Operating in the prophetic through permission

In this Day 6 teaching of the "The Prophetic" series, the speaker explains how prophetic ministry should be exercised with explicit permission and a heart of sonship or daughtership. He begins by reminding viewers of the three purposes of prophetic words—edification (encouragement), exhortation (positive correction), and comfort—and stresses that delivering these under permission minimizes rejection and opens hearts. The talk outlines practical steps: before sharing a word, pray over it, journal it, and then ask the recipient, "May I share a word with you?" without necessarily invoking God’s name unless instructed. The speaker warns against operating from an "orphan spirit" that leads to forceful or inappropriate delivery, urging a loving, relational posture. He shares a striking anecdote about Prophet Rob Sanchez, who once delivered a prophetic message through physical violence as God directed, illustrating that God’s methods can be unconventional but should remain rare and context‑specific. The lesson emphasizes tailoring delivery to the individual—considering setting, tone, presence of others, and the recipient’s preferences—and recommends role‑playing with family to hone delivery. Throughout, the speaker ties the approach to biblical principles (e.g., 1 Corinthians 14) and the example of Jesus’ compassionate ministry, concluding with a call to practice, pray, and share the video.

Hello everyone, day 6 of The Prophetic. We're here to talk about practicing with confirmation. So I hope you've been enjoying this series, uh, with these long-form videos here on YouTube. We've been able to cover a lot of ground. So if you've been enjoying these series, please subscribe to the channel as well as share this video with at least a couple people because this is really going to help bless others and really apply in a lot of different areas. Yesterday's video that was posted was on the four pillars of Christianity, and that really applies very profoundly in the prophetic, but also applies in every aspect of your Christian walk. So even if you're not walking under the prophetic anointing, but if you're under the teacher anointing, the evangelist, or possibly even the apostle, it's going to really, really bless you. And this one will also bless you today. So as we go forward in the prophetic, one of the key things to understand is is you want to be able to. To unlock the hearts of those people that you are speaking into. Because remember, 1 Corinthians 14 talks about this. We need to be sharing the prophetic under 3 primary areas: edification, which is really another word for encouragement; exhortation, which is another word for just helping them have a sharp correction but in a really positive way. It's kind of like you're— it's kind of like you're cheering them on, like, yes, You can do this. And then comfort, which obviously is kind of, you know, no different than just wrapping your arms around someone and giving them an amazing hug. And so when you're dealing with the prophetic, this is something that can be a challenging thing for people to receive. And you want people to receive it because it opens their hearts and allows them to hear the word and it penetrates deeply. And the opportunity for rejection Is very much minimized. And this is a really important thing. So when you're in the prophetic and God is giving you words of knowledge and words of wisdom, words of exhortation, the key thing to understand is as you're going up and God's instructing you, okay, it's time to share this word with someone. And obviously we talked about that process before. You should be— as you receive words from God, you should be praying over them. Is it something he just wants you to get back to him? Is it something you should be journaling or categorizing? And maybe you have A bigger, more powerful word that categorizes multiple prophetic messages. Maybe you need some interpretation. But at the end of the day, when you're at a point where you now need to share a word with someone, the key thing is, is you must always operate under the context of permission. Obviously, if you're operating in a church, you're going to be operating under the context of submission. But today we're really going to be focusing on permission. So what does that really look like? You get a word from God and God's like, go over there and tell that person. I love them. Very common thing. It's really important. So what do you do when you walk up to that person? You— and especially if you don't know them, because that will happen— if you're— you have to say, yes, hey, I have a word for you. Are you ready to hear it? You don't necessarily have to add the fact that it came from God. Now, in different situations, God may say, I need you to say it this way, and you may have to have a certain tone. You may have to have a certain delivery. You may have to deliver it word for word. Don't allow people to correct you in how you are delivering your word. Make sure that you are focused the way God wants you to deliver it, and you'll learn how he wants to do it. I've actually had people come up to me and talk to me about the way I've delivered the Lord— the word to them in particular styles, and then I had God correct me and say, why are you listening to them? I told you to deliver it this way. Who are they to tell you what to do when I've specifically instructed you? And so it's really important when you're coming with the heart of the Father and you're coming from a posture of sonship or daughtership, you want to give it in a lovingly way, more times than not. And so if you're starting at that point, if you're giving that word and you've unlocked them and you're like, hey, I have a word for you, maybe a word of encouragement, maybe a word of exhortation, A word of comfort. There's lots of different ways to stylize it. God may give you some room to kind of put your own flair to it. Hey, I may have an exciting word for you. Can I share it with you? There's so many different ways. You can say, hey, I got a word from God. He wanted me to share it with you. Don't be afraid to say that, because if that's what God told you to say, then you can say