Operate From an Abundant Mindset

John Humenik teaches that abundance starts in your mind, rooted in Scripture and connection to Jesus. He argues the "poverty is piety" mindset is wrong, wealth is God's inheritance for kingdom impact, and you must think abundantly before you can act abundantly.

Hi, my name is John Humenik. Welcome to the channel. I'm so excited you're here. Today's topic is going to blow you away. You're going to want to stick around for this whole video because we're going to be talking about my book, Abundant Mindset, that just got recently released and how you can take the principles that I lived through, both good and bad, and apply them in your life to allow you to lead a victorious life in Christ. If you're new to my channel, I want you to subscribe and share this video with a friend because it's going to bless you in a big way. And I just want you to be encouraged because what we do is we put out amazing content on kingdom business, on spreading the gospel throughout the world. Our vision is exciting and we're moving mountains. We recently crossed a million subscribers on YouTube, and we're so excited to continue the work that we're doing today with you as we go forward. So one of the things, the key things to talk about with an abundant mindset is you must start with an abundant mindset. Now I know that's going to be an oxymoron, but let me explain with a key scripture. Let's go to John 10:10, one of the most favorite scriptures that I And not so much about the first part, but the second part definitely. It reads, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came." This is Jesus. That they may have life and life abundantly. The whole purpose of having an abundant mindset requires you to think abundantly. This is a core theme in successful people. If you ever see people that move out of poverty from contentment into success because there's a three-stage process, is that they want to be able to operate from. A posture of abundance. And you can only think about abundance before you can actually do it. It's not the other way around. You can't operate from an abundant posture if you're not thinking about it first. Everything that's sourced in this world comes through the spirit, through your mind, and into the world. And so you have to receive a spiritual revelation first. And that's the revelation, is that Jesus came For you to live life abundantly, that he didn't come to die on the cross for you just to get by, or you to find salvation and then just work your way back into the world and get back and caught in the same vices that you've been stuck with so for many years. The whole point that Jesus came is for you to live a victorious and dominant life here on this side of the earth. Now, you may be working with people, you may know people in your family, you may even have your own spouse that may speak down upon you. But that's not how God works. I've spent too much time in the quiet place, in the place where God loves you, to know his heart, to know how he yearns for your success and for your opportunities, for you to work from a place of no limitations. It's so key because you have to understand that God is a God of an infinite. He does not have a limitation. So you can't work with him from a posture of lack. You can't go from a posture of, I can't accomplish this, because when you're operating from a heavenly perspective, we're all seated in Christ. We talk about this on this channel a lot. You're all seated in the same seat with the same blessings, operating from the same power that Jesus is today, which means when you want to go do something, that you have the opportunity, you have the provision, and you have the capability to do it. We're gonna talk about all those things today, but it's so key because you have to understand is, is that you only are what you think. And this comes from Proverbs 23:7, which is one of the most powerful and famous ones in the entire Bible. It says, for as he thinks in his heart, so is he. If you think you're broke, you'll become broke. If you think you're rich, you're gonna have opportunities to become rich. You have to understand that this is a core aspect, your mindset. This is why the book is called Abundant Mindset. It's your mindset that must shift from a place of lack, a place of contentment, into a place of success and overflow. That's why it's so important. And when you start to operate from that place, you— what happens is, is that the opportunities are actually in front of you. That's the thing most people don't realize. The opportunities for you to be successful, to climb out of debt, to operate in kingdom business, to do all the things that God wants you to do, they're already there in front of you. You just can't see it. That's the thing that a lot of people miss is you're thinking about, well, I don't have an education. Well, I don't have the money. I don't have the background. I don't have the connections. God's got those doors already open for you right now in your life for you to take a step forward. Then there's another door that's gonna be available to you for you to take another step forward. The thing about it is, is that you can't see it until you open your mind. And that's what I didn't realize is there are always going to be opportunities for you to be successful in the kingdom of God, moving forward, but you have to recognize those moments and then seize them and then move forward. That's the key. When you start to understand that that's the start, what then is, is you can get into what Luke 14:28 talks about, because Jesus talks about this, is, but don't begin until you count the cost. For who would have begun the construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if they had enough money to finish it? The thing about the kingdom of God, which is really important, is that there is no plan B. God's plan for your life is already perfect. You don't have to change it. You don't have