Meet Megan Timmer!

Welcome back to the channel. My name is Kaitlyn Humenik. We're excited that you're here. I'm with Megan Timmer today.

Hey everyone, I'm so excited to be here. Thanks so much for having me, Kaitlyn.

Of course, we're, we're really excited to jump right into this. Megan has been on fire for the Lord recently, and we're just excited to hear what he's been doing through her life. Um, we can start by asking a few questions. And yeah, so Megan, tell me about your testimony.

Yeah, that's awesome. That's such a good question, and, uh, I'd I would love to jump into my testimony, share a little bit about my story and what God's done in me. So I grew up in the church, grew up going to a more religious church, more traditional. I'm very thankful for my upbringing. I'm thankful to have parents who, who they love the Lord and, uh, trained me and rose— I guess you could say raised me up, raised me up in, uh, in knowing the word of God and being in church. So I'm very thankful for that. But definitely one thing that I did was just grow and live in my parents' faith, and it wasn't necessarily something that I had ever made my And then things kind of got more traditional and more just religious. And I remember thinking as I grew up, a lot of the kids that I would go to church with or who said that they went to church, they lived just like the rest of the world. And I was like, well, doesn't the Bible talk about being in this world and not of this world and how Christians should live differently? Their lives should look different. And so I just started to kind of question a little bit, like, this doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. And then I decided to pursue a career in basketball for college, and that ended up— I got injured. And so basketball was taken away from me. I had to get some surgeries. And in that moment, I just remember thinking to the Lord, what is my life? Like, if it's not sports, that was a huge part of my story. What's my life? Like, what am I supposed to do? And so I ended up transferring colleges. And that semester I just said, all right, Lord, I'm making a decision that if there's nothing more to this Christianity, then I want out. Like, I'm just gonna go live my life. I'm not gonna feel condemnation for not going to church on Sunday, and I'm just— I'm not gonna do this religiously. So I said, if there's nothing more than what I've experienced already, I'm just— I'm done. I'm gonna go live my life in the world like everybody else and not feel bad about it. But the Bible says that those who draw near— when you draw near to God, God will draw near to you. And so I said, I'll give you a semester. And I just said, this semester I'm gonna push, I'm gonna read my Bible more. I'm gonna go to all the worship nights, and I'm gonna seek you this semester. But I expect you to— in a way, like, he had drawn it to me, and I said, if I don't encounter anything more to this Christianity, then I'm just gonna go live my life in college and figure things out on my own. And by the end of that semester, the Lord put a supernatural relationship in my life. And it was only about 6 months later, I was born again. I was filled with the Holy Ghost. I was on fire for the Lord, and my life completely radically changed. I went from having— living in the religion of Christianity to having a relationship with the living God and with Jesus Christ, and it transformed my life. The Bible talks about when you give your life to the Lord, you become a new creation. The old man is dead and gone away with, and behold, all things have become new. And I remember it was at a worship night that I actually got saved, and that's exactly what happened. I just— I went back to my dorm room that night and I sat there because I had to write a paper. I like pushed it off till after this worship night. It was probably like 11, midnight, around there. And I had to write this paper, but I just remember sitting there and thinking, oh my goodness, I've spent my whole life unsaved. Like, if I would have died up until this point, I don't think I would have gone to heaven. And it just dawned on me, like, wow, no, truly there is a moment where everyone can get born again and has to have an encounter with the Lord and make your faith your own and not just live through your parents' faith. So that's a little bit brief testimony of what the Lord did in my life to get me to where I am today.

That's amazing. God, the way he works is just— it's just we can't even describe it in words. He's just always going to exceed our expectations. And I just, I like how you were kind of giving Him the room to show you who He is, because I feel like a lot of time when people are struggling in their faith, they kind of just like let it go and walk away. But when you give the Lord an opportunity to show who He is, then that's whenever the real transformation happens. So thank you for sharing that.

So tell me about the CAP program.

