge. So key to be able to operate with a kingdom mindset, continually going from faith to faith and glory to glory. You're operating in holiness with number 5. You are acting as if what Jesus would do, you would do the same thing. Number 6 is you're producing good fruit in all the things you do and all the things you say and how you operate. And number 7, you have the spirit of faith backing you, guiding you, and keeping you oriented on God's purpose on your life, and you're not allowing what you're seeing in the natural to affect the super, because the super affects the natural.