to go back and think about, well, what happens if this doesn't work out, or if this doesn't pan out, or if I don't make enough money here, or I— this didn't work out the way I thought it would. You don't have to worry about that. In the kingdom of God, there's only one plan, and that's Plan J. Plan Jesus, and that's it. You just move forward. And when you start to embrace that with faith-filled steps that talks about in James, now what happens is you start to unlock all the things that God has for you in your life. And that will then lead you to the next step, which is really starting to understand is, okay, once you've got your mindset in place and you're willing to move forward and say, okay, I already am, and operate from a place of abundance, now what happens is the next step is you're gonna Well, how do I take that next step? How do I see the next step? What is it? And if I see the next step, if it's over here or if it's over here, what do I do? With the key part is to understand is you've got to be able to have wisdom, knowledge, and understanding, the intelligence and revelation to be able to use it and to be able to implement it, to see it. And the key thing that we want to talk about today comes from Proverbs 1:7, and it says The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Fools despise wisdom and instruction. And now what you have to understand is, is that way— the way God's positioning you is, is that he needs you to take that first step. We talked about that. You need to put on the mind of Christ and be able to walk things out. Well, you need to do that because God's already positioned you for success. Now that you've recognized, okay, I'm in a position of success, What do I do? Well, you got to ask the Holy Spirit. You got to give me something in order for me to be able to move forward. Because the fact of the matter is, is the thing that's in front of you is literally in front of you, and you can't see it until the Holy Spirit reveals it to you. That's the beauty of the faith walk. That's the beauty of the things that he does. But you need wisdom. You need knowledge. You need understanding. You need greater intelligence. You need greater revelation. People have talked about when you grow up that your IQ can't change, that whatever IQ you have, whatever things you're doing, you're always static. We know that's a lie because the Holy Spirit talks about that we move from faith to faith and glory to glory. So what you need to do is you just need to ask him, make me smarter. Make me see the things that are in front of me that I'm refusing to acknowledge. Give me instruction, which is wisdom, to be able to walk these things out. We know knowledge is the what. That's so important. People will perish without a vision and they'll perish without knowledge. That's biblical. It's in the Bible. Yeah. I didn't write it. It was already there. What you have to understand is, is that those 2 things don't equate to success. In fact, all they do is point you in a direction. It's functionally like a true north. It's like a compass. It shows, okay, here's north. But if you're trying to get home, you're not going to follow the north unless your house is north. More than likely, you're going to go east, west, or south because that's the direction you want to go. But you're going to use that compass to keep you Pointed in the right direction as you're going. So you're in relation to true north. That's what wisdom is. Wisdom is that point that allows you to take a step forward and move with godly intent, with godly pace, godly patience, so that he can open the doors along the way. And this is really key because a lot of people don't recognize is that you may be ready for the next step in your life, but the people in your life that God wants you to work with aren't. So therefore, there's a waiting period as he prepares them for you so that when they come to you, it's already taken care of. That's the same with customers. That's the same with other leadership and mentors. It's the same with everything. So what you need to understand is, is you have to start to operate from overflow and abundance in these areas. He needs to fill you up so that you can always be at the tip of the spear. You can always be ahead of the curve so that when the things are coming in place, you're already ready for it because he's prepped you in the secret place. And when you understand is, is that God graces you to generate wealth, and not just little wealth, we're talking wealth upon wealth, then you understand is the Holy Spirit is going to guide you day by day in your faith walk to operate that way. And that's the thing is, is you have to walk these things out in faith. You have to believe in your heart and in your mind that these things are coming to pass. That these things are coming to you, and that when the opportunity presents itself, you're going to be ready for it. And that's key. That's what I learned. There's so many aspects of this faith walk that you just truly have to take on faith because you just don't know. And sometimes you don't even know until after the fact. And then God says, hey, did you think about this one thing that would— you did 6 months ago? And then he reveals it to you and you're like, oh. You were there all along guiding me. That's the essence of wisdom. That's the essence of understanding, is you have to be able to move forward with what you have, which may not be enough, but clearly it is. And that's key. But when you continue on this journey, the most important aspect— and we talk about this on this channel a ton— is your proximity to Jesus Christ. There is nothing more important in your walk than being close to Jesus Christ. It's so important. In fact, it's the only thing that's necessary. Luke 10:42 reads, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken from her. Jesus used necessary once in the entire Bible. That was it. That was the only place when Martha