A speaker warns believers learning to hear God's voice to test every spiritual message, even as they grow more experienced. Seasoned Christians can distinguish God from evil clearly, but newcomers must stay vigilant because the devil sometimes speaks first, trying to sound like God.
So today's verse is very important for those people that are starting to hear the voice of God for the first time. Uh, whenever you have walked with the Holy Spirit and Jesus for a long period of time, whether that's even a couple months or years, you will know the difference between their voice and the voice of the evil one. It's plain as day. It's like day and night. And yes, God still talks to people today. But whenever you get into the situation when you're first starting to hear from God, you actually have to test the Spirit and you are allowed to test the Spirit. Even after you're comfortable, when God's asking you to do things that may be radical or something that's just, you're like, oh, this doesn't make any sense. I'm not sure if that's biblical. But the key thing is, is remember, God is sometimes going to allow the devil to talk to you first and come in after the fact. So you always want to test the spirits whenever you're having conversations with God, because sometimes, even though you may think God's talking, it's, it's really the evil one. God bless.