it. You don't have to be corrected by the, the, the church or other people. Make sure that you are following the way God wants you to deliver it. Now, The key thing to understand is, is that if you're operating out of an orphan spirit, this is where things can get sideways. Because now you're gonna start potentially operating out of your sphere of influence. You may be operating out of turn. Maybe you have a heavy word, but you deliver it like a sledgehammer. What we're really trying to do is avoid all those situations and kind of come through a heart of God. And that's key. If you're coming through the heart of God, even if they don't receive it well, even if they do say it was okay, Let God work with that person. Let God work with them because that may be the way they needed to hear it in order for them to be successful in receiving it. I'll give you an example that I heard. So Prophet Rob Sanchez is a really well-known prophet, operates out of Sacramento, really wonderful anointing on his life. Had a chance to read The Prophetic Voice, his book, and also participating in his SOAR class. So good. And one of the things he had in his book is God actually had him deliver a message literally with his fists. I have never seen it. Actually, to be honest with you, I'm not even sure how you can correlate that to be a biblical thing, but that's what God told him, and he went and he literally physically beat someone up. Now, am I condoning violence? Absolutely not. Am I asking you to To beat someone up with your words? Absolutely not. But what, what is in his book, which again is really shocking testimony, is that person received the word through violence. And the Lord said, through violence it was given to you, through violence it would be taken away from you. And even as I'm reading this, I'm like, man, this is such, such out of the wild. Like, this is such out of left field. How can this be a biblical action in which God would want to operate, yet that man received it. And even the people in the church said, yeah, that would, that would make sense, what, given how that person treated other people, that's occurred. And so, you know, when you start to think about God and how you operate, it is— he is an infinite God and he's going to use things differently. I can pretty much assure you that I probably will never hear That story in any way, shape, or form ever again. I just don't expect God to be asking people to taking things into their own hands literally. But those things are— you have to understand as how God wants you to operate. Why would I give such a, such a shocking illustration? Because the way God wants you to approach a person is going to be unique for that person in that instance, and it's key to be attentive to the Lord. In 99 million times out of a billion, whatever that is, the number it is, it's going to be through the heart of God, done through edification, exhortation, and comfort. And so I just really want to encourage everyone today to make sure you're attentive to God and make sure you are operating out of a spirit of sonship, a spirit of daughtership, a spirit of adoption, that you're coming things with love, allowing people— because remember, you should be putting yourself in that other person's shoes of If you're going to receive this word of God, how would you receive it? How you want it delivered? How you want to do it? You know, should you be pulling them aside? Should you be putting your arm around them? Should you have a third person there? There's all these different aspects in which you're giving a person a word of the Lord and being able to just put it in a place where they can receive it. Maybe they need— maybe it needs to be done over lunch. Maybe it doesn't need to be done in a public setting. Maybe it needs to be done in a group setting where there you, you can edify other people. There's so many aspects that go into this, and I just want you to be really attentive that God will not always operate within the context of how you think he'll operate. But operating through confirmation allows that person to receive the word in a profound way, opens their heart. They can receive it. You can minister to them. You can love on them, and you can care for them. And even in the story of, you know, Prophet Rob with that individual, he did go back and check up on him, and he, he actually received it and grew. And, and Rob did say that there was something that was a really one-time thing, and it did change his life. And so these are the things that God operates with prophets, and through confirmation, through being able to make sure that you have permission To talk to people. I encourage you to continue practicing on yourself in your prayer time. If you've got family members, pray over them and then actually role-play this. Like, this is something that I would really encourage. If you're married, you have a spouse, if you have children, role-play this over and over again. Get good at it because the delivery is key. Having a warm heart with a loving mind is going to be critical for the prophetic anointing to flow. Flow through you. Because you got to remember, if Jesus was there delivering this message to that person, how would he do it? That's what you want to do. And you'd be surprised in the many ways Jesus delivered it. Remember, Jesus did rebuke Peter. He did overturn the money tables. But that was such a small percentage of his ministry. He was— so much more was about him being emotionally attached to the people Loving them, crying over them. That's what the prophetic is all about, is a deep-seated connection that you can help and minister to people through permission to enable them to receive the word of God so that they can take it and have these life-changing moments to drive them towards Christ, to drive them towards ministries that God's calling them to, or even possibly drive them away from sin. I hope this message blesses you. As I said before, please subscribe and share this video with some folks. That may also find it very interesting. And if you have any questions, feel free to put them in the comments, and we'll, we'll talk again tomorrow when we start to close out this series and day 7. God bless.