was busy making dinner and doing all the things in the house to get ready for Jesus as her basically amazing guest. Who wouldn't want to just cater to Jesus? But the thing about it is, is that God doesn't call you to serve him. That's the thing that a lot of people forget. We spend our lives serving God and pleasing people. That's not how it works. In fact, you're supposed to please God and serve people. And in fact, you will serve God through pleasure, through his— pleasing him, but it's not done from a heart of works. And this is especially hard for those people who have love languages that are acts of service. People that are oriented around work and doing work consistently will get caught up in this situation. And there's no question about it. Even Martha, clearly, if I had met her, I would have known this woman's love language was acts of service. And that's the key thing. We all operate from the posture of our love language towards others is the way we want to be loved ourselves. So when we serve others, what happens is we're expecting them to serve us. That's not what God calls us to do. God calls us to a relationship with him, and that relationship is born in the secret place. It's born with proximity to Jesus. It's born with a continuous posture of heart where he can pour into you and you can lay those burdens on that sacrificial altar on a day-to-day basis so that you can build that relationship so much faster. And this is a key thing because this core aspect is actually how you will become more successful in life and in business and in anything that you do, whether that's at school or at a job, whether it's your church or in your community. Relationships trump everything. It's the thing that everyone talks about. You hear it all the time. You hear it says, my net worth is my network. So if you have in your network people that are poor, that's who you're— that's your net worth. If you have in your network millionaires, then you can aspire to becoming a millionaire. If you have people in your network that are deca-millionaires, ones that are— have— that are 10,000, or centi-millionaires, which are 100, or even billionaires, guess what's going to happen? You will naturally gravitate to the peak that you are associating with. That's why your network is so important. That's why having Christ as a part of that relationship allows you to have no ceiling, because he doesn't have a ceiling. That's key. That's birth In that prayer closet. It's Matthew 6:6. It's the most important part of your day. It's about being able to being a part of that journey and walking it out with him, to continue to be a part of the things that he wants you to be a part of. And so you can hear him, because there'll be pivots that he's going to want you to do. There's going to be things that he's going to ask you to do that won't make sense. You're like, this doesn't make any sense. But yet in those moments, in that quiet time, he's going Foster that trust, and then you'll be able to walk it out in confidence and you'll be victorious every single time. So it's so key to be able to be a part of this. And in fact, if you take anything out of this video, this is the core concept, because if you just do this for the rest of your life, you will never fail in anything you do, period. It doesn't matter what you accomplish. It matters your relationship to Jesus at the end of the day. And the key thing is, as you continue to move forward, you have to stay attached to the vine. This is what comes from John 15:5. It says, I am the vine and you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do nothing. So when you start to walk this abundant mindset walkout, you have to recognize the most important thing is, is that once you have that relationship from Jesus, every single thing that you will accomplish from that day forward, every single skill that you learn, every single dollar that you make, every single customer that you get, Every single thing you accomplish will come from Jesus, period, bar none. Deuteronomy talks about this in 8:18. He confirms his covenant through your success. You are smart because of Christ. You are capable because of Christ. You have money because of Christ. Every single thing you have on this earth, whether you are a heathen or a saved Christian, period, comes from Christ. Everything you are comes from him. So you cannot accomplish anything the moment you try to Sever yourself from Christ. When you try to do something in your own flesh, what will happen is it'll become toil, it'll become work, it'll— all the peace of God will disappear, your joy will disappear, and all these things will just pass on by. When we started this channel a few years ago, when we really went hard in creating content, we were in the flesh. We were creating content on YouTube and we got nowhere for months. We were posting content, getting no views, and then we pivoted. We met a group. That helped us and taught us what to do. And then we got attached to the vine that is Jesus Christ. And guess what happened? 18 months later, we have a million subscribers, 70 million views. We have 20,000 confirmed salvations. We are on fire because it's not toil, but it is work. And so it's key to understand is, is that every single thing that God has in front of you is a blessing from him, and that you receive it as good fruit But you can only do that when you're attached to Jesus. So it's so important to continue to move forward in that same aggression and focus, but not in the flesh, but through the Spirit. Jesus will continue to prune you. He'll promote you. He'll allow those things to happen. And that's the thing, you've gotta embrace change. If you can't embrace change, you will struggle every step of the way because the whole kingdom of God is about change. There's nothing static about what Jesus does. It doesn't stay the same. It's always changing. And so you must understand that God will bless you, has a future for