Yeah, so the CAP program is the Kingdom Accelerator Program, and I have the great blessing and honor of being a part of the Kingdom Accelerator Program. And as I shared in my testimony, how the Lord put a supernatural relationship in my life that actually kind of led me to get born again and filled with the Holy Ghost and on fire for the Lord, and that was Evangelist Taylin Michael. And so we, we met back in college And went through a lot together, but we were all on fire. Also, along with Coach Kate, who's in the program, Coach Steve, who's also in the program, we all met in college and we all just got born again, on fire for the Lord, filled with the Holy Ghost, and had a heart and a desire to pursue ministry. And so we started going into the colleges, preaching the gospel, going into high schools. We were seeing kids just like us who grew up in the church give their life to the Lord and get radically changed. And so through that, we just became really close. And then Evangelist Talon, he found and got connected with a church here in Ruston, Louisiana. And long story short, we all from the Lord heard from the Lord to move here and be a part of Faith Church in Ruston, Louisiana. And so we all came with a couple other friends, moved down here. And when we were down here, Evangelist Talon, he then back in Iowa had launched his ministry that we all came underneath, which was Revival Way. And Evangelist Talon Michael, he started to, from a word from the Lord, preach the gospel online. So he started with TikTok. The Lord told him to start making these short-form videos, um, and preach the gospel online. So he started doing that back in Iowa, and it just continued to increase, and he became known as the social media, the TikTok preacher, and taking over and going viral on all these platforms— YouTube, TikTok, Instagram— because of these downloads the Lord was giving him of preaching the gospel online. So they continued to do that when we moved here, and some of the guys started getting involved. Coach Cade started on social media, Coach Steve, some of the other guys in our church here, they started to do the same thing and they started seeing the same results. And so the Lord spoke to Evangelist Talon to start a program to help Christians who feel a call to preach the gospel online. And the reality is, is so many people are online today. So many kids are across all social media platforms. Everybody now is on social media. So a way to reach more people with the gospel is through social media. And so being around it, being in the same church, I saw what the guys were doing. I saw Evangelist Talon launch this program. And at first I was like, that's great, like go for it, I'll just be, you know, doing my thing here. But then Evangelist Talon was preaching about the CAP program and the reason for it. And one of them he said was, A, it's souls, winning souls for the kingdom of God. But then 2, it's how we're actually going to grow our church and how you're going to see churches grow across America. And something just hit in my spirit when he was talking about that, of if I'm a part of Faith Church, I'm a part of this church, so is Evangelist Talon, and this is how he sees we are going to grow the church And I'm a part of the church. Well, then I should get on on this. I should start doing this. So heard from the Lord, and over a little over a year ago, so in January of 2023, I started the Kingdom Accelerator program, and I started preaching the gospel online, making videos, and I love it. I'm so thankful to be a part of it. I've gotten to actually come on staff on in the Kingdom Accelerator program. I am a coach in the program, and I've done a couple other things in the program as well. But I'm just so thankful and honored to be a part of. what's happening and help to push Evangelist Hailam's vision that he's gotten from the Lord of raising up 1,000 online evangelists preaching the gospel online and reaching souls all across the world.

Yeah, that's amazing. It's truly incredible what the Lord has placed on his heart and how it— where it is right now. Honestly, I think he's been going at it for like, what, about a couple years now? And it's just been exploding. And I'm just so thankful that the Lord is using all these people and that All of you guys are— you're taking that, you're taking that opportunity, you're walking through that open door to spread the gospel, especially because you mentioned how so many people are online. So that's the easiest way to access a lot of people. So that's truly amazing. So let's talk about Kingdom Kids. Are you leading it?

