So can a Christian get a tattoo? The Lord commanded the Israelites in the Old Testament not to put tattoos on their bodies, that it was a form of idol worship. One can argue that today we're not under the Mosaic Law, but here's something you may not know. In the New Testament, your body doesn't belong to you. It belongs to the Holy Spirit. And since God is a God that does not change, He would not have made a rule for the Israelites in the Old Testament and then make a different rule for the Gentiles, which is us, in the New Testament.