you. I mean, we read from Jeremiah 29:11 that he wants you to prosper, that he cares about you, he loves you, he wants for you to have a hope. And so it's so key. I mean, even look at another example. Look at Samuel 5:22-25. This is a perfect example of scripture in which A person's success can get to one's head if it's not done correctly. So David goes out in that scripture and fights against the Philistines. Now you have to recognize is that he clobbers them. That's it, they clobber them. So what they do is they come out and they're like, okay, we need to put an end to this king's rule before it gets started, otherwise he's going to ruin us. But David doesn't go into battle a second time to just clobber them, which he could have very easily have done. But what he did is he goes to the Lord and says, hey, what should I do? And God says, I'm going to go fight for you. Wait till the— wait till the troops come up and you can hear them on the treetops. I'm going to scatter them and you can go clean them up. And that's exactly what happens. That's the essence of staying attached to the vine. If you are not going to attach yourself to the vine that is Jesus Christ, what will happen is, is that you will start to do things in your own will, in your own time, through your own finances. And what'll happen is, is that it'll become all flesh and not divinely inspired. But God is so much greater than all of us, and he can bless us in ways that allow these things to pour out. And when you do and receive it that way, guess what happens? It's going to blow you away every single time because it's going to come naturally. And guess what? It's going to come very easy. The key part that I want to continue on this is that once you've postured yourself in this place where you're now attached to Jesus, you are listening to him, and you are constantly going through this, You have to recognize that the Holy Spirit is here to help you. The Holy Spirit is your key to being able to access all the things that are of God, because he's the God that's inside you. All the power, all the majesty, all the glory that comes up and through you is powered by the Holy Spirit. He is the one who can search the Father, the depths of the Father, to be able to intercede on your behalf, praying for you. That's Romans 8. He does this, but the key thing is understand he's your helper. He's, he's the one that Jesus left this earth in order for him to send. This is so important. Jesus could have stayed on earth, but Jesus in his form would have resided in a single place because he still has his human body as a part of the Godhead. But the Holy Spirit doesn't have a human body, so therefore he can live in every single believer and empower them. And it's key because this is what it says. John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to remembrance all that I have said to you. So not only does the Holy Spirit continue to foster the growth of wisdom, the growth of understanding, the growth of knowledge, he's your helper. He's going to bring back to the memory the things that you need in your life in order for you to move forward. That's so key because the end of the day, you're going to be judged by Christ at the, at the judgment seat of Christ for 2 things. As a Christian, you're judged for 2 things. Number one, whether you were obedient to the Bible. And number 2, were you obedient to the Holy Spirit? Because that's the key. It's the Logos word and the Rhema word. You don't understand that it's so important that you have to recognize both. A lot of Christians go through life walking out life Mm-hmm. This abundant life. And then they look at the Bible and say, okay, I'm biblically sound, I'm following the steps, but I'm not listening to the Rhema word of God, which comes through the Holy Spirit, in order to align the specific things in my life that God wants to walk out. There's so many things that God has showed me as a part of even this online ministry that we've built. He said, there's a certain number of people that I need you to reach on this side of eternity in order to bring salvation to them. You have a number. I need you to hit it. And he told me, he goes, that number is not a small number, but I would never have gotten that out of the scriptures. Even it talks about in the New Testament, it says, go and make disciples of all the nations. Well, okay, great. I'm going out and preaching. Maybe I decided to go on a mission trip and be a missionary. That's not my calling. In fact, my calling has been social media. That's my mission. That's my missionary mission. And that's where I'm blessed and operating in. So had I followed the Bible word for word, I may have done things in my flesh. I may have done and success part of the work that I would've done as a missionary. God's like, I mean, I need to call you as an online missionary. And through that work, that's where your success is. That's the thing that I want to impress upon you today is that you need to understand if you've gotta hear God's voice, And it's key because if you don't hear God's voice, more than likely— and it comes from John 8:43— is that you don't want to hear his voice or you can't recognize it. And God doesn't always speak in the small, still voice to you. He's going to speak through other people. He's going to speak through his Bible. He's going to speak through all these different, you know, mechanisms— nature. He'll speak to you from the social media feed. The thing about God is, is he has infinite ways. You've got to learn to recognize the voice of God in order to hear the voice of God. It's multi-stage. You have to recognize that he's going to speak to you because he's infinite in different ways. He's not just going to talk to you like I am today, but he can. So the Holy Spirit is that person who stands in the gap. He's your greatest teacher. He hands out that revelation knowledge. He's the one that will convict you. He'll keep you in