Jesus taught us to pray in private, away from distractions. God speaks constantly as a still small voice, images, or a sense of highlighting, but we miss it when we're distracted. Creating quiet, undivided attention in a prayer closet is how you learn to hear Him.

What's the secret to hearing God's voice? Well, that's quite simple. It's going into your prayer closet and praying to your Father. When Jesus talked to the disciples in Matthew 6:6, he told them to go into their prayer closets, shut the door, and pray to their Father in secret. Whatever he sees in secret, he'll reward you. One of the reasons why you don't hear God's voice is that you're distracted. God is talking to us all the time. You just don't take the time to recognize it, and you think he's not talking to you. You expect God to speak to you like I'm speaking to you. The Father connects to us in many ways. He talks to us through many different mechanisms: a still small voice in our head, images, pictures, highlighting things. When you're distracted, we can't see or hear what he does. That's why it's key to go into your prayer closet, give him your undivided attention, and allow him to speak to us without all those distractions pulling our attention away from him. And then you'll hear him speak. God bless.
