Speaker B argues Jesus claimed divinity through passages like John 8:58 ("before Abraham was, I am") and Daniel 7:13. He explains the Trinity as one God existing as three distinct persons who share the same nature, which resolves why Jesus prayed to the Father.
Jesus claimed he was God. Watch this.
Did Jesus say that he was God? One of the most clear examples is found in John 8:58, where Jesus says, most assuredly I say to you that before Abraham was, I am. And I am is the same name that God revealed himself to Moses as in Exodus 3:14. If Jesus is God, how could he pray to God? Was Jesus praying to himself? The key is to understand that God the Father is not God the Son. God is one being that exists Eternally as 3 distinct persons that are completely the same in character, nature, and essence. And if you'd like to see both God the Father and God the Son in the same scene at the same time, go to Daniel chapter 7:13.