the flow. And allow you to operate with those things that allow you to just grow and grow and not shrink back. And that's so important. What you now need once you have those things in place is now you have to apply the scriptures in a way that you recognize the truth from the lies. Because this is so important for Christians today. I cannot tell you that you cannot advance in the work in the kingdom unless you're able to do this. Because what will happen is you will get caught in a stronghold. Which is a lie that you believe, and you will stay there. Look at John 8:31-32. It says, so Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, if you abide in my word and you truly my disciples, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. This is the most important part of your walk at this stage, is, is that when you get to this point, you cannot believe the truth of the world. You cannot believe the truth that you believe, because the reality is, is neither of them are true. You are meant to rule as a king or queen in the, in the kingdom of God. There is no middle ground. Rule means rule. You are royalty, and you have to understand that the words that you speak over your life mean a ton. If you are wanting breakthrough but you are talking negative, you are literally preventing yourself from accomplishing the things that you have. It's so key. It's so important to know the truth. It's so important to understand not to speak lies. It understands that you are seated in Christ in heavenly places, that the blessings he has in heaven you have. And since you're still operating under an open heaven— because remember, when the Holy Spirit descended to baptize, part of the baptism with John the Baptist, he didn't close heaven. That opening is still there. So all of these things— the veil was torn top to bottom. That was a 30-foot veil. No human did that. That, that blanket or that, uh, that, that setup, the material probably weighed hundreds and hundreds of pounds. No one at that time would have been strong enough to rip that from top to bottom, but God did. So all these things— you have access to the throne of grace, you can come boldly before God, and you can only do that when you're operating from that posture of victory. And that victory only comes through believing the things that are in the Bible and pushes all those things out. And if you can't do that What will happen is, is you will just get caught in a cycle where you will basically be hitting some glass ceiling and you can't bust out. The reality in that situation is, is that when you're trying to hit a glass ceiling and you're like, I want to break through, more than likely it's some lie that's keeping you from actually accessing that next realm of success. When you've punched through and recognized that the truth of the Bible is what you've got to stand on, that you've got to be able to recognize the truths and just not accept the lies of the world regardless of how good they sound. The most important thing is, is you've got to work on your heart. And Luke 6:45 talks about this: out of a good person's heart— I said the good person— out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and an evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So your heart— so we talked about the mind of Christ, but you've got to take on the heart. of the Father. Your actions and everything you posture going forward will come from your heart posture. And I can tell you, when I sit down with a person, I can tell whether or not their heart is corrupted or not, or it's tainted or hurting, because you can see it. You can see it out of them because they can't disguise it. There's no way the greatest liar in the history of the world can disguise his or her heart because they can't Again, their heart is something that is apparent in their actions, their mannerisms, and all the things. Those are things you can't disguise. A person who has a pure heart has pure motives. A person has pure heart has pure words. That person is a person who is connected to Christ, the vine, sitting in the presence, being obedient to the Holy Spirit, hearing the voice of God, and walking it out. And that's so important because if are going to be able to steward people. Because that's the thing, God gives everyone a vision, but that vision requires other people to walk it out. You're going to be able to have to deal with people who aren't in their right frame of mind. God's going to send you your mighty men and women like he did David, and you're going to have to be operating from a heart posture that allows you to steward these people in a proper way, because everything you do is a ministry to Ultimately, it is. Everything you do has to be a fragrant offering back to the Lord, and it's so important that you understand that those are the things that are key. When you've accomplished all those things, the next step in your journey is you have to recognize the graces that you have. And Ephesians 4:7 talks about this as, however, he has each given one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. You have to recognize the graces God has on your life. It's so important because when you are starting to grow in Christ, God's gonna surround you with people. We talked about this earlier, and you know that your network is your net worth. And what, what one of the biggest temptations you're going to have is that there's gonna be a person in your network that's going to be very successful, probably much further ahead than you are. And what you're gonna wanna do is like, wow, let me steal that grace. And be successful in the space that, that he or she are operating in. But that's not what God wants. He would not have put that person in your life for you then to do that for them. In fact, if anything, you, you may be a part of their life making them more wealthy so that he can teach you how to move forward in your graces later. That's gonna be a key thing. I've seen