Stephen told Jewish leaders they were resisting the Holy Spirit by ignoring its nudges. The speaker asks if you're doing the same: ignoring prompts to reach out, act, or obey. Stop hardening your conscience and follow what the Spirit tells you.
Chapters
Good morning everyone. I'm hoping you're having a great day today. So continuing on our series about hearing from the voice of God, one of the key things I want to talk about in today's verse, Acts chapter 7, verse 51, is Stephen is talking to the Jewish leaders, and in the process he scolds them for basically being ultra stubborn. Really what it boils down to is that the Holy Spirit is constantly talking to them, but they refuse to listen to him, and they're searing their conscience. So today I want to ask you, are you doing the same thing? Are you in a position where the Holy Spirit is prompting you to do something, you know, asking you to reach out to someone, reach, you know, going out there and doing something, and you just refuse to do it? And when you're in that spot, the Holy Spirit is not going to move away from that position. And so stop being stubborn, start being focused on what God wants you to do. And act on it and stop doing the things that you want to do, and maybe then you'll hear the voice.
