A Christian argues that Halloween contradicts the faith because it celebrates darkness and death rather than light and life. The speaker cites the founder of Satanism as saying he's pleased Christians let their children participate in a day honoring the devil.
Listen to this.
The origin of Halloween, we know, is evil, but some people will argue, well, Christian Christmas and Easter, the origin is bad. But in reality, why we don't celebrate Halloween is because not of just the origins, but because of what it promotes. It promotes darkness, it promotes fear, and it promotes death. As Christians, we're the light of the world. We are also people of faith. And we're people that promote life. And so I don't know how anybody like in their right mind can celebrate something that brings death, darkness, and fear. You know, we're already fighting devils and demons on every corner. And the founder of Satanism, he actually said, I'm so glad that Christians allow their kids to celebrate the devil one day of the year.