this happen over and over again where people steal the graces of others so that they can become wealthy. And therefore they become successful. And it's— then it's done. And now you've been disobedient to God because the grace that you were supposed to have was over here, and you took this other person's grace, which would then affect everything that they were doing over there. And that's key. Don't chase other people's graces. Operate in them, but don't chase— don't chase them, because you're going to have different seasons. You're going to have different things that are going on. And remember, it's seasonal. Not every season bears fruit, but if you have enough seasons running parallel, you'll start to recognize that the provision that you're getting today isn't for today, okay? It's key. You'll be able to leverage it, but it's a staging thing for tomorrow. So what God's going to do is he's going to give you opportunity and finance for this moment, but then this becomes a staging ground for something later, and it will build and build and So what you have to recognize is that your previous grace that you may be operating in yesterday may not be looking like what today's grace and the future grace looks like tomorrow. But what God will do is will guide you through this process artfully and carefully so to be able to, be able to see the things that he wants you to see. And that's going to be awesome. Now, when you understand that you need to operate from your grace, even though you may be operating in other people's graces as you're growing up is, is then you'll start to recognize that every single thing in the kingdom of God, every single thing in the kingdom of God, the second thing is always greater than the first. The third thing is always greater than the second. God is an infinite God. He does not have to shrink back and do things. Think about this. God talks about this in the key scriptures that I'm about to give you, and he talks about faith to faith and glory to glory. Romans 1:17, it says, for in the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, the just shall live by faith. And then you go to 2 Corinthians 3:18, and he talks about, but we all, with unveiled face beholding as a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into that very same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. You have to understand that as you move forward in life, that there is no no worse seasons in the past. There are wilderness seasons, which are preparation seasons for future things, but there are no seasons that are designed to drag you back. Now, there is a pruning season that may rip out a bunch of things outta your life that you may not want, but then stage you for something greater. Those happen, but those were only preparation seasons for something even more important. So recognize that God always wants you to move forward. This is what it talks about retirement. I've talked about this on this channel. Retirement is demonic. There's nothing heavenly about it. In fact, the only people that God ever instructed to retire were the priests that served at the temple so that other people could serve at the temple, because there was a fixed amount of people, and so they could go on and do other things. So that's the only time. Moses lived to 120. Abraham lived to 175. You have to recognize that all of these people in the Bible Live their life in victory, operating until the time that they meet the Lord Jesus Christ. And so that's key. But you can't base your life upon previous successes because old successes don't carry over to future seasons. What happens is, is that everything God does is a staging ground for something else. It's always a forward and up motion. You go forward and you go up. You go forward and up. It's like a staircase. And that's key. That's what you see in— when you see with miracles, you see scaling miracles, you see deliverance and scaling deliverance. Nothing is ever the same because as you're moving forward and up, it's just like this ramp that happens. And that's how you can tell the people in your life that continue to grow, because season over season there's this constant growth and this forward movement, and they continue to success upon success. And what you see is, is that it doesn't stop. Whereas you see other people who are caught, as we talked about before, maybe a lie, they hit a glass ceiling, maybe they took something that wasn't theirs, or they started toiling in their flesh, or they're not letting go of some successful previous season so God can give them another successful season of something different. You have to understand that it's so important that you must surrender, be humble and obedient To the walk of Christ. This comes from Philippians 2:5-7. In relationship to one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, who, being in the very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage. Wow, talk about surrender and humility. Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. Think about it from Christ's perspective. Jesus Christ is one with the Father, one with the Holy Spirit, and they're like, hey, we want to have a family. We want to go and we want to have people that will love us of their own choice. Well, guess what? The moment you give someone a choice, that means there goes both directions. So they know the moment they do that, sin is going to enter the world, and they know when sin enters the world that they're going to need a savior. here. And yet, in spite of all of that, Jesus is like, okay, I'm gonna have billions of people being born on the planet because God doesn't do anything simple, doesn't do anything small, and he's gonna— I'm gonna come and die for them. And he did it willingly. And so he took all the glory and made himself nothing. Now, we don't really understand the scale of what that means, and in fact, we may never truly understand it because we may have to understand the full nature