Learn How to Run Your Business Like a Kingdom Enterprise!

John Humenik delivers a faith‑based leadership teaching that challenges Christian entrepreneurs to turn their enterprises into "kingdom businesses" that operate under God’s design. He presents three core principles: (1) viewing daily work as a fragrant offering—a ministry to the Lord—where leaders serve God and their people through love, peace, joy, and a kingdom‑like culture; (2) operating from a king‑and‑priest identity, rooted in continual prayer, Holy‑Spirit infilling, and biblical revelation, enabling leaders to declare and enact kingdom values; and (3) practicing servant leadership, modeled on David and Jesus, by caring for broken team members, mentoring, and prioritizing God’s timing over worldly goals. Throughout, Humenik weaves scriptural examples (2 Samuel, 1 Samuel, Revelation) and practical advice—seasonal obedience, reliance on divine provision, and operating without ego—to help listeners align their businesses with kingdom principles and experience divine victory.

Hi, my name is John Humenik. Welcome back to the channel. I'm so excited that you're here today. If you are new to this channel, please subscribe and click on that notification bell because we've got amazing messages that continue to come out related to kingdom business and kingdom finance. And this one is no different. Today's topic is how to take your enterprise or your organization that you oversee and turn it into a kingdom business and operate it in the manner in which God would want this organization to work. And so this is a really powerful message. We've got 3 core topics that we're going to cover, and it's It's going to be amazing. So let's go ahead and hop right in. The most important thing to start with is to understand that your work as you are doing it is a ministry unto the Lord. As a leader, as a Christian who oversees maybe an organization, maybe a couple people, or even entire enterprise, God wants you to lead as if it is a fragrant offering on a daily basis to him. And so that is the part of the work that he wants you to accomplish, because as you lead this business, as you lead your organization forward, This ministry becomes a fragrant offering on a day-to-day basis as you continue to serve him. So as you continue to understand and sow into this kingdom that you are building here on earth on behalf of God, the key aspects that he wants you to understand is, is that as you serve these people, it's very important to understand is, is that you're doing it for God's grace. You're doing it for God's capabilities to be able to push and move things through into this realm, using you as the vehicle or the funnel to do so. It's critical to understand as a leader that you are supposed to sow into your people. As a part of that, that you'll continue to mentor and grow them. But most importantly, it is something that you are representing Christ himself through the work that you're doing so that the love, the peace, the joy, the culture that you're establishing within your company or within your group represents the kingdom of heaven. It's so important that you continue to do these things in the manner in which God wants you to so that you can be successful At the highest levels. So what does that mean from general? Like, how does that become a practical step forward as a leader to be able to move forward and to be able to see that this kingdom is a part of what you're trying to establish here on earth? So the first thing to recognize as a part of this is that you need to recognize that how you operate in this season can be very, very different than the way you've operated in the past, that the things that God wants you to do may be a new thing and maybe something completely different, even though the situation that you are currently experiencing may be identical to one that you just went through, because God wants to do things in a new and exciting way. And in order to do so, he's going to do it in an amazing fashion. So the thing that he does first is, let's go to the scriptures and understand this. So what you do is, is go to, um, the— I think, remember correctly, it's 2 Samuel where David is now crowned king. And then the Philistines are now attacking him to try to end this new king's reign. David goes out to fight the Philistines, resoundingly defeats them. Then what happens is they regroup and then they attack again, but David doesn't go and fight them, even though in that moment he was more than capable going back and defeating him. He goes before the Lord, puts on, you know, he puts on the Holy Spirit, and then as he's going through this process, what he does is he prays, he receives the word of the Lord, he gets imbued with new knowledge and new wonder. And what happens is, is God speaks through the Holy Spirit to David. And in doing so, what happens— guess what happens— is that God tells him definitively, don't go and fight this battle because I'm going to win it for you. And then all you have to do is wait till you hear the sounds of the Philistines' footsteps on the top of the trees, and then you can engage. But by then, the battle was basically won. So even though you have a business, an organization that is in place and doing things very effectively, it's very important to to get into the presence