How to FIND a Godly man

In this devotional‑style talk, John Humenik addresses single Christians—especially women—who are seeking a godly husband. He begins by describing how modern dating culture has become self‑focused, leading many believers to remain single longer. He argues that dating is a worldly tool that often leads to temptation and that sexual purity (abstinence) is the essential foundation for anyone pursuing a godly relationship. Humenik emphasizes that finding a godly man is not primarily the woman's responsibility; rather, God is actively searching for the right husband on her behalf, and she must prepare herself spiritually. He draws on Psalm 23 and Matthew 6:33 to illustrate God’s pursuit, and uses the biblical example of David and Solomon to show that God builds the house (the marriage) before the man. He contrasts the “upside‑down kingdom” of God’s patient, restful approach with the fast‑paced, achievement‑driven worldview of society. Practical advice includes: focusing on personal growth, prayer, and mentorship from spiritual parents; recognizing that a godly man will be a born‑again believer and of appropriate age; understanding that he may be encountered outside the church in everyday life; and trusting God’s timing. Humenik concludes with encouragement to live in faith, sow positive seeds, and connect with a supportive community, inviting viewers to support his ministry through Patreon and the Destiny Impactor program.

Hello, my name is John Humenik. Welcome to my channel. Today's topic is, how do you find a godly man? Whether you're single or even dating, this video will really help you in your walk with Jesus Christ and with all your relationships overall. Watch this whole video because the answer isn't as simple as going to church and scouting out the dating scene there. While it may seem as a simple process, you and many other people of God are finding themselves single for longer periods of time. I've seen it over the last set of decades that both men and women are waiting longer and longer to get married. Finding a spouse can be difficult in this day and age. The dating scene has shifted. People's wants and desires have morphed. Everything has centered around self. The modern family looks very different today than it did even 10 years ago. So how do you navigate this dating scene? Well, let's answer that question as well as it will lead you to answers all that you need to carry you going forward. Firstly, dating is a worldly concept that was developed and used as a tool to mitigate marriage. Without going into a lot of details on that, you should be focusing on finding a godly spouse that will ultimately lead to marriage. The dating scene is meant to lead people into all forms of temptation, sin, and ultimately into a world of problems. I've covered this on this channel, how the concept of one flesh applies whether you are not married or even when you are married. The more people you sleep with joins you more and more to them. Their problems and the people they sleep with and their problems can become yours. This is especially true with people who have higher body counts. In other words, the more people they sleep with exhibit problems that they don't actually have. The reason is the person that they've slept with has slept with someone along this chain, and that person along this chain has that issue, and then now you do. As hard as it is to say this, in this generation, abstinence is the only path forward. Don't condemn or hold your past against you. That's the past. Leave it there. Allow yourself the opportunity to become pure to the Lord and move forward today in faith. If you're a single parent, divorced, or even if you were never married, don't let your situation prevent you from receiving all that God has for you. Sexual purity is the foundational start in this journey. This applies to who you are dating, your fiancé, and if you have someone that's living with you that right now That's not your spouse. Here's a powerful statement that still rings in my mind when it comes to this topic: when you have sex within the marriage, it's a ministry to God. When you have sex outside of the marriage, it's a ministry to Satan. Now, that might sound harsh or even condemning to some of you, and I'm not here to pass judgment. I'm here to shine a light bright on your situation and get you to the place God wants you to be. And sometimes that does require you to deny your flesh. For some, that may seem nearly impossible, but we know that nothing's impossible with God. You'll notice a theme for the rest of this video. Finding a godly man isn't the responsibility of the woman. It's the responsibility of the man partnering with God. The responsibility of the woman is to be prepped for that, that encounter occurs. They're ready for the next step. And this is biblical. It's all over the Bible. Therein lies the deeper secret to finding a godly man that ultimately leads to marriage. You aren't on the hunt. You are being searched out. Let me say that again. You're not the one looking for him. He's looking for you. God's working on your future husband so you don't have to. Armed with this knowledge, you can first start taking a deep breath, relax, kick up your feet, and truly focus on yourself. This isn't a race to some predetermined finish line. It's a well-paced marathon that God runs with you one step at a time. It's understanding that finding a godly man falls under the same concept that Psalm 23:6 talks about, and the same in Matthew 6:33. In both verses, you are pursued. Psalm 23 talks about goodness and mercy. Psalm 6 talks about all things being provided to you. This is no different. As David was pursuing God, the king wanted to desperately build a temple to the house of the Ark of the Covenant. In an exchange with the prophet Nathan, God instructed King David that God would first build David's house. That's right. Then David's son Solomon would then build the place where the Lord would inhabit. You should be doing the same. This is why the Lord's kingdom is known as the upside-down kingdom. The worldly way of doing this is almost exclusively the opposite of how God would do it. Our society tells you to take charge, build a career, that you don't need to be a man to be successful. You can raise a family on your own. You can have a life. Family, enjoy all the fruits of the world at the same time. The catch? You have to toil for it. Make no mention about the energy expended, time lost, spiritual warfare raged on your life. My goodness, because you don't have any