of God. And we don't know even in our future forms, you know, in the new heaven and new earth, will we the capacity to truly grasp that. We probably could, but to truly grasp that— and then he was able to basically say, okay, I'm going to make myself a human, and I'm going to grow up like a human. I'm going to grow up in wisdom and stature, because that's what it talks about in the Bible. And therefore, all these things I'm going to become— I'm going to surrender, I'm going to become obedient and humble myself to my Father so that I can die on the cross, resurrect, and come back alive Rule in heaven with him for my people, who vast majority of them don't even love Jesus and never do. But he does it for the 99. He leaves the 99 and goes for the one. That's the thing. So when you're on this walk with Jesus Christ, you have to learn to get you out of you. You aren't the source of your success. You aren't the source of your victory. You have to learn to be able to have a daily renewing of your mind. You have to be able to say, okay, What is my purpose for today? Is it a day of rest? Is it a day of work? Is it a day of focus? Is it a day of study? Is it a day of meditation? Is it a day of prayer? Is it a combination of things? You have to start to expand yourself and start to pray some crazy prayers. You need to say prayers like, "Hey, I'm a millionaire today. I'm a billionaire tomorrow." You have to be able to say that everyone in my family is going to be saved, that everyone that isn't saved will be saved, and not only will they be saved. Saved, they'll be touched by the Holy Spirit, baptized in his fire, and live an on-fire life for Christ for the rest of their life. You have to be able to say, I'm going to save a million people for Jesus Christ. You have to recognize that Christians are meant to dominate. The whole purpose of this mindset is to take people up and out of the constructs that the world has put them in, the boxes that they placed you in, and to allow you to have this unlimited mindset with with no capacity other than just to do everything. That's the key, that your capacity is that there is no limit. And so you understand is, is that the Holy Spirit will flow to those low places in humility where people are surrendered, where people are operating, allowing God to take more ground inside of you in order to operate from a place of victory. Because the moment he does that and you get to a place of surrender, humility, and obedience, You'll start to recognize the core concepts of things that have been bogging you down for all your life, and lies like poverty is piety. Because the reality is, poverty, poverty is not piety. And it talks about this, Deuteronomy 8:18. We talked about it before, but the scripture reads, "You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the power." Okay, the power to get wealth. That's a very big statement. And He says that He confirms His covenant. that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. So God gives you power to get wealth. This is so important because Christians and a lot of the world will say Christians are meant to give all their money to the poor, give it to the homeless, feed the sick, take care of the people in hospitals, go visit those in jail, and you're supposed to remain broke for the rest of your life. The moment that lie came into the church, which was around 1500, AD, it broke the church completely. The church was thriving, financially successful, and dominating and taking space everywhere it was going. And then they accepted this lie from the devil, and guess what happened? It ruined everything. And now what happened is, is it broke everything. When you go see a pastor and you see— well, I see the pastor salary. Do you get indignant when you understand your pastor salary? But do you read the Bible that says that the pastor are worth double, that they're supposed to be paid double, even the people that are making a lot of money. That's the thing that people don't see, is that when you operate, the worker is worth their wages. Which means is that when you operate from a place of piety, it means that you're operating from a place of humility. But that does not mean you're supposed to be broke. You can't run a single business without money. The kingdom of God requires trillions and trillions of dollars. Not billions, not millions— trillions. And your business that God wants you to build will start off with millions and millions and move into billions and billions and possibly into trillions and trillions. And so you've got to understand is, is that these lies of the world that hold you back, that you are not supposed to be lavishly wealthy, are lies. That we'll talk about this. You'll see people say, well, that's prosperity gospel. That's this. No, the gospel by definition is the spreading of the word of Christ. It's the spreading of the Bible. It's teaching and understanding and discipleship. But once you're already saved, the, the gospel transitions to the— from salvation to success. That's the thing that a lot of people miss. And when you transition from salvation, now God wants you to be successful. You can't be successful if you're You can't take care of your children and give them the education that you want or be able to pay for the college that they want if you're broke. You can't take care of your parents as they get older to help with their medical bills or housing bills or anything that they have if they're unable to— physically unable to do things, if they've not stewarded their money, if you're broke. The thing about it is, is you are supposed to get things pressed down, shaken together, and running over. You need to be sowing sacrificially because those who sow in tears will reap rewards and blessings and cry out to God. It's so key because that's the way the kingdom of God works. There's a huge aspect, and I talk about these in other videos, that giving is a part of this. This series, Abundant