A Christian argues that babies who die go to heaven because they lack moral accountability. He cites David's son in the Bible as evidence that infants reach heaven after death.
Do babies go to heaven when they die? You see, when babies are young, they don't understand right or wrong. It's not until they get to the age of reason that they can understand sin and then therefore are held accountable. But actually, the Bible proves that babies go to heaven. When David's son was killed by God after he committed adultery with Bathsheba, he said, he will not return to me, but I will go to him, meaning that babies truly go to heaven if they die when they're young.
