John 15:9. As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Now remain in my love. Jesus spoke clearly that he only does what he saw the Father doing. As the Father loves him, so he loves us. He loves us perfectly, willing to go to the cross on our behalf. He knew that we couldn't reconcile ourselves to the Father, so Jesus took it upon himself to right all the wrongs. You have to understand the position that Christ took. That he knew that he had to die in our place at the dawn of time, long before any of us was born, in order to reconcile ourselves to the Father. So when he died, the veil was torn from top to bottom, opening the pathway to the Father, so we no longer needed priests or sacrifices to come in his presence. That's how deeply Jesus loved us, because he knew that by his grace, by his power, he could redeem us to the Father and sanctify us for all time. God bless.