of God, to understand what God wants to do with you and through you in this current season. You've got to be able to robe yourself with love, robe yourself with joy, robe yourself with peace. Allow the Holy Spirit to infill you on a day-to-day basis so that you can understand that Rhema word of God that is alive and just, just able to just cut through all the things that you're dealing with and allow you to be victorious so that you can walk out ultimately the Logos word of God, the written word of God, in victory. That's so key. That's number one, is to be able to recognize that even in this new season, as you're walking things out with God, that you understand the very things he wants you to do so you can be successful, even though you may have done things in a way that may be the same thing in the past. So it's very key to recognize that. So what number 2 is, is as you're walking this fragrant offering ministry out to God, because that's what it is as a part of your business or a part of your team, that you operate from the king and priestly nature that's already inside you. Now I'm going to use king and priest because the— in the Bible, technically they are gender-neutral terms as it relates to Christ. Now you see this in the Old Testament where there's kings and queens related to the people, but when you see in Revelation it says Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, he doesn't say king, uh, he doesn't say the king of kings and queens, he says King of Kings, which means it is gender-neutral. So that women, as a part of your walk as an entrepreneur, this is going going to be what we're talking about. So don't think I'm just excluding it just for men, but just recognize that this is a gender-neutral term. So what we see here is God wants you to walk out this victorious life as a king and a priest. Now, how do you do that? It's pretty straightforward. The priestly nature is the most important nature as a part of this. This is key because the priestly nature is actually the foundational element. In fact, when you start to understand how God operated, the priests were very much a behind-the-scenes part of the temple worship, the sacrificial system, and everything else. While they were physically present, they were foundational as a part of the work that was addressed, because the kings were the ones that were mostly prominent as a part of the public eye. And that's no different here. Your nature here is meant for you to spend time with God in the prayer closet, to receive the Holy Spirit over and over again, to receive Jesus. Basically what that means is, is what it is is you're just getting you out of you and letting God get more of you. That's ultimately what all of that means. And so as you're continuing to empty yourself and allow the Holy Spirit to fill you, what happens then is, is then now you can operate in victory. You can operate in kingdom principles because in your quiet time, God is filling you up. He's teaching you something new. He's taking the burdens off your chest. He's taking the worries and the anxieties of the things that you want to try to control, or the pen that's You want to write your story, but you got to get let God do those things. And when you do those things, what happens is is the very essence of God comes to life as a part of you. Because now what happens is is that you get to be in a place where you're sound and secure. That even though you may have worry, you can still operate in faith. You can take those faith-filled steps. Even though that you may be troubled in a storm, you still have peace there. That you even though you may be surrounded by people and you feel lonely, you can still walk in victory. That's what God wants you to do because the priestly nature builds you up in Christ, makes you a living representative of Christ, a basically a clone of Jesus on earth. That's what it does, and that's key. And so as you're pouring out, as you're pouring out into your team— because this is extremely important— as you're pouring out into your team, you're going to do that from a kingly nature that's done with a priestly nature that overflows. This is extremely important to understand because that's how David operated and that's how Jesus operated. What you see here is Jesus as the high priest on earth, continually prayed and interceded and spent time. You see it in scripture all the time that he would, he would walk away from his disciples to go and pray to the Lord, to his Father. He would go to the mountaintop and talk to God his Father before important decisions were made. You saw this when it was the— before the disciples. You saw this before he walked on water. So many situations in the Bible, Jesus continually returned to the Father to be able to be infilled over and over again to lift up, basically to suppress the flesh in order for the Spirit to be in control of the soul. And that's really what it is. But when then, when he declared things from his kingly nature, what he's doing is, is he's, he's doing it from the God nature that was inside of him. And so that was key. So he was emulating— Jesus was emulating this as a part of his walk, and David did too, obviously in an imperfect state. But you see the same concept is here, is David was willing to pray to God, to intercede, to be able to Yeah. And