Chapters
Isaiah chapter 40, verse 3. A voice of one calling in the wilderness, prepare the way for the Lord, make straight in the desert a path, a highway for our God. The book of Isaiah is known as the Little Bible, split up in the same number of chapters as there are books in the Old Testament and New Testament. We see in chapter 40, which would be equivalent to the first book of the New Testament, the prophecy about John the Baptist. John is in all 4 Gospels. heralding Jesus's coming. Let's be like John. It's time to believe. One of the key things to note about John the Baptist is, is he really truly didn't know Jesus was the Messiah until later in his life. But whenever he saw Jesus, he beheld that image and continued to stare at him and know that he was the Son of God. And so whenever he baptized him in the Jordan, he saw the dove descending, and an open heaven opened up over that scene, and even to this day has never closed. God bless.