So Kingdom Kids is a branch of the Kingdom Accelerator program that we just launched recently. We were meeting as a team and kind of discussing how we could continue to expand the Kingdom Accelerator program. And one area that's very near and dear to my heart is kids. And I do believe the Lord's put a calling and gifts and callings on the inside of me to reach kids. And so, you know, it says— we found a stat when we were launching Kingdom Kids, and I think it was about 70% of millennials have said that they want to be YouTubers. And that's what this generation is. This generation is YouTubers, it's influencers, it's on social media. And there's a lot of bad, 100%, there's a lot of bad. But instead of just avoiding that, why don't we, you know, take over online social media with the gospel and using kids to preach the gospel? kids who feel, you know, call of God on their lives to do that. So the Kingdom, uh, we launched Kingdom Kids, and I'm so, yeah, blessed and honored to be able to be heading that up and taking charge and having, having that part to flood in even more online evangelists. So Kingdom Kids, what we're doing in it, uh, number one, we're training up children in biblical doctrine and biblical principles. And so each week we're, we're teaching them the word of God. This first month we're talking about faith. What is faith? The people in the Bible who have faith, to get instilled in them a good foundation of biblical principles and biblical doctrine. Then number 2, we're teaching them how to be soul winners. So how can they as a child go out and actually tell people about Jesus? Because the Bible says to not let anyone look down on you because you're young. In fact, he used a ton of kids in the Bible. David, Moses was set apart as a child, Esther was used as a young lady, and so many— even Mary, the mother of Jesus, they say that she had to be about 14, 15 years old. Pretty young teenagers. So we just said, we want to reach kids and train them how they can actually go out and share the gospel instead of just saying, oh, they can't do that. It's the gospel, the Word of God that carries the power, not always the vessel. And so if we can get these kids trained up and how can they go out and share the gospel to their kids at school when they're just playing on the playground, maybe that they're at the grocery store with their parents, So we actually train them up on how to practically go out in a public space, walk up to somebody, and share Jesus with them. And then thirdly, we're teaching them how to be kingdom influencers. So now we're actually taking the viral video strategy that Evangelist Talon Michael teaches in his Kingdom Accelerator program, and we're making it for kids. So how can kids get on YouTube now with supervision of parents and everything like that, and then themselves start to preach the gospel in order to reach children? Because we're each called to reach a different population, a different group of people. So there's people that you can reach I'll never be able to reach. There's people I can reach that Evangelist Talon might not be able to reach. And there's kids and people that these children, Kingdom Kids, are going to be able to reach that we can't reach. So yeah, we're getting kids preaching the gospel in person, online, and on fire and in the call of God for their lives. Because I know for me, I wish that when I was young, I would have known the plan of God for my life earlier because it would have— I mean, I'm so thankful the Lord grabbed ahold hold of my heart in college and led me on that path. But what if, you know, right out of high school? What about in junior high? If I already knew that I wanted to preach the gospel, if I already had this fire for preaching the gospel to kids, how much time would I have, you know, not wasted? And not that any time is wasted time. The Lord can use it all, and He did. But, you know, kids, instead of just saying, yeah, we'll just send them off to college, they got to live their life, they've got to experience the world, and then they can come to what they're called to do. We don't have time for that. Jesus is coming back so soon. So Kingdom Kids, we're equipping kids in biblical doctrine and teaching them how to reach their generation with the gospel in person and online.

That's truly amazing. Whenever this, this program launched, it kind of, it really hit deep with me because I just, I know that there's so many young kids who are, who want to be on fire for God, and there's so many kids who don't even know who God is. And I think that's such an amazing program that can teach both. to be on fire for the Lord. And that's just truly amazing that they can start young because that it builds up. And a lot of the time I feel like when kids are going out and preaching, I feel like people can kind of listen more because they're like, okay, well, what does this kid have to say about this? But I just think that this is truly amazing. It really— God is just doing something amazing, not only through this next generation that's rising up, but just in everyone. And it's just like we're seeing it firsthand. And I'm just so excited to see where He's going to take all these kids. And I'm just so proud of them that they're taking this big step of faith and that they're, they're so on fire for the Lord right now. They're so willing to be trained and to understand these biblical principles, to go out into the world and just be a vessel for the Lord. And that's just truly amazing. I know that the program is just going to keep growing, and I pray that these kids will just continue to plant seeds and just grow up being powerful men and women of God.

Okay, so tell me about your YouTube channel and where it is now.