Mindset, is going to move into Abundant Overflow, which will be the second book, and the last one will be Abundant Generosity. These books are meant to be staging grounds for you to operate, but the mindset part is where it's key. You cannot carry a mindset of poverty, of lack, of the— you can't accomplish something, because God is the one who owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He's the one that says the gold is mine, the silver is mine. The earth is his. The earth is his footstool. Everything that's on this earth he put here for the benefit of us. So you have to understand that wealth is meant to be a part of your, your inheritance. Why was there gold in Genesis 2 before the fall of man? They didn't need money in, in Genesis. They didn't. They— because there was no economy. Everything was provided to them. Why is it the kingdom of God is a kingdom of consumption in order to do production? Why do you have to consume something in order to produce something. When you start to recognize these core concepts— and I don't have time in this video, but we talk about them in other videos— when you start to understand that God is a consuming God that then creates production through that, then you become more productive. It becomes great. Think of it from the perspective of a pizza. You have 8 slices and you eat one. Now there's 7, so another person can come along and eat another piece, but eventually the pizza is gone. But in the Garden of Eden, if you consumed an apple, it exposed Seeds. And if you planted those seeds, those seeds would turn into apple trees, which then will produce more apples. That's the kingdom of God. Your wealth that he blesses you with is meant for you to sow back in, to explode and grow. That's the essence of generosity. That's the essence of how the kingdom works. That's the part that poverty is piety— poverty is piety cut off for the kingdom of God, because what it did is it made money the enemy Because the reality is, is it's the love of money, not money, that's the root of all evil. That's what that did, and it ruined all the things that the kingdom of God wanted to operate in. And if you're stuck in that situation, I want you to break that mindset, because again, it starts here before it can operate in the kingdom. And so let me leave you with this last section to talk about abundant overflow, which is actually a preview into the next book that I'm currently writing. It comes from 2 Corinthians 9:8. 8 and says God is able to bless you abundantly so that at all things, at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. Every single thing you put your hand to will become gold. Every single thing that you accomplish will become great. You are the faucet that is funneling huge volumes of water. But guess what? The faucets also get wet. That's the key aspect, is, is that when you start to understand and operate in overflow, what will happen is, is your mindset will set you up to be successful and to push out all the lies that the world has established in your mind. And you'll be able to start to see the things that are in front of you. The Holy Spirit will show you. You'll be attached to God. You'll start chasing the things he wants you to chase, because that's where your blessings is. That's the whole essence of Jehovah Jireh. When you recognize what happened with Abraham when he went to Mount Moriah to sacrifice Isaac, The ram was on the top of the mountain, it wasn't below. So he had to take Isaac all the way to the top, but then he actually had to go through almost with the act of killing him before God would open his eyes to see the ram. That's the essence of Jehovah Jireh. That's where your blessings are. You've got to go through this faith walk to see and experience. You have to transform your mind to be able to break free of the lies and to move forward. And then when you get to a place of success, it'll become a massive plateau which you will be able to operate and land and expand. But what will happen is, is then it'll start to overflow. And whatever you did to get to that place, God's gonna say, okay, great, take all those learnings, take all those things, and let's do something else. Let's expand what you've built. Let's continue to go bigger. And what will happen is this overflow will start to happen, and the people that you've brought and you've stewarded and you've cared for, your mighty men and women, what will happen is, is they will become successful, that they become become more successful and grow. Look at the PayPal Mob as a perfect example. The folks that grew out of Four Systems in Pittsburgh and all the businesses they did— every single successful entrepreneur who's done it right has made millionaires and billionaires of the people around them, and they went and created more companies. The PayPal Mob founded YouTube. If you look at the group, that group, and all the things that came out of it, it's incredible because they become machines of overflow. That's what God wants for you. He wants you to become a machine of overflow, a tentpole that allows you to move forward in success and operate from victory to victory, glory to glory, and faith to faith. And that's the essence. But it all starts with your mindset. It all starts today in understanding and recognizing the things God has instilled in you, the things that he's calling you to do, for you to walk out, stay in your own lane, be successful, And be patient, because as God prepares everything around you, you'll just step into it one section at a time. And what will happen is, is just like everything, it's a hockey stick. It'll start off slow, and all of a sudden it'll be— you'll, you'll take off, and next thing you'll know, you'll be in overflow and growing and growing. And then what you've done to be successful to this point, you're just going to replicate over and over again in a big and mighty way. I hope that this video blessed you in a mighty way.