so he would go to and talk to God either through the priest or putting on the, um, the, the priestly garments and then talking to God and communing with him so that he can then become the king and lead people forward. And this is no different for you. You need to be in that situation where your prayer life is so important, it's so vital that you're walking out life in righteousness, that you are seeing those things, that you understand and study the word so that as you're operating from that kingly nature and you declare moving heaven to earth, because that's the essence of declaration, is that you can speak those things that as if they're not, as if they are, and pull those things forward. You can call those things into being and to be able to understand. And that applies to your people because you need to see your people as God sees them so that you can lift them up. And it's so key because as you continue to walk these things out, this will lead into number 3, which is that you need to be this great servant leader, which is number 3. So here, as you continue to pour out from God, because remember, you're being filled by God all the time, his word, his His emotions, his cares, his concerns. And then what happens is, is then that gets poured out in the kingly nature. But for number three, it's all about being that servant leader. Jesus emulated this over and over again throughout Scripture, where he washed the feet of his disciples, where he did the high priest prayer in the up leading up to the garden, where he interceded for them, but for them and for all of us, that he was it was about his bride, that how he wants the bride to be spotless and cared for while he was gone as he was preparing. A place for us ultimately in heaven and then ultimately the new earth. So as a servant leader, for number 3, it's critical that you continue to operate in that manner. This isn't about your ego. This isn't about your paycheck. This isn't about your bonus check. It's all about taking the people that God has given you and move them up. And you can see this example very clearly in 1 Samuel 22 when God talks about the mighty men that was sent to David. Here's a situation where David's already anointed as king. He's already married Saul's daughter, and now he's been winning victories for Saul, and Saul goes basically crazy. And what happens is he starts hunting David. So David knows that he can't strike down God's anointed. So what does he do? He goes and hides in a cave, and then his parents come, his family come to him, and then also 400 men— and I think that their families come— but who are distressed, discontented, and in debt. And so now what happens is, is you have this situation where all these people are broken and God's like, go and minister to them. So the same will happen to you. You will have people as a part of your organization who are broken, who are struggling, who can't do their job correctly, who can't show up on time, who can't work 40 hours, who are just doing all things that they're not supposed to be doing, and then it negatively affects their work life. What that means then is, is as all these things are unraveling, God wants you to be like King David where you can continue to minister to those people, because then David's men went from 400 to 600 and continued to grow, and it became the army of Israel. And ultimately, many of the mighty men came from that. So much so that David, when he went to donate to the temple, that they out-donated him as a part of the leadership. And that's the key part, is as, as you start to see the leadership, as you move forward through these various steps, God wants you to run your business and your team like a fragrant ministry to him. He wants you to operate from the king and priestly nature, but also from that servant leadership so that you can be victorious. That's how you can take your current job and your current business that you're currently working through to be able to go into your enterprise and turn it into a kingdom business, because that's what God wants. He wants you to operate from victory. He wants you to operate that know that you always have the provision that you need. That's the thing. That's the blessing of the Christian is that you can be the lender and not the borrower, that you are the head and not the tail. So these things are very important. So you need to walk those things out, but you have to do it within God's constraints and biblical timelines because it's key because it's not on your time, but God's time. God's time. And that's why you'll see— well, you see a lot of great Christian leaders, they never even set goals for themselves. They set targets, but they don't put it on a timeline because they know this is where I'm going, but it's on God's time in which it happens. So that's why they don't even do things like New Year's resolutions, because those are worldly. Because ultimately what happens is, is you're being obedient to the things that God wants you to do in this season, like David was when he attacked the Philistines the second time. You're obedient to what he wants in the season so that you can walk out the character transformation that needs in order for you to be ready for the next season so that he can continue to promote you and continue to move you forward and up.