covering. And there's so much more. God's way brings peace, joy, and love. It's without the painful toil. It's filled with rest, relaxation, and proper pacing. It's done through conversations you have with your Father in your prayer closet, where you lay on the spiritual altar all the burdens that you keep carrying day after day. It's putting your successes there too, showcasing to God that the past successes don't determine future ones. You're yielded, submitted, and obedient to the call of God on your life. You're willing to do it God's way, in God's timing, and with God's help. Many people forget that their husbands don't find their wives in church. Majority of wives are found at school, work, or some other personal connection, meaning that you are obedient to God's instructions. You will literally be found by your future husband in your travels. You won't have to go out of your way. God's arranged that appointment for you. He knows the temperament, leadership style, and all the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual characteristics that your godly man already has and needs for you. It's like 2 hands that are interlinked at the fingers. You and him will fit perfectly together. Now, the Bible teaches us that your godly man will have 2 attributes. He will be of age, although you may know him when you're both younger. He will be a born-again believer. In all of the Bible, those are the only 2 requirements that God sets forth for marriage. It's unbelievable. It's so simple, but yet, yet we don't have to make it complicated. God did apply this rule from the Mosaic Law that people should marry within the tribe of Israel. This was more to prevent intermarrying with the surrounding pagan nations than anything else. Also, you're no longer under the law. All spiritual concepts are simple. The religious and human concepts are complex. God's more interested in your obedience Then your daily sacrifice, or in today's terms, repentance. He will instruct your godly man to grow in the ways he needs to help steward you. He will show him what areas need to be addressed right now and what can wait. That burden to transform a man to be a godly man was never supposed to be your responsibility. It was meant to be God's. Instead, spend time getting closer to Jesus, reading his word, and understanding how Jesus operated and emulated healthy emotions and actions, how Jesus grew in both stature in God and man's eyes. He grew in wisdom just like you can. Jesus moved with both love and power. He never stopped about being his Father's business. He wasn't afraid to travel. Jesus spent 90% of his life doing a carpenter's job instead of his Father's ministry. Why? Because the Lord was preparing Jesus in the mundane. He showed that no matter how great your calling is on your life, you can build a foundation of character and lifestyle in the normal. Think about this. Jesus didn't get the baptism of the Holy Spirit until he was baptized at the age of 30. Outside of the text of his birth and the time he spent at the temple at age 12, what did Jesus do? Did he play like other kids? Did he crack jokes with the other men and women? I wonder if he wanted to resurrect his earthly father Joseph when he died. Lots of interesting questions. Jesus led a normal life through and through. This is what God wants you to do. Sure, you may have an anointed calling. You may be an established author, prayer warrior, or even faithful servant in the church. God loves all those things. But it's clear from the interaction with Mary and Martha with Jesus that the only thing that's required on this side of eternity is to sit at the feet of Jesus. To sit, to learn, soak in everything God has for you in this life. Don't compare yourself with others. The fear of missing out is real for some people. There's always going to be people that you know that get married early, maybe right out of school. You'll have others that weren't ready to get married and they get married later in life, possibly even more so when they're financially established and wise to kingdom matters. No matter the path God has for you, walk it out in faith. Be expectant that every single day will be great. No matter what you see in the natural, God's got you. No matter what ails you, whether it be a physical injury or limitation, mental or emotional challenge, or even a problem, God's greater. Declare your healing and walk it out. Remember, Jesus never prayed for healing. Not once. If you're burdened by anxiety, praise the Lord. It's scientifically proven that you can't be distressed if you're filling the airwaves with gratitude. Be practical with the expectations on your life. God always wants you to walk in faith, and that's within the confines of your graces. Again, don't compare your grace with another. Today, yours might be greater, but tomorrow is a new day. Celebrate the successes of others. Cheer others on. Sow those seeds so that others can cheer you on too. Don't be afraid to plant seeds all over the place. Seeds of love, hope, money, and more. Remember, the Bible teaches you that whatever you sow, you will reap. Seeds multiply and create more of the same kind of fruit. Love bears more love. Hope bears more hope. Smiles bears more smiles. Don't underestimate the power of a good smile, a thank you, a hug, or a deep embrace. The power of being present is powerful and amazing. Get connected to people. If you don't have an amazing spiritual mother to the Lord, ask him to send a mighty woman of God your way. If needed, have him send an amazing spiritual father too. What better way to see what a mighty man of God is like than to have a godly father figure in your life that's present and able to help you through any situation? Don't let the religious people say that women should only have women in their lives. What better way to weed out the ungodly men from the godly men if you've got someone to compare them to? The power of relationship is key. It will develop in ways you would not think possible. It will allow God to work through others to bless you. It will show God— it will allow God to work through you to bless others. You will grow at God's pace and speed for your life, allowing him at the same time an opportunity The— to get you to the right place, to introduce you to your godly man. Knowing how much time all of us could spend in church and outside of the church, the reality for most of you is your man will be found on your journey God has for you. Sometimes that intersects with the church. Most of the time it won't. Thank you for watching this video.
