Money is NOT a tool, it's a seed!

Money is a seed, not a tool. When you give it away, God multiplies it back to you in greater measure. The speaker uses Matthew 13, Malachi 3:8-10, and Luke 6:38 to argue that tithing and sacrificial giving unlock divine provision that beats any worldly investment.

If you're struggling with money, this video is for you. Stick around and watch the whole video because what you're going to learn today will permanently fix your finances, your business, and your entire life. You've probably never realized this, but you've been lied to. You've heard it before. Money is a tool. Money is a pathway to success. Money is the foundation of opportunities. Guess what? It's not true. It's not even close. People who are wealthy understand this one core concept about money, and when you figure it out, it will change your life Forever. Let's hop into the scriptures, and I'll show you where this understanding starts to get lost and how you can get it back. Okay, this is Matthew 13 in the ESV version. It's the parable of the sower, and we're going to start to see how seeds play a huge part in what ultimately comes to bear when it in the context of money. So that same day, Jesus went out to the house and sat beside the sea, and great crowds gathered around him. So that when he got into the boat and sat down, the whole crowd stood on the beach. And he told them many things in parables, saying, a sower went out to sow, and as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground and where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up since they had no depth of soil. But when the sun rose, they were scorched, and since they had no root, They withered away. And other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some 60, some 30. And who has ears, let him hear. This is obviously— we talked about this a little bit later. When the disciples came to him and said to him, why do you speak to them in parables? And he answered them, to you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it's not been given. For the one who has, more will be given, And he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away. This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don't see, hearing they don't hear, nor do they understand. Indeed, in their case, the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, and it says, you will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive. For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear. And their eyes they've been closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. For truly I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see and did not see it, and to hear what you hear and did not hear it. And so now Jesus goes on to explain it to them. Hear then the parable of the sower. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, The evil one comes and snatches away what's been sown in his heart. This is what's sown along the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, yet has no root in himself. So he endures for a little bit or a while, and then when tribulation or persecution arises on that account of that word, immediately he falls away. And as for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word but cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches Choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. But this is the powerful one. As for what is sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, another 60, and another 30. This sets the stage for what I'm about to talk about. Money was never meant to be a tool. It was meant to be a seed. The difference between tools and seeds are clear. Tools are things that are used to create things, but they themselves are still available after use. That doesn't sound like anything like money. When you use a seed, it's consumed. Whatever you plant dies and becomes something else, no different than money. Once you use money, it exchanges hands and now belongs to the other person. It's consumed in a transaction, and through that transaction, it will yield greater fruit. Let me give you an example from the Garden of Eden so you can kind of see how this starts to play into being. Whenever God wanted Adam and Eve to do something in order to grow, what did they have to do? They actually had to eat fruit in order to expose seeds. So unlike tools, which can create things just by doing something, seeds have to come and be exposed through a consumption model. That's how the kingdom of God works. That's how the finances within the kingdom of God works. Finances in the kingdom of God aren't tools; they're consumed because they're seeds. You have to expose what you're using in order to get the seed and then plant it. But the key thing is, is a person can count the seeds in an apple. But only God knows the number of apples that are in all those seeds. That's the difference. So whenever you go to do and you eat an apple, you expose the seed and you plant it in the ground. Those seeds become apple trees, which yield a bigger harvest. Money is the same concept, because now when you see the difference between a tool and a seed, you start to understand the nuances that tools are designed to build things. But money is designed to be multiplied and returned back to you in an amazing way. Let's hop into another Bible verse that kind of talks about it a little bit more. The next scripture we're going to be talking about comes from Malachi chapter 3. We're gonna start on verse 8 up here. Will man rob God? Yet you're robbing me. But you say, how have we robbed you? In your tithes and contributions. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and thereby Put me to the test, says the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there's no more need. And I will rebuke the devourer for you so they will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of Hosts. Then all the nations, they're going to call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of Hosts. So now that you and I are getting closer to the deeper meaning of the matter, I want you to understand is whatever you give up and return to the ground as a part of what What you're doing, God's going to return to you back multiplied. That's what he talked about here. We know that in scripture because whatever kind of seed that you sow, it's going to return to you in the same kind. No different as love begets love, hope begets hope. So why do you think other people who are always in despair continue to always thrive and ultimately struggle in despair? Not thrive in a good way, but thrive in a bad way. This is why you have— see people who have sour outlooks on life, they never excel in anything. Because they're planting a garden filled with seeds. Think about this. Now imagine a garden that's all they are, are despair plants. So what happens when despair plants grow? You have an entire harvest of despair. So whatever you plant is going to return to you in greater amounts. It never returns to you in the same amount. When you put a seed in the ground, it comes back to you more. It's always greater. That's the essence. Let's hop into this last scripture and see how that actually applies. And here's a powerful one from Luke chapter 6. We're going to go over to verse 38 right here. It says, give and it'll be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. So the truth of the matter is that the big lie that money is a tool is keeping people from being able to leverage it according to the way the scriptures work. It's about tithing. It's about putting your money back in the hands of God so that he can take your 10% and multiply it in ways that you can't do it. It's not how the world system works. Look at how the world system works. You've got stock markets, you've got bonds, you've got the investment market. There's lots of different ways, real estate and beyond. But when you look at the return rate of every single thing in the whole, the whole economy, what you're doing is, is you're using money as a tool. Because what you're doing is, is you're putting it somewhere and then it starts to generate interest or some form of return, but you own that, you own that portion. So it's like a tool. You continue to hold onto it and it's now still yours. So if you withdraw the stocks, assuming they don't go down, you actually get the money back plus a little bit of interest. Same with real estate. If you purchase a property, say for $1 million and it appreciates to maybe $1,500,000, now you're going to get, you'll get your $1 million investment back and you'll have $500,000 in growth. That's like a tool. It's like a hammer. It's like a screwdriver. You always have it so you can do something with it. But when you give your money to God, and this is the thing, this is the key thing, is when you're investing in the kingdom of God, you don't get that money back. It's gone. It's a donation. It's a tithe. It's a, it's an opportunity for you to put an obligation upon yourself and give into a place like an offering and do something sacrificially because you're never going to get it back. But what happens is, is God says you're not You're not going to get that money back, but that becomes a seed that's planted in the ground like a garden, and it returns to you in an overflowing way. That's the essence of how the kingdom of God, from a financial system, works and differentiates itself from the economy of the world. The economy wants you to use money like a tool. They want to put your money somewhere, take some interest, maybe get some growth, maybe get some investment opportunity. And again, I'm not saying those things are bad because we need to diversify how we're doing things. Totally understand that. But what I am saying is, is that you have to know that when you depend upon God, when you put the emphasis and you put a demand on your faith and you put these things in place that allow God to move in powerful ways through your generous giving, opportunity after opportunity after opportunity, being able to sow things— because remember, it's not always about money, it's sowing the physical things that you have. Maybe you've got a nice watch, maybe you got jewelry, maybe you got some nice sunglasses, maybe nice clothes. You've got a car that you want to sow, even if it's your only car. It doesn't matter when you start putting seed in the ground and you give it away and you know you're not going to get it back because it's not a tool, it's a seed. It's going to die and disappear. It's going to come back into you, pressed down, shaken together, running over in a harvest. It's no different than what Jesus said in Matthew 13 with the Word of God. A seed is a seed is a seed. The Word of God is a seed. Money is a seed. It operates the same because what it does, it's all about multiplication. The kingdom of God is about addition and multiplication, and it's always about radical multiplication. Nowhere in the scriptures does it talk about sub, you know, basically percentages, which is what the world talks about. Stock market, 20% return, maybe private equity, 30, 40% return. Real estate, if you hold on to it long enough, you can get 50 to 100% return. And obviously there's varying degrees. Within those, assuming you're going to continue to grow. But the kingdom of God is always a 2x, a 3x, 7x, a 10x. It's a 30x, 60x, 100x. It's always some form of major multipliers. And the only way that happens is through the consumption model. Because remember, everything in the Bible points back to Jesus. So how you operate money is exactly the same way you walk out life in salvation, because in salvation, the old self dies and the new self is resurrected by the Holy Spirit. It's exactly the same model. Every single thing points back to Jesus. And so we're on the fast heels of Easter this year. This will give you the opportunity to set your mind free, that use money as a seed. Give it up with the understanding that you're not going to get it back. It's not something that's going to return to you. But you know that when God blesses you, he may bless you in the same manner that you blessed other people. There's really good probability that's the case, but he'll also do it in overflow in other ways. And you will never lack in food. You will never lack in clothes. You will never lack in housing. And as you continue to grow on this amazing faith walk for God, what will happen is it'll transform your walk, all the things that's inside of you. When you delight yourself in the Lord, he will give you the desires of the heart. So when you delight in him and when you're giving as a cheerful giver, even sacrificially in tears, what he's going to do is going to see, wow, this person is all in for me. I'm going to bless them because it's his word. He has to live up to it. He's not a liar like a man. And so Trust him with your finances, start to be generous in your giving, and watch how money as a seed sets your entire foundation for your finances totally free.