For sure. So I started in January of 2023, starting to post videos to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. And before I started, all I had was a personal Instagram, so I was not on social media, didn't know much about any of the platforms. So I had to start fresh and new. Everything was really brand new to me, but it's like When the Lord tells you to do something, he'll give you the help and the people to help you accomplish that and a grace to do it. So I started making these videos and praise God, I look back on some of those first videos and it was bad, but I was faithful with it. And it took, let's see, January, February, March, we were in April. I had hit April and I hadn't seen a breakthrough yet in any of my platforms. And I was like, what is going on? Like they say, like 90 days you can hit a breakthrough. And I was like, I wasn't seeing it, but I knew this is what the Lord told me to. And I knew that if I followed the principles of what they teach in the program, I'm gonna see results. So I stuck with it. But in May, I was working at a school at that time. And so come May, summer was gonna hit. And I just said, you know, I want to be making income from social media and preaching the gospel. So I said, all right, Lord, I believe you. So it was like April 1st. I think I had hit— I was over 1,000 subscribers, maybe 5,000, but I think at that point I had gotten up to about 5,000 subscribers, but nothing really major. They say once you hit 10K is when you really start to see a big progression and a big jump. So I said, all right, it's April. By the end of April, I want to be able to get monetized so that can all go through, so that by the end of May I make the money preaching the gospel online. And, um, because I knew this is what the Lord told me to do and I wanted to reach more people, so kept being faithful with it. Evangelist Taylin released a word about doubling and doubling again in the month of April. And so I said, Lord, I receive that for my YouTube. So So I sowed a seed and I said, Lord, I'm sowing this seed and I expect by the end of April to hit 10K, to double, and then I want to actually double again to 20K by the end of April and be monetized. So, um, did that, sowed the seed, praise God, rejoiced. The second week of April I hit 10K and then I was like, and I was like, praise God, it was supernatural. All of a sudden it took one video, one video went viral. Got into the algorithm and hit 10K. Not even a week later, 2 weeks later, by the end of April, I was well over 40,000 subscribers and it was growing. So I had already doubled and doubled again, far beyond that. And after that, it took off. So by the— by May, I was monetized, preaching the gospel online, making a source of income. In May, I actually, by the end of May, hit 1 million subscribers. So in less than 2 months, went from about 5,000 subscribers to a million subscribers. And then the month of— that was the end of June— between June and July peaked again and hit 2 million subscribers. In less than a month grew for another million subscribers because of just being faithful with the viral video strategy, implementing everything that Evangelist Talon teaches, saw that growth. And then a year later in January of 2024, at the very end, I crossed 3 million subscribers. And so up to this day, I'm at 3.27 million subscribers on YouTube, and I've seen with my salvation video, we've just crossed over 900,000 views on the salvation video. And just the other week, we had an official soul counter, and it came right— I have to— I don't have the exact number, but it was a— to go on the low end, it was 32,000. So 32,000 decisions for Christ, um, in just a little over a year's time. I'm so thankful. You know, that's tons of lives changed with the gospel, thousands of people given the opportunity to actually receive Jesus. And I just think, you know, those times of people who aren't faithful to do what the Lord told them to do, I just think, God, if I didn't take that step of faith, even when I wasn't seeing results, even when I felt silly or weird, how many people wouldn't have been impacted with the gospel because of that? And my other social media platforms as well, You know, they talk about the program. Sometimes you'll see like spikes in certain program or certain social media platforms. So my Instagram's over 50,000, I believe, followers. Facebook, I had some issues and so I had to restart on there. But all of them, TikTok, over 400,000 followers on TikTok, and all of them just flooding to that salvation video on YouTube. So I'm very thankful. I'm enjoying it. I'm loving it. It's all about getting the gospel out. And every day now I've seen a lot of my audience is children, which It shocked me at first, but then it shouldn't have shocked me if that's what the Lord put on the inside of me. Most of my audience is children, so children every day giving their life to the Lord on the live stream, saying that they're only 6, 8, 9, 10. And so I'm so thankful that now we get to funnel all those kids to Kingdom Kids, get the gospel in them, and get them now preaching the gospel as well. So I'm very thankful, and I'm very thankful to the Lord and Evangelist Salem for this program and what he's doing with sharing the gospel online.

That's truly amazing. I'm really excited with what the Lord is going to continue to do through you, and especially where you are right now, the, the reach that you have. The Lord is going to continue to bless you, and I just pray that he can continue to, um, to spread that so that you can continue to reach more people, especially those kids, because that, that's where the Lord is calling you to be. And yeah, I'm just, I'm thankful for you to be here. It's such an honor for you to be on here and talk about your testimony and all of these things a part of your life